  1. I had a similar problem last year (when I tried to 'grace-period-update' C9 to C11) and the issue was that my copy of C9 had been updated to C10 *but* still remained in my account. SB told me that it should have been removed b/c it was used to upgrade to C10. And so I had to pay to upgrade to C11 (from C10). Could this be the cause of your problem?
  2. A potential workaround suggested on the Cubase Forum is to "...copy the Synthengine.vst3 to the Cubase 12 VST3 folder..." Apparently this works for Mystic, Prologue and Specter, but not for LoopMash. https://forums.steinberg.net/t/cant-find-prologue-mystic-spector-in-cubase-12/769948/5
  3. I watched a few of the 'Top N Reasons to Update Now' videos, but they largely replicated the information provided on Steinberg's website. The video below, in contrast, provides detailed information on many of the new and useful functions.
  4. Too bad they don't offer one that offloads the processing of all your plugins (not just Waves)!
  5. I honestly don't know, but I recall someone asking the same question this morning on the Cubase forum and I think the answer is 'no.' That is, you should be able to run both at the same time. I recall reading it here but really don't remember given that I've reached a state of information overload. https://forums.steinberg.net/t/cubase-12-out-now/769760/41
  6. Which one? Honestly I seldom use SB plugs anymore (in part b/c of my visits to this site).
  7. Not sure why they don't just use this (apparently it's unlimited):
  8. Hmm, I didn't realize that (I assumed they were made by Steinberg). I guess "technical reasons" is a euphemism for licensing issues.
  9. Okay. This may be the cause: https://forums.steinberg.net/t/cpr-sizes-go-crazy-500mb-for-simple-unmix-stems-project/160644/10
  10. A very useful new feature I just discovered is the ability to create custom scripts for all your MIDI controllers.
  11. But seriously, what is the problem? The grace period upgrade? Activation?
  12. IKM is in a class all by themselves. 😀
  13. Great video (and surprisingly useful piano). Had I not watched it I would likely not have even installed it because, like you, I thought who needs another felt piano?
  14. This one seems a bit odd. They removed these plugins from the factory content but they still work in version 12. So why did they remove them?
  15. I just skimmed the post you referenced. Is bouncing the ARA clip/track a viable option to reduce project size and decrease load time?
  16. Track-level ARA functionality and Audio Warp directly in the Track Editor are big improvements which finally allow us to easily align any type of event across tracks.
  17. It has not been announced yet...what I've posted is just a sneak preview.
  18. I don't think it has been officially released yet.
  19. New features: https://www.steinberg.net/cubase/new-features/
  20. as well as (much needed) Direct Offline Processing inprovements.
  21. and multi-track Audio Warp...finally.
  22. And it's blue... Video of new features: https://youtu.be/YQ1076DgzzU
  23. Lots of hoop-jumping, but definitely worth it. It's a very nice/useful/fun set of delays. I really like the duck function. The plugin is very well-designed, stable, and CPU-friendly. Far-and-away the best freebie in 2022 (thus far)! BTW, if you want to zoom the GUI, make sure to click on the lower-right corner and wait for the little white lines to become bold before dragging. At first I thought the zooming function was broken until I stumbled onto what I just wrote.
