  1. First thing, most of these products aren't that old, and most have been updated in the past year or so, so that doesn't really make them abandonware. Second, the Mod Pack is pretty darn good. Super 8 is also pretty good for what it is. I'm not into Juno type synths, but if I were it might get some use. Form is fun if you don't have Iris. TRK-01? OK, I can't defend that one. I'm not the target market and I haven't heard any of the people who it should appeal to singing its praises.
  2. Also, Larry, for obvious reasons it's Komplete Classics Collections.
  3. Absynth may be old, but it still can create some pretty trippy sounds. I wonder how good the upgrade path will be from this to the standard Komplete package.
  4. Maybe with the Apple update out of the wat they can get to fixing preset management.
  5. Added Apple Silicon Support VST3 Some small fixes. As always run Native Access to update
  6. Free until they get a C & D letter from NI.
  7. This is a great and unique sounding delay but it does not have tempo sync. If that is important to you I'd hold out for when Echoes goes on sale.
  8. Cuba fixes an inability to drag and drop MIDI patterns. KK fixes a bug related to changed parameter mappings causing crashes with hosted VST3 plugins.
  9. I'd like to be able to drag and drop the FX from an FX Chain directly into the bin without having to deal with the shell.
  10. It's overpriced at the list price, but worth it at sale price. The additive resynthesis was very good for its time. It doesn't come with that many presets, but then you can import any sound and make a preset out of it.
  11. I think you are looking for the SampleTekk thread, although I prefer the Soniccouture Tape Choir myself.
  12. Does anyone have any idea what is in these updates? No information in the manager, and I didn't see anything on their website or forums.
  13. I don't have a nylon, but my DAW is right next to the closet with our furnace and AC. Even if I had a nylon string guitar, recording anything with a mic is not an option for me. I do have a steel string acoustic but I'm not crazy about the sound of my pickup going into my DAW. The NI strummed series sounds better than anything I can record with what I have.
  14. I always thought he was just having fun at Ringo's expense, similar to the story about the lyrics to "With A Little Help From My Friends" being a jibe at his singing. Turns out that this was a joke from a comedian that got picked up by The London Times and got misattributed.
  15. Even though he may not have been the best drummer in The Beatles*, he was the best drummer for them.
  16. As far as I am concerned, you won the day with this post.
  17. Thanks, that's good to know. Clicking on most of the other labels shows the value of the associated control (or does nothing), so I hadn't expected that to do anything else.
  18. I finally got it. It's not majorly awesome but it is pretty good at what it does. However, I do have a few issues with it. 1. There doesn't seem to be a glide in mono mode 2. I can't find how to engage the sub or noise oscillators. 3. It looks like they mislabeled the FM control on oscillator B It's a basic 2 osc synth with 5 or so wave shapes and FM. ASDR envelopes, multimode filters. Basic but sounds quite good for what it is.
  19. Apparently everyone wants this, page not loading for me.
  20. They are not bad, at least for the ones that were included with Studio One. I wouldn't buy them if I already had Amplitube though.
  21. The new amps are actually pretty decent. However there are only 3 of them. One is a Friedman, one is a 57 Fender-ish, the other is a super clean solid state bass amp. They also redid the available impulses, which make some of the old amps sound better. They did not update any of the old distortion pedals beyond cosmetics. As far as effects go, they added in nearly all of their studio effects. You get the mod pack, the crush pack, a version of Replika, the softube reverbs and compressors, the solid series, Driver, SuperCharger, Raum, Replika Shimmer, and a new Doppel Filter. They claim that their new machine learning based amp technology will allow them to deliver new components at a rapid pace. However, we haven't seen any new amps or distortion pedal components since release. If you were one of the people who said "I use Amplitube for guitars, Guitar Rig for FX", Guitar Rig 6 might move the needle but it won't replace Amplitube.
  22. The pattern generation is great, acoustic sounds are ok, electric not so much. Even stripping away the effects and putting into a dedicated amp sim, the sounds are not there. I often use both this and NI's guitar libraries to sketch out patterns for a song. With NI I am likely to leave the track as stands. With Strum-GS2 I will almost always re-record the track.
  23. Stability fixes, fixes to HI DPI displays. Run Native Access to update.
