This was a good find. I was thinking about picking up a compressor to use for parallel compression - the mix knob is actually a rarity in compressors and this one has it.

I just wanted to say that AD came through for me with a refund on the Breaktweaker and I ordered the suite from them. Thanks for the clue about email vs the web site!

Beyond the standard contact form? I bought Breaktweaker last week and installed last night for $19. Today I could get the creative suite crossgrade that includes it for $89. I would like to see if they'll help me out and I submitted a contact form request. However, I purchased a Studio One upgrade from them a few days before the price dropped and they ignored my contact at that time, so I don't have much hope. I think I'll only buy from Koby or Eric going forward...

I went to a Mix with the Masters with Alan Parsons last month and was surprised that he uses sleigh bells on a number of tracks - it's sort of a signature thing! They way he records them they don't sound like Christmas though...

I have Corel Suite and the damn thing spams me constantly on my desktop. This is a known issue and the workarounds to disable it don't stick. It's because of this that I would not recommend it to anyone...

I just wrapped up my black Friday shopping. Found someone on KVR to sell me the Eventide H910, I picked up Mallet Flux instead of Sonnicouture Marimba, and I snagged a Zulu off of reverb. Even picked up Modern Snare Selects for BFD since Eric had some holdovers he was letting go at an extra discount. Oh, and Portal thanks to the heads-up here on the killer deal online. :) Now back to the garage to staple fabric to the bass traps I'm building...

Signal is one of my absolute favorite VSTs. Is there a sale price on completing the bundle through their site? I can't tell if the price they are giving me is a holiday promo price or the regular price...

I gotta say Mallet Flux is tempting. I thought about that over the sonnicouture Grand Marimba. But I watched the Danny Elfman Masterclass and he has piqued my interest in the Marimba. I'm guessing it might go for about $85 and I could upgrade to Komplete Ultimate 12 for $199. However, there are almost no sound samples of the Percussion Marimba instrument. I'm afraid I'd pay double to upgrade Komplete to have an inferior Marimba and a bunch of shtuff I wouldn't use... Now if Mallet Flux was in Komplete Ultimate...

I've been away from the forums for some time; it's been rather fun to be back watching this and see Larry still kicking @%% for everyone! (Edit: Wow this is my first post on the new forums...) It's been a spendy year in the studio - mostly around some big hardware upgrades and a trip to CA to spend two days with Alan Parsons. I am looking for Sonnicouture' Grand Marimba and Eventide's H910 on sale. I did just pick up an upgrade to Studio One that I hadn't planned on, but overall I'm pretty solid in the software department.
