  1. I could get this for nothing using old APD points and it still doesn't tempt me. Mostly because of the the way the browser just has Rhythm 1, Rhythm 2 and so on with no clue as to how they might sound. I don't want to be loading each one every time just to see what they are.
  2. AKA UJAM pre-announces 2022 50% off sale.
  3. Nothing about the demo made me want it TBH so I'm honestly not bothered what the price is, just that they seem to be heading down a route that gives better deals to people who haven't supported them than those that do which is a bit of a turn off for me.
  4. I wouldn't worry about it.....let the early adopters deal with all the things that MS didn't think about before they released it and by the time they've fixed all the problems they just introduced you'll probably have stopped caring anyway. My DAW pc is Win7 and it still works ok.
  5. Make room silly....just get rid of that old wotchacallit one that nobody has ever heard of anyway. The Geriatric , wait... that's not right...... Hmmm...did it begin with A ? Allergic? No.... Anarchic. No that doesn't sound right either.... I think it might be Alum....something or other? Aplumdick...? Whatever. You know the one I mean... Many people don't even have one of those anyway .....gotta be a good reason for that.
  6. On the plus side, at least the message has a dark background...
  7. Yep. you just have to remember not open it mid writing flow because once open much time may pass.
  8. TLDR version... * Is Useless. 😀
  9. This. Classic example was when many customers said the contrast wasn't great on ST4 UI. Their answer was that it's not the UI, it's your screen (that somehow seems to be just fine with all other UI's)
  10. Sadly, I'm starting to feel the opposite Grem. I've long been a fan and I have bought every version of every synth (except CV-1) and my "complete your collection" deal is $34 for CV-1, so as a more loyal customer I get less of a deal than those who skipped on the upgrades. It is a very good deal, maybe even an exceptional one, for those people, but seems like something of a kick in the teeth to those who have paid for those upgrades each time. IIRC they also gave away all the v3 upgrades to those who didn't have them with purchase of CV-1 when that was launched. The moral of their story these days seems to be don't pay for the upgrades, so I'll probably take that on board in future.
  11. No, no......not at all........ Well, ok, a little...but you made me a pie, so as long as there's some cream to go with it.... At least it wasn't a butcher's apron.
  12. As a small child, I thought that dogs were male and cats were female..... Make of that what you will.
  13. Typical. I should have known that Bapu would have almost every gum plug-in.
  14. Are currently in a glass of fizzy water? Usually spend the night in a different room to me ? Used to belong to someone else? Had a fresh coat of brilliant white paint yesterday ? All of the above ? Enquiring minds need to know.......
  15. Can't say as I have no idea what you look like.😀
  16. You have to use Protools to be a Professional. I thought everyone knew that.
  17. In my case it was when I received as a gift "a day in a recording studio" - replace studio with very insulated shed in the guy's mother's garden and you'll pretty much have the full picture. I'd previously had a very brief and unsuccessful foray into PC based recording with a junior version of cubase that crashed every time I touched anything at all on my keyboard. No doubt it was something I was doing wrong, but steinberg support was worse than useless, so I gave up with it and went back to previous ways. Watching this "studio" guy work with his Sonar software (v2 IIRC) and his collection of "plug-ins" that would give Bapu a run for his money (and that I'd never even heard of before then) everything just seemed so easy, so I ditched my plans to buy a range topping Roland workstation keyboard type thing and went the Sonar route instead (the then current v5 came bundled with a suitable interface) and I never looked back. I clearly had a lot to learn, but not crashing every time I touched anything was a much better starting point. Can't remember how/why I discovered the forum, but it soon became clear to me that it was probably the best asset a user had. I was mostly annoyed with myself with what happened after I had laid out for the lifetime updates because of going against what gut feeling told me and ignoring the oft proven wisdom of when it seems to good to be true......... but then it turned out ok after all. I don't really consider it to be free updates, more a case of getting what I paid for, but from someone else, but I'm grateful that Bandlab picked up the pieces and happy for the continuity of having some of the same team behind the scenes to preserve what was so special about it. I never felt the need to immediately seek alternatives when gibson pulled the plug because it still worked the same as it did before and I was quite happy with that. I do have S1 Pro ,but I just don't like looking at it.
  18. I've occasionally wondered if animals have regional accents. Many years ago the owner of a dog rescue centre in Zakinthos told me that most of the dogs there ended up being rehomed in Scandinavian countries and it gave me visions of a Greek dog trying to understand what it's Swedish counterpart was trying to convey.... Sometimes I have too much time to think........
  19. Back in the day I put a memo offering Special High Intensity Training from senior management on the main noticeboard for anyone who felt they hadn't already had enough. Several people actually signed up for it.......😀
  20. CbBbCMG. Not exactly catchy, is it? Might be some overtime opportunities coming up in the marketing dept.....
  21. I'm kind of used to it now as there seems to be quite a strong whiff of sheep in most places these days. I've noticed that many people have taken to wearing cloth masks to try and avoid smelling it, but haven't yet figured out why the smell of sheep seems to follow them everywhere.
  22. I see....... you do know that Bapu is a fully paid up Studio One groupie these days, right.......? 😀
