    New monitors hunt.

I liked my Adam T7V, Adam 'T' series are bang for the buck. They are designed for mixing/recording and reasonably 'flat' with controls on back side to adjust low and high freq. They have a ribbon tweater, so the high frequencies give you less fatique, they're 75 watt....plenty but still ok for a home studio. They sound pleasant and Adam (Germany) are well built and customer support/warrenty in Germany is usually stellar. There's 5 and 8 inch versions too.
  4. can't go wrong with Roland (or a Cakewalk which = Roland too) or Korg. then you get a solid, durable thing with weight keys.
  5. Roswell UK make one that might be interesting for you. It's a humbucker, with only 1 of the 2 coils magnetized....so it sounds like a single coil but it's humbucking. They are not really 'superhot/loud'...more of vintage type medium output level. Nickel silver backplate for an 'open' sound. Roswell LLS-N4
  6. still on Sonar X3 here (windows 7) so far did not get exited about updates enough to 'upgrade'. the aux tracks, I don't get why they would be great.....mix recall seems a nice feature. don't know if it's normal and how other DAW's are.....but export/printing with Sonar always adds latency. even with no plugins, 64 bit engine unchecked (so no oversampling-latency) the export/print always sounds like it has more latency. my roundtrip is 2.8 msec and it don't bounce to track anything, have radius mix set as offline reder.... anyone know if the export feature has had any updates since X3 ?
  7. Thanks Grem, checking it now
  8. Had one of his CD's in the 90's, even though not my cuppa T. But he's a legend, and with the ACDC guys the coolest rockstar I know. Watch all his interviews, what a great down to earth guy.
  9. also watched an update on Oceangate Titan, possibly crew knew serious probs for 20 min before implosion. maybe try the Homerbarber shop ?
  10. Bapu is a hoax and he nose it.
  11. The compressors I liked the most are the DRAWMER (UK) ones, loved their somewhat 'warm' box sound. Some models have quite a lot options, linked/dual mono, peak/RMS detection, hard/soft knee, limiter, autogain etc. Had the VCA and the (Multiband) FET compressors (don't remember if that had dual mono though). Good quality gear without busting the bank.
  12. I had one about 5 years ago and really liked it, but the connections are a bit unusual/could be problem. Had to get special cables, 'floating' ring (or floating pin3) in my setup. Depends if you connect to/from balanced or unbalanced gear iirc, but there's info on the internet. Got custom made XLR cables from Redco in USA and below cables. https://www.loopipedals.com.au/product/custom-trs-to-ts-cable-for-tc-flashback-ii-delay/
  13. has me new Goodyear 30s tyres (and paintit car with 2K spraycans)
  14. Thanks Craig, just plugged my Mogami guitar cable the right way (who needs AI ?) Now should get them Kemper ACDC tones from my Marhall.
