    Here's what's new

    What’s New

Pianoverse, with its 9 pianos and 33 cinematic spaces

The full version of TONEX + 9 Signature Collections

AmpliTube Morley Collection with 3 classic stompbox FX

T-RackS 6’s streamlined workflow and 10 new processors

ARC 4, boosting faster calibration and stunningly natural results

I doubt I'll ever get around to downloading the space hogging pianos.  The requires purchasing more space.

It was still the same! TC8210 was $21.00 if I looked at their page in USD without login. After login and going on to payment it increased to more than $32 !!!

But the price-tax thing has never been transparent at Plugin Boutique. Though I have never had a case like this with such an excessive price increase. Also, there is no explanation of the price change, only a hint that it has changed. IMHO this isn't acceptable at all! But EU opens a lot of doors for such cheats with their internet tax rules introduced some years ago!

I would avoid PB then.  No shortage of vendors offering the same deals.

Then there is a reality for me that never sets in.  If a have to go through a bunch of hoops I probably don't need it but I somehow buy it because it was a challenge.

I wanted to purchase a deal of TC Electronic at Plugin Boutique, but when I logged in the price in the cart raised by more than 50% !!!!

Even if we have very high VAT taxes in Sweden, this exceeds the tax by far! Are they crazy or is this the usual hidden EU customs duty???

So does it change when you go further?   Often it is estimated until final checkout.

Firstly; Help us Obiwan @Larry Shelby!

    Toontrack Weekend Deals

About 10% off at Bestservice when you add in the BestCoin.
EZX Action! $35.07 ($1.17 Best Coin) Action Drum Midi $8.09 (.27 BestCoin) EZKeys Fantasy Movie Score Midi $8.09 (.27 BestCoin)
Searching Best can sometimes be tedious, this is all I had the patience for. And remember, the BestCoin shows up in your account for use on the next purchase.

Now I don't find any of TT's "Deals" all that Life Changing, but I never pass on the $9.00 midi. I'm committed to the eco system; What can I say?

    That is all...

    t

Especially if they are direct from ToonTrack.

These are decent deals but not that interesting.

Some mixed reviews over at VI.  I thought some of the Kirk Hunter stuff was OK.

Some of the points relate more to installation and use, rather than sound at least though.

I haven't read through it all yet

There is always some anti Kirk bias.

If you are into collecting orchestras it's probably worth the price.  I bought it when it was only available for Gigastudio.  Full orchestra libraries have matured since then.  The strongest part I guess is the solo strings.

With the race down to zero in libraries that price is a hard sell.

    I never had installation issues.

    Yes.

Always better to go with the iLok.  A lesson learned after replace a drive and contacting many developers to have authorizations reset.

Thanks for pointing that out. I broke down and bought an iLok dongle last year. All I have on it are UAD plugins. I can ditch the dongle and free up a slot on a switched usb hub,

But does it still require iLok software?

Undoubtedly, they are good plugins. It's just that I have all that they cover, already covered many times over! 🙄

Same here.  I'm starting to remove stuff based on strange eco systems.

I could see UAD Connect if you have their interfaces.

But there is no shortage of reinventing the wheel and those wise enough to rely in a DAWs included plugins.

  10. Most large external drives are 5400 rpm.

Not sure what is backed up to take that much time.  I would imagine it would if it were all of my drives with sample libraries.  I never back those up on a schedule. The only time they are backed up is after buying them so I don't have to download them again.   I've got a large collection of HDDs since upgrading to SSDs.

I'm not a fan of these apps that after downloading the installation files are deleted.  Some don't give you that option.  I get it if you have a laptop .  EW,NI, Steindberg are the offenders.   IK - I can download their zip files.  I can hold on to my VSL files.  I can keep al of my Live Suite files.   I'm getting turned off more by software the way  software is distributed these days.
