  1. Yeah, I found it. Haven't tried it. So Cakewalk doesn't copy to Windows, but to some internal space?
  2. Um, speaking of 'old memory', I'm certain I saw, somewhere, an option in Windows to save multiple items in the clipboard. Let me look around. On W10 here.
  3. Is that Shure SM7B a USB mic and are you using that to record? I'm pretty sure that's what "enregistrement" means, right?
  4. Right, it doesn't look 'strange' to me, just maybe not what you expected. Some of the notes and/or clips are selected, some not, some are ghosted as if they are notes from another track (you can have multiple tracks' notes at once in the PRV).
  5. As you no doubt know, audio will not travel through MIDI cables. The MIDI data is played through a synthesizer, in this case Studio Instrument Electric Piano. But that soft synth needs to play through your sound card or audio interface. What is the output listed for the soft synth? It should be whatever device you want to use for sound. If it's set to S/PDIF and you don't have anything connected to the S/PDIF output, you won't hear anything.
  6. VST 3 is newer, an updated version and format. 2 will continue to work as designed for most of us. You don't "need" both of them, but if you have a lot of projects using 2 and you delete it from your computer, things will happen.
  7. Saw a recent doc from Chrissy Hynde about her and her guitarist recording an album of Dylan covers while in lockdown. Long distance, international using the internet and phones to deliver tracks. Called Tomorrow is a Long Time, came out in '21. Not technical, since they both said they've never done that kind of thing before. DAWs were a mystery.
  8. Got the headphones yesterday. Feel good, sound good, well-built. How expensive do headphones have to be to not have a 1/8" plug with a 1/4" adapter? Not mentioned in the literature, not shown in the photos, but there nonetheless. At least it's screw on instead of push on. The MIDI cables were sent before the HPs but haven't gotten here yet.
  9. I've had my Miata since 2005 and it's been my daily driver. Had the timing belt replaced twice (due again now) and the transmission rebuilt, locked up brake caliper replaced, but other than that, it's been incredibly reliable. Now over 250,000 miles. It had 53,000 when I bought it from my SIL, the original owner.
  10. Good game, the team I wanted to lose, lost. One thing I've noticed about hockey and soccer; they would be just as exciting without the ball/puck. A bunch of folks running around or skating for 2 hours. YMMV. 😁
  11. Since you're using the onboard sound card, try plugging something into the mic input of the computer. Often, nothing will show up unless something is connected.
  12. My microwave oven has been acting up. No longer spinning and seems to have a mind of its own as to whether it's going to get hot. So I brought my even older one out of storage and cleaned it up. It was ~ 6 months old and gently used before going into the shed, so it cleaned up well. Works like a charm. Most noticeable difference? The beeper stops beeping when you open the door.
  13. Welcome to the forum. Press P on the computer keyboard. What is listed and selected for Playback and Recording Timing Masters? What is your driver mode? You may have something selected that isn't compatible with Cakewalk.
  14. But seriously, Happy Birthday Bapu!! I hear 70 is the new 80.
  15. Oops. Didn't read it until Wednesday.
  16. Just ordered a set of Sennheiser HD 280 headphones and a pair of MIDI cords. The AKG K52's I bought just a few years ago are already shedding the cover from the earmuffs. Plus, I was never happy with the standard 3.5 mm connector with the 1/4" adapter. That is also getting a little loose. Bad on me for not checking before I bought them, but I expected a 'studio' headphone to not have to use an adapter in the studio. At GC, the Sennheisers were the least expensive headphones with a standard 1/4" plug. Got good reviews, though. A little like when I was searching for a MIDI keyboard a few years ago. None of the lower cost examples had MIDI jacks, just USB. I prefer the MIDI cables. I'm happy with what I got, but it was more than I wanted to pay at that time. Thank Goodness for credit! Oh, did you hear it is Bapu's birthday today? 🧁
  17. I resent that implication. I have graduated to old age, as have... others on this forum.
  18. Several times. I heard Hush the other day and reminded me of their lead singer before Gillan. Rod Evans?
