  1. I have Nectar 3 (3.3.0), but unfortunately doesn’t show an update for me. I guess it’s really an update for Nectar 3 Plus.
  2. Here’s the corresponding video: I would suggest sharing the video rather than the Waves link since that’s what’s publicly available.
  3. These plugins are fully supported on Windows. https://support.airmusictech.com/en/support/solutions/articles/69000801954-air-music-tech-windows-11-compatibility For macOS, these plugins were updated for Big Sur (but with Rosetta, not Native): https://support.airmusictech.com/en/support/solutions/articles/69000801956-air-music-tech-macos-11-big-sur-compatibility They’re still supporting these, but just doing compatibility fixes, no new features. For mature plugins, that’s pretty good. If you are on macOS, expect these will never be Apple Silicon Native (they have new SKUs that replace the functionality of these). Otherwise, these are very good for the price.
  4. One thing I learned about PSP is that their plugins AFAIK are all zero latency, which is a huge plus if you're doing stuff live. I regret that I missed that deep discount while I was researching and deliberating. MixBox can build up a bit of latency depending on the modules used (not a problem if not using it live), but MixBox can still be used live--you just have to avoid certain modules that cause a lot of latency (to make it low or very low latency, but not no latency).
  5. Definitely a good deal for the price. I agree with cclarry--it's a no brainer. Do they still give the Sunset Sound Reverb Collection with new purchases or was that a temporary offer? Also, I don't know the current relationship between MixBox and MixBox for iPad (which they made it free). Not sure if the regular MixBox unlocks MixBox for iPad. I bought both before and paid like $7 to unlock the SSRC. Anyhow, definitely a powerhouse of a plugin.
  6. Alesis now bundles a new BFD Player with some of their drum kits, so that's integration (Alesis and BFD) that makes sense. https://www.alesis.com/products/view2/command-mesh-special-edition https://www.alesis.com/products/view2/surge-mesh-special-edition Free Premium Sound Pack & BFD Player Software Connect your drum kit to a PC or Mac via USB and unlock an expanding library of add-on premium drum kits with BFD Player. Featuring meticulously recorded drum sounds that are great for practice or recording into your favorite DAW, BFD Player is a plugin and standalone software instrument that delivers top-notch drum sounds with a simple-to-use interface. https://www.bfddrums.com/drum-software/bfd-player.html
  7. I have Amp Room. Shows that I own all the other suites except for the Marshall Suite, which is $49 to upgrade. When I apply the promo code, it jumps to $89. 🤷‍♂️ I have the Plexi, Silver Jubilee, and Bluebreaker, and Marshall Cab Collection. The only one I know I’m missing is the JMP 2203. Not sure what else I’m missing.
  8. Is there a major release version coming? Right now, there's no reason to upgrade since the latest PA version of 4.5.8 matches the latest Deskew version 4.5.8. I purchased GP4 for less than $99, so I don't qualify for a cross-grade--I don't think I'll rebuy a new version for full price. What I have works well enough for my purposes, which is mainly testing out plugins (since it has incremental scanning, it has the fastest scanning of new plugins), but I haven't delved into more complex setups. For keys, I think pretty linearly, in terms of inserts, and FX busses. So, for what I want, for just a simple VI preset selector within the context of a song set, Studio One Pro Show Mode or Steinberg Live Pro are much easier to set up, though those are not as mature as GP. I like GP, but not for $199. I also think the graphics could use a bit of polish.
  9. My email shows: SUMMER23-DIGITALV3 Code expires June 8, 11:59pm PST
  10. Thumbs up from this GNU Emacs user. I remember using Epsilon on Windows (or was it MSDOS?). Also used mg (back when memory and disk space was more precious).
  11. Cakewalk Next supports Mac! Rewriting a Windows DAW to support Mac is not trivial. BandLab has been quite generous giving away such a full featured DAW all these years.
  12. https://ehomerecordingstudio.com/acoustic-treatment/ https://ehomerecordingstudio.com/acoustic-foam-panels/ If you're handy: For acoustic panels, DIY with Owens Corning 703 (mentioned above), but you can find more detailed instructions in other forums. For bass traps, you can DIY with fiberglass insulation.
  13. The code can be dual licensed. I don't know any details, but that's another possibility (the proprietary license doesn't require publishing the source code).
  14. Since it's mentioned that it's "created in partnership with brilliant engineer Jatin Chowdhury", Impact Soundworks could be licensing some of the code directly from the author (of course it depends on how much of the code was his and how many was contributed, but he could always just rewrite the contributed code so none remains).
  15. I've had BIAS FX 2 LE since 2020 but haven't been using it. This post got me to update and take a look at it again. It now has three new Remaster Series amps (Blackface, Plexi Lead, and Treadplate). The previous amps are now under Legacy Series. I don't recall that Guitar Match was unlocked in LE before so it's nice to see that feature now available.
  16. I find this browser add-on incredibly useful during these sales: https://github.com/m36/PA_owned Install, go to https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/manage-plugins.html first before going to https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products.html. With this, I can easily see which plugins I own and which ones I don't.
  17. OK, I'll do likewise, since I don't know any better.
  18. Gig Performer 4 has become my preferred plugin host for plugin maintenance (deleting unused/unwanted/non-working AU/VST/VST3 plugins) as it scans new plugins incrementally. Once I have my plugin directories cleaned up, then I go to my other DAWs to scan/categorize.
  19. That's a great deal if one didn't already have KOMPLETE SELECT. Good way to get on the upgrade cycle in anticipation of the summer sale (50% off upgrades).
  20. Got VOS Slick EQ GE. Now, just need Nova and Limiter to complete my GE collection.
  21. Couldn't hold out. Purchased the 5-pack for $35 (thanks to Jam Points). Got Joe Chiccarelli Vocal Strip, FAME Studio Reverb, and The Farm Stone Room. Trying to figure out which two of TASCAM Tape Collection to get.
  22. Hm. This’ll be a great way for me to almost top off my T-RackS from the group buy. I’m only missing 7 of the latest. $50 - $15 (Jam Points) or $35 is a great price for: - The Farm Stone Room Studio Reverb - Joe Chiccarelli Vocal Strip - FAME Studio Reverb and two of - TASCAM 388 - TASCAM Porta ONE - TEAC A-3340S - TEAC A-6100 MKII Any suggestions for the tape emus? Very tempting. Not sure I can hold out for a MAXgrade to Total Studio 4 MAX.
  23. FYI, Model D is a part of the PreSonus Studio Magic Suite, bundled with some PreSonus hardware.
