  1. I often have to do this as well. The ins and outs get scrambled for some reason. The first thing I check when something MIDI isn’t working.
  2. Looking at replacing my Faderport Gen 1 (just the single channel, not 8 or 16). Lots of new features in the new version. How much works in Mackie control mode? I understand it’s not as full featured as with Studio One, but do you find your 8 version handles most of the features it offers? Thanks.
  3. ??? I just went there and got the Lindell 80 (Neve) Channel and Bus for $49, a super buy, down from $249. Never in email or purchase process did they ask for any kind of loyalty voucher. Offer showed up in my email box, I clicked on it, logged into my account. Got the deal. What are the vouchers all about?
  4. Using a VU meter from TBPro Audio. After a while it will get jittery as the song plays, as if dropping frames or struggling to keep up the read out of everything it's processing. Is this a function of a GPU that's not keeping up redrawing the visual? I'm on a decently powered machine i9/9900 3.4 GHz with 64 gigs of Ram. There are 15 tracks, but the plugin count is growing...
  5. 14 tracks. 6 with guitars each running an Amplitube 5 guitar sim. Not near maxing out. Task Manager: CPU 17%. Memory 29%. Just trying to follow best practices and efficiency I guess.
  6. Track is set to stereo. Not sure why, but this morning the freeze results in approx. a 2 dB decrease in level. Not that big of a deal; I can adjust for that pretty easily.
  7. @scook CbB Obi Wan... Can you suggest where I should look to figure out why, when I freeze a VSTi as you explained how to do and worked great (in this case Superior Drummer) it would jump about 5 dB in volume? As was asked here, I'm not bouncing a stereo track to mono as I know can cause an increased in volume. I'm simply freezing it, which as I understand it is simply a "bounce in place." Thanks.
  8. Is there a way to share a tempo map between two projects? Export from project A and Import into Project B?
  9. I simply froze the VSTi that was inserted on a stereo track. So no mono involved that I can see.
  10. So that's it. I froze SD3 (with 4 plugs) to reduce CPU load and its output jumped about 5 dB. Hmm. I unfroze, went back into SD3 and I toggled the "Follow Host" button off, thinking maybe it was still outputting audio, along with audio that resulted from freezing. No affect. I don't understand why... Any insight appreciated!
  11. New to Superior Drummer and have inserted as a simple instrument track. When I hit the freeze button nothing happens. Can you not freeze a simple instrument track? I’ve recorded SD’s output to a stereo track using an aux track but would like to be able to freeze.
  12. Great context. Thanks. I go back to Home Studio 4, so 10 years doesn’t seem like a long time! 😀
  13. Sorry I mentioned KK as an example, but I think the larger issue of DAW support among third-party developers holds. CbB doesn't seem to get the love a bunch of other DAWS apparently do. Just wondering why, that's all. I've heard the talk of "well, it's not really a professional DAW." That's really the only talk I've heard out in the web's DAW ecosystem. @Craig Anderton would love to hear your take on that.
  14. What spurred my question was wondering why is a DAW like Studio One, a relatively new kid on the block, seemingly more supported by third-party folks than CbB. Native Instruments is just one example, but there are others I’ve noticed. More users, and therefore a potentially more lucrative pool of buyers of those third-party apps? A behind-the-scenes biz deal with Presonus? Just curious...
  15. @Noel Borthwick is there a way to estimate how many users CbB has? The roots go back decades, and I’m wondering if we can show developers the size of the audience here they might include support for CbB in their various product integrations. Specifically, I’m thinking about native instruments and Komplete Kontrol’s deep integration into other DAW‘s but not CbB. With such a long history, we have to be one of the larger DAW user bases, right?
  16. Yes, I tried the VST3. I wonder if there’s a big performance difference in VST2 vs 3.
  17. The peel site suggests a workaround if the DAW needs it. I insert on a track and Peel doesn’t isolate anything like it’s supposed to. I contacted them (this was about a month ago) and they said it was a known issue in CbB and would be fixed in a future update. Can you get that far with it? Is it isolating parts of the audio for you? I contacted them again yesterday because I haven’t been notified of an update. EDIT: Just checked the site and saw an update was released this week. I’ll try. Hopefully will fix for me.
  18. Launch Cakewalk... Go to Help>>Refresh Activation. Pops up a screen to sign into Bandlab and it reactivates.
  19. Launched this morning like any other day. Got this. Have never seen this before. What's up?
  20. How do you connect Sibelius to CW? Thanks.
