Same thing with Reason RE's. Seemed like a good business idea for developers but it didn't really pan out. VST format is just too prevalent.

I don't look at any of the things you mention, except for music. Everything has become a parody of itself and culture is at a dead end IMO. To be very clear with yourself about what information you let in and what you exclude is a fundamental skill nowadays.

REAPER’s defaults ARE insane and I strongly dislike their lack of interest for UI. I dislike the smug attitude with which they dismiss the need for it even more, and their need to push their political views in version names even more than that. That being said, there IS a “light at the end of the tunnel” when you spend the time customizing it to your needs, even if it feels like there’s no end for it. Its performance, stability and flexibility is truly unmatched by anything else, and I really need that extra juice with my old laptop.

Yeah, it's convenient to have all the FX in one plugin but you could easily replicate it with free plugins. In Wavefrom and Reason 12 you could even build a custom interface to have them all in one window.

I’ll pay $10 for it. Take it or leave it.

Blacksun is free, in case you haven't grabbed it. AHM, and Sigma are nice. I have those. Sold Reamp because it wasn't on the same level as the others. Bulldog aparently is their best to date. REVXX and Hellbeast get a lot of praise.

ReAmp is nice but it's not at the same level as the individual models by a mile IMHO.

I strongly recommend this one. I did VERY EXTENSIVE testings of all bass amp sims and this is the most realistic of all. I used to own a 1x15 Eden cabinet and the similarity is remarkable.
