  1. If it's the CCC you need, yeah they should be able to set you up. I have read of some irregularities lately when trying to use CCC. Supposedly being looked into.
  2. The old Cakewalk site has been closed for almost six years. While the pages are still viewable, you can't comment, so no need to log in or edit email addresses. If you didn't create a new 'single sign-on' before it closed, you may be out of luck. What exactly is your reason for wanting to sign in? Just to change your email? Since you created an account here, I think you succeeded. 🙂
  3. On every one? They must have kept you busy, too.
  4. Did any of you catch the mass spamming last night? I haven't seen those here in many years. Somebody nuked them while you slept.
  5. Condenser microphones require Phantom Power, which I don't think the RealTek has got. From their web site: "1. Simple to use and set up The budget microphone is easy to use. The setting up of the microphone takes only a few minutes. It is highly recommended to use Phantom Power to run the BM800 condenser mic. You will therefore be able to capture audio without having to increase the input gain. This will reduce background noise and produce better audio." If your intent is to make music you will need better equipment. If you want to podcast you will at least need a different microphone or a source for Phantom Power, a preamp.
  6. Nice one. Like the Bapu, it is a little out of my range. I like the white "Emily White" model. And the natural model with the dog ear P-90s. I saw a pic of John Lennon playing that exact model on FB last week. Some are available with pick-ups that can be switched from single coil to double coil for more versatility. Probably a pipe dream anyway, but I am going to make a trip to GC next week to get a guitar string, so I'll check out what they have.
  7. You don't mention where the clips come from. If from copying then pasting, uncheck the 'link clips' box
  8. Congratulations! I've been retired since '19 and was loving it. Since last year I've been semi-retired due to the state of the economy. Just 2 days a week. Enjoy it while you can!
  9. Lately, I've had this insatiable desire. Along with a dream wherein the desire is fulfilled, with great satisfaction. It has been infiltrating every thought, every action reminds me of this yet-to-be-attained goal. I need a 335.
  10. No doubt in anticipation of the new Barbie movie.
  11. Gives you something to do while the batteries are charging.
  12. By inspiring me to spend all of my money on guitars and lessons so I can play as good as he does. Didn't work. 😁
  13. I quit (again) 2 years ago. What helped the most was penury (thanks Joe B.!). I don't recommend that except as a last resort.
  14. I wouldn't buy a gaming sound card for audio production. I probably wouldn't buy a Sound Blaster, although my SB Extigy worked well... in 2004.
  15. Who invented rock and roll? While scholars can trace its roots back to traditional gospel and blues, many people believe Chuck Berry invented rock and roll. Or was it Marty McFly?
  16. The next 'palindromic' year will be 2112. Coincidentally, that is the Year of the Drummer on the Chinese calendar.
  17. I am on my phone, but when using the Insert menu, you have the option for 'all synths outputs' or something like that. That will give you an audio track for each piece, but you will still have the MIDI in 1 track. I am not sure how to do that for existing synths without deleting the synth and re-inserting it, but it's probably possible. Again, that's using Insert from the top.
  18. I don't know why you're getting poor performance after the latest Windows update, but I suggest you dispense with the VST instruments in a live setting. I think that's just asking for trouble. I would bounce every synth track to audio and archive/hide the MIDI and synth tracks. Moreover, I would bounce all of those tracks to a single stereo track and then archive and hide those tracks. It wouldn't take but a second to load a song then. With over 250 files, that would take a long time to do, I know, but could be done. Hopefully someone can help you with the update slowdown.
