  1. They're actually cheaper than other resellers on the EU side, too (thomann.de). Only €48.
  2. They replied: Well that sucks.
  3. I guess. I think only Falcon expansions might be worth looking at. Most other products have seen better offers earlier this year.
  4. Also available at Best Service for €54, but I'll wait and see how other resellers price these before biting. Bought Vol 3 and two MIDI packs for a total of €57 last year from Time+Space. Vol 3 alone was only €43 (inc. VAT). Those were the days.
  5. I'm still waiting for them to get back to me about an upgrade price from the Omega Synth to the full bundle. I'll decide if I buy any of their plugins after that.
  6. Hey, @Jason Morin there have been some rule changes since your last post. Please see this post: In short, you need to remove the links before someone complains about them. I can post them here. Product page: https://www.amplesound.net/en/pro-pd.asp?id=42 Purchase page: https://www.amplesound.net/en/purchase.asp
  7. Much better, though I'm still not wowed. At this point I'd much rather hear just some kind of vocal runs or something.
  8. Which ones do you recommend I should take out for a spin?
  9. I paid €49 for it two years ago. I remember it well. It was on sale at JRR for about the same price minus one of the codes, so closer to $45 I think. I wasn't sure if I wanted it, so I waited until the final day of the sale before pulling the trigger, but to my surprise JRR was showing full price. They had ended the sale too soon! I shot them an email, waited until the last minute and since I didn't hear anything from them I bought the library from BestService for €49. The next day JRR replied to me, saying that "it's on sale now" or something to that effect. Great. Thank you. Well done. Easily the worst day of my life.
  10. Tina Guo Complete Bundle for $149 sounds somewhat reasonable.
  11. I didn't know what a Wurli was before I joined this forum and now I want one. Thanks a lot. I picked number 1 for the bite but on lower volume I preferred number 3. Number 2 sounded broken. Good idea! So many channel strips have been released lately that we should start a club for those too. I'm just not sure what to call it...
  12. Am I stupid or is the Dark Farm expansion the only one with a list of the actual instruments included? Every other page just says something generic like "it has some toms". Do the expansions come with a manual? Edit: In case anyone else is interested the included instruments can be found here: https://www.fxpansion.com/support/faq/ Edit 2: But not for every expansion, it seems.
  13. To be honest, sounds a bit like the audition stage for a talent competion. Can we give Synth V voices singing lessons? Agreed. But I think the isolated vocal track sounded best when there were multiple voices, so if I buy this I'm pretty sure it will stay in the background and do a great job there. But we'll see. Yeah, some of the YouTube stuff is a bit... rough. My hope is that Solaria didn't end up sounding so good by sheer luck and instead Eclipsed Sounds know what they are doing and chose Eric Hollaway for reasons other than availability and convenience. A quick search for bass singers on YouTube brings up some really good sounding alternatives.
  14. Well, that's all the sales pitch I need. Has anyone tried the jazz kits? Or found the Jazz & Funk expansion on any of the reseller sites?
  15. I didn't have the letter at hand when I wrote my previous message, but now that I look at it it's actually the customer number ("Kundennummer", right above the salutation) and not a subscription number that I used at Plugins-Samples. Try that one if your letter has it.
  16. The voice doesn't fit the music at all, but what do you mean with the autotuning? In the demo song it sounded like the voice was sometimes auto of tune, but I'm pretty sure that was just... let's say a choice the composer made. The demo songs are poorly chosen and do nothing to showcase the voice, which is a pity. But from what I can hear I like the tone of the voice and and I think it will work well as a backing singer to add some color to the vocals, especially on ballads or some mellower songs. I have no plans to use it as a lead singer anyway. Solaria alone costs $89, so if I bought them both I would pay just $38.50 for Asterian. I think it's a good price and an acceptable risk to take for a potentially useful voice.
  17. Hmm... I wonder if there has been some kind of glitch with my subscription? I seem to attract those. My order confirmation says "1x Beat - E-Paper Abonnement", but they actually sent me a paper letter (with my name misspelled...) to confirm the subscription and on Falkemedia's website the delivery method is "Deutsche Post". I never received any account info to access my digital subscriptions and my email/password for falkemedia-shop.de doesn't work at falkemedia-abo.de. I haven't received the physical magazines but I do get emails from Marco when a new issue is out, and on those emails there is a link that takes me to Plugins-Samples. The letter they sent me had my subscription number and I used that to access all the content on Plugins-Samples. In your shoes I'd contact Falke Media or Marco and ask for the subscription number or if they can allow you to access Plugins-Samples. The last time I subscribed to the digital version of Beat it included access to Plugins-Samples, but I can't remember if I had to jump through any hoops for it.
  18. https://www.kuassa.com/products/efektor-whammo-pitch-shifter/ $21 at JRR with the code GROUP: https://www.jrrshop.com/kaussa-efektor-whammo Whammy pedals. ❤️
  19. Actually, I did this and I can download the PDF version of both German and English version of the magazine via Plugins-Samples.
  20. Thanks for the info! $127.50 for two voice banks sounds reasonable, though I think I would prefer if they were both female voices. On the other hand, extra low male voice might be useful, too. I'll have to sleep on it.
  21. https://www.bleass.com/shop/ Offers available until 5th of December. Omega Bundle €29.97 Alpha Bundle €29.97 Classic FXs Bundle €40.30 Innovation Bundle €40.30 Phase Mutant €19.36 I bought the Omega Synth not too long ago and paid almost as much as the full bundle. I'm going to ask them if they can offer some kind of upgrade price.
  22. Thanks for the tip. I didn't know you could do that. However, I just tried that with Cinematrix and I was a bit disappointed. Original sample folder size is 2.98 GB and after compression it's 2.21 GB, or 74% of the original size. I tried converting the samples with Flac (level 5) and got them down to 1.46 GB, or 49% of the original, which is what I was expecting from Kontakt's compression. I had similar results with other libraries I tested. Still, I suppose 25% less is better than nothing and even small amounts add up with time.
  23. Oh, right. Those guys. I bought the whole Intimate threesome just a few of days ago, but I already forgot about it (it's been a busy week.). At about $35 for each it was a no-brainer. I have thrown a lot of money into the pit that is 8dio, so no referral discounts for me, unfortunately. But thank you for reminding me that I actually do have something of a chamber orchestra. For the time being, I think I'll keep Hyperion on the "maybe" section of my Black Friday list. The YouTube walkthroughs sound better (edit: much better) than SoundCloud demos, so maybe there's something in there for me. I know @Fleer likes them.
