AAS Multiphonics CV-1 Superbooth Modular Sale (Exclusive)
paulo replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Not long ago it was $34 on AAS site and they were also throwing in latest versions of all their other synths with that. Unless of course you'd already bought them when they came out in which case you got........oh yeah, that's right.....a worse deal than somebody who'd never bought anything from them. (Haven't quite let that one go yet...lol.) That aside, I would recommend trying the demo before buying. It's not all that really and there was nothing there that made me feel the need to get it. YMMV of course, but it's only been out a year and this is not the first time that it's been heavily discounted, so I'm guessing it hasn't exactly been setting any sales records. -
Yep. I often use it as a quick and dirty placeholder until I get more into the full development of the sound rather than spend too long messing about with the details when in composing mode. The pad layers in particular can be quite useful.

Crossgrade for NI vouchers ?
-
Why are they so expensive there ? Not even close to that over here - under £3k or approx $3500 and that includes 20% VAT. Actually getting hold of one is a different matter though, as with just about any keyboard it seems. Most are order now and we'll tell you at some unspecified time in the future when you might get it.

Over now to our Thread Analysis Correspondent for the latest summary......... " Well, in many ways it's a case of business as usual......some people are confused and annoyed by IK, but this is obviously not IK's fault at all because they never ever go about things in a convoluted manner or communicate poorly, so it's clearly the customer's fault for failing to understand their very clear and very non convoluted business practices and communications..... back to you in the studio."

Roland RD2000 ?

Looks and sounds fab, but I reckon my old pc would probably melt just thinking about it, so the good news is that the price is irrelevant for me.
-
I'm way ahead of you there....all the valuables I have are hidden in one of those real-looking fake books that has no actual pages inside. On reflection, the title "Bapu - A collection of his funniest moments" is probably a bit of a giveaway though, so until I can get a more convincing one I've hidden it behind this one....

Believe it or not, somewhere in the depths of the loft I've actually got an accordion. I bought it for 50p at some jumble sale way back when for no other reason than thinking that it had to be worth more than that. I'd forgotten all about it TBH. Might have to brave the cobwebs sometime soon and see if it's time for a cash in the attic moment......

Dogs can play the saxamaphone ? Have you told this to Kenny? Milo could probably make him enough money to buy a snow shovel...
-
Yeah, but I've never been one to blow my own horn.....
-
Yep. Been there, downloaded that, tried to install it, failed and forgot about it again weeks ago...
-
This one time...at bandcamp ?
-
Typical. It's probably just as well that you asked him and not me then.......... Because I can't play the saxamaphone.?

I got the individual installers from PA website yesterday and they all work fine. There is no need to install the IM. ?
-
This thing seems to have the same attitude towards the allocation of available resources as my ex..... Sounds nice though...
-
I guess it depends what you're into...if you need convincing guitar vst's the free ones that I've seen are all a bit crap or quite limited, but other than that I think it's more than possible to make something that would sound reasonable to the everyday listener. It's only us lunatics that spend hours/days/weeks/months obsessing over the minute details of the sound that nobody else will ever notice even assuming that they will shut up for long enough to actually listen to the whole track.

Not sure what all this joining of forces means for the future, mostly concerning me is whose idea of support for the combined businesses wins out (Please don't let NI be in charge of that...!!) but Ethereal Earth is a very nice freebie though, so I'll take that and hope that there won't be a price to pay down the line.
-
Well, let's see now....... Offline DAW PC IM is not compatible with OS Regardless of above, I'm generally not in the habit of installing proprietary product "managers" for the sake of a couple of freebies that I probably won't ever use anyway.
-
Thanks. Their website is painfully slow for me right now, so I'll have a go tomorrow.
-
Is there any way to install the PA stuff without installing their "Installation Manager" ?
