  1. Yeah, I have done before, as far as I am concerned there is just no comparison for what I am looking for anyway, but depending on style and the outcome you are looking for it may be fine, but for big, alive sounding driven guitars for me there is no substitute. But again, only my opinion, ymmv, and that's fine, some like chocolate some like vanilla and others strawberry.
  2. There is only 1 way to double track guitars (left and right) and that is to 'double track' the guitars, 2 seperate recordings, it will sound so much thicker, bigger and alive, and well just plain better. All the slight differences in timing pick attack, pressure etc etc just makes it come alive when each is panned away. Trying to do it any other way with 1 recording doesn't even come close, sounds dead (in comparison). This of course is just my opinion, and for my style, driven hard heavy rock, but I would never do it any other way than actually double tracking the guitars. ymmv of course
  3. I reported, sent in a support request about that years ago, the basic gist of the reply was that they are aware of it, just don't use the presets and create your own and it will be fine, which is true, but you know . . . So like I said, that was years ago, they were aware of it, but it will never get fixed, but it's no biggie in the end I guess. There is a similar issue in I think the Slash bundle (I think), first noticed it after it was upgraded.
  4. PM me, I might be able to work something out with you, it would include TH2/TH3and TH-U (all full versions, also 4 Rig Player packs for TH-U) I believe because they were all upgrades after TH2 initial purchase, they must stay chained at the hip (and that doesn't mean it will cost 3 X $). PM me if interested.
  5. Gave it another whirl, doing what you suggest (which I had done previously), nothing, nada, zip , works fine here.
  6. Larry, maybe you should remove that link ? Following the link gets you a file with cclarry in the name.
  7. Don't know about SONAR issue, I stopped using Platinum before Tape was released, I've never had an issue in Studio One with Tape, either as a normal Plugin or as a Mix Engine FX (Tape Multitrack)
  8. Groove 3 - send Izotope support a request
  9. Yeah a lot of people complain about it. I just press skip or whatever it is and carry on and ignore it like the other things that I dislike about PG products, for me they are more than worth the annoyances I have with PG products, so I just deal with it, no real deal breakers. But I would be super happy if they added/fixed a lot of the things that people complain about, don't think it will happen though, as a lot of these 'issues' have been in all their products since the beginning. They are more like poor design choices than bugs or anything like that, annoying all the same, but still, the BIAS Family is still pretty much all I use, everything else just gathers dust.
  10. Yeah their sales can be pretty much non sales, and also a lot of different options to confuse.
  11. Works fine for me, although I don't use CbB. As you might expect, Mono track - Mono output, Stereo Track - Stereo output
  12. Maybe a stupid question, but are you using a stereo track?
  13. Works well as a Mix Engine FX (Tape Multitrack), only have to do a little dance to be able to use it and CTC-1 Pro or the original Console Shaper together as each Mix Engine Fx has only 1 slot,no biggie though.
  14. Yes, but they sort of are in the end, because all amps and pedals from Amp and Pedal show up in FX, just the tweakability is left behind, but once you make your tweaks and save amp or pedal they are available in FX, but yes, it would have been nice.
  15. No such issues with BIAS Fx 1 or 2 or BIAS Amp 1 or 2 here, but then I don't use CbB. They all work perfectly here. Apart from various omissions that PG in there wisdom decided to 'omit' (mainly quality of life stuff, but I can over look that most of the time) and a few other issues that don't really effect usage, for me they are the ones I use almost (99.9% of the time) exclusively, and I own (have owned, just gave away all my PA amp sims and PA Guitar related stuff) pretty much everything out there, Helix Native aside, but I hope to get that soon (on sale) to see how it fairs, demos aren't long enough for me, and I like to be able to easily revisit if desired.
  16. Yes, Demo - Auth will work
  17. Finally got a chance to give them a little run through, and I agree, certainly nothing to sneeze at.
  18. and perhaps throwing in a quick reference to 'THAT' folder might help? 😯
  19. Well the PA Guitar stuff I have, is as follows ALL GONE tell me what you want and you can have them, just pay the transfer fee. I never kept up with the recent changes at PA, so not sure what the deal is there.
  20. But . . but . . . that is hardly in keeping with the spirit. You could purchase the upgrade AND stick with O8A, now that would be in keeping with the spirit.
  21. Come to papa I think I might pay a little extra and get it from the horses mouth to avoid as best as possible any potential hiccups.
  22. I used, or tried Clonezilla long ago, it may well be better now days, but back then it was failure after failure, grabbed Acronis TI and never looked back. Clonezilla may be free, but just like Linux, it's only free if your time is worth nothing to you 😉. Just my opinion and experience of course, YMMV
