  1. So i got to think...if it begins to install...it probably would have downloaded what's needed for installation. I found the Bandlab update installer. It is in: C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\bandlab-assistant-updater\pending\Bandlab Assistant Setup 6.1.0.exe Run it as admin. It should be 56 mb.
  2. Two unusual things the same day... A swedish gameshow about music had two of the contestants perform a version of Coldplays - Fix You, translated to swedish and made into a duet. I liked it. I usually don't like covers. I love this song. It moves me and makes me shed a tear or two. English isn't my native language and i only focus on the sound of a song. But somehow the lyrics of this song must have got to me. Usually i don't listen to lyrics.
  3. I just watched Brian Johnson interview Mark Knopfler in 2015. Got me watching some other music videos. Mark Knopfler is magical.
  4. Pretty much sums up my feelings about it. Whenever i hear a rap "song" i get this thought of -how lazy can a musician get? ?
  5. So the country doesn't matter then?. It's the chicks that matter.
  6. Tonight i felt for some country.
  7. I like to have something nice to look at when listening to classical music. ?
  8. And now......something completely different. ?
  9. Hmm,,,i checked out Ugritone midi drums. You ought to know that names like metal drums or punk drums isn't necessary descriptive of what you're gonna hear. Midi is only information for a instrument that converts that info to sound. If the instrument sounds like a steel drum a midi file is not going to change that. They work in Cakewalk and all other daws. You need an vst instrument plugin with drums as already said. MT powerdrumkit is ok and free. You'll have to tweak the settings of the drums if you need a specific sound.
  10. The house owner is putting in new windows right now. Maybe after that. I'll think about it.
  11. @Robert McClellan Thanks. I like din-midi. Let me paint my picture. I have 4 pc's. 2 win xp 32-bit and 2 win 7 64-bit. They are old but works ok. Each have a usb midi-interface with 2in and 2 out. Cost approx 4x30 euro=120 euro. I have 2 midi keyboards with din-midi and a midi-box, approx 40 euro, that can split two midi in to four midi out. With this setup i can use any of the keyboards with any of the pc's without switching cables around. Pretty low cost too.?
  12. This is not too bad either. David Gilmour - Shine On You Crazy Diamond feat. Crosby & Nash

  14. ZynAddSubFX VST is a free synth with good sounds. It's a refreshed version of an old synth. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=268277
  15. I checked out your recommended midi keyboard. I'm pondering about a new one. My old Korg 707 miss notes sometimes. Probably corrosion on the metallic parts of the keys. It would be great to be able to see what midi it have direct on the first view, without to move on to Amazon, Thomann or Gear4Music for the details. Todays kb's seem to be 90% usb midi, 8% usb plus din-midi and 2% din-midi. Why is that a need to know? Well, usb midi locks you to one particular pc. Din-midi gives you more connection possibilities where one kb can serve several pc's. (Usb is hard to split to several pc's).
  16. My guess is that your site doesn't allow direct links. The link given is to the zipfile. Try changing to the page with the zipfile instead.
  17. My The Guess Who favorite is Clap For The Wolfman.
  18. I listened to the examples and got the impression that it's about voices singing words. Then you are limited to those words and the song will get influenced by them. If i would try to make a song that bring about a certain feeling i couldn't unless it fits with the words in the voiceloop. Of course it could be useful to more modern styles of music than i do.
  19. I don't get this? I export a midifile type 1 from Chordpulse. Then i drag&drop a TTS-1 or S-yxg50 (gm synths) first and the midifile second. I only get 6 (iirc) named tracks, all with notes in them. The drum track is named drums and have got all percussion on it. Maybe your problem lies elsewhere? I use the default settings in Chordpulse. Have you changed any settings besides the export question about midi type?
  20. Above the arranger track you have the time to the left and you have the "workspace" to the right. In MT website screenshot you can read "custom" instead. If you make the change of "workspace" menu to "all" you're gonna see it change to "custom" and your fx would show up.
  21. I'm not sure but have read up on some basics earlier in life. I think it needs, >= ,Greater-Than or Equal To. Iow, add the equal sign to your greater than sign.

  24. Maybe it's my grammar that makes it hard to understand. It's an IF statement and i thought it was obvious what the ELSE statement would be. "Would be set" means that i assumed most people have set the midi output and thus don't have TTS-1 popup automatically.
  25. Sorry, my fault. I assumed that most people followed recommendations and selected the output (and input) devices as recommended by the daw the first time you start it. You and Scook obviously don't do it. Wonder how many users don't set up their audio AND midi devices from start of the daw? Why would someone wait to set midi output when you already is there and setup the input? I and everyone that have midi hardware surely set the output right away.
