  1. I used to think of your stuff as Zappaesque, but really, you have a style and sound all your own. Didn't know whether I wanted to laugh or groove while I listened. Love the weird sound effects throughout. Seriously, if you're not doing so already, you should try to market this. There just might be a niche market for it. Zappa did it and it worked for him. 🙂John B
  2. Thanks all. I appreciate the ideas. 🙂JB
  3. I agree with all above. This is an excellent piece of work in both the song and video. I have a hard time deciding which of your songs I like best. They are all so great. Well produced and performed. Best of luck on your album. May it go double platinum. 🙂❤️John B
  4. Thanks so much, Nigel. 🙂 The DIZI flute program was free when I acquired it a few years ago. It still might be. I've had it for a while. I love it. I've used it on several songs. For a freebie it's very impressive. 🙂JB
  5. Thanks, HIBI. This works real good! 🙂❤️JB
  6. Well then I guess I'll just have to keep doing this in Audacity. Thanks! 🙂JB
  7. So, I'm in between projects now so I'm taking the time to learn some new tricks that can be done in CbB. One of them is editing the beginning and end of a song. This is what I've learned. Is there a better way though?- Fade out using the Master Buss (already covered in another thread). But then, as I usually give at least two bars open before the song starts, I have to determine where I want the player to start and stop. I used to do this by opening the rendered song file in Audacity and clipping the beginning and doing a fade out there, but I want to do this in CbB if possible. How I've learned to do this is - After writing in the fade out curve in the master buss, select any track by pushing the button, thus creating a "ruler" on the time line. Grab that ruler from the beginning and pull it to where I want the song to start. Then, go to the end of the song and grab said ruler to the time point where I want the song to stop ( a few beats past the end of the fade. Only problem is the ruler can't be saved, so if I want to do a remix I have to redo the ruler. Can the ruler, in fact, be saved? Or is there a better way of doing all this? Thanks 😀John B
  8. I know it's possible to ID3 tag a song file before rendering to an Mp3. Is it possible to ID3 tag a WAV in CbB? if so, how? I can do this in Audacity, but I get tired of re opening the wav in another program just to add tag info. Thanks. 😀John B
  9. That's good!! You could probably make it into a song, though. 😉 🙂John B
  10. I plead guilty. I bought a subscription. 😁John B
  11. Just wondering if anybody who uses any plugins from Waves has had a problem with Waves Central version 11.0.43 2019. I did the update yesterday (Fri 11/22) and it gets stuck loading at about 75%. I left it be for about 5 minutes and it eventually completed the load but when I went to update one of my plugins, that got stuck a 98.4%. I had my security software disabled for the update and tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but no change. I emailed their tech support but still waiting. Wondering if anybody here had a similar experience with this version. I never had any problem with any previous versions of the manager. Thanks 🙂John B
  12. Can't be that great. 😉 Thanks so much, Chuck. I really appreciate your kind words here. 🙂JB

Hey! @Bapu On November 9, I took 5 minutes and 34 seconds of my time to listen to your song. Then I left this comment: Production is very professional and radio ready. Excellent vocals and playing. Great songwriting. 🙂John B Since you're not gracious enough to say "Thank you" I'll just have to say YOU'RE WELCOME! 🤬
  15. Great tune. The vocals are top notch. 🙂John B
  16. @Old JoadThanks very much, OJ. Glad you checked it out. 🙂JB
  17. Cute. I can relate to the "technology helped me write this song" line cause I use it too. Very entertaining. If that's you at the end, you're coming along fine. 😉 🙂John B
  18. Thanks so much, Lynn. I don't know why but sometimes when I'm recording the vocals in a project I get all tensed up. I even find myself closing my eyes real tight. It's become a habit and I don't understand it. It's not like I'm in a recording studio where "time is money". I'm in my own home on my own time. For some reason, on this project I gave that the boot and just let it whale out of me and it shows, especially in the choruses. I'm going to remember that next project. I'm not quitting. I just feel as if I need to take a short little break from it. But I've said that before to myself countless times and it didn't last long. Inspiration is a fleeting thing. If a good idea presents itself, you can bet I'll be on it real quick. 😉 🙂JB

I think out of all you've posted this is my favorite. The harmony on the backgrounds are exceptionally nice. 🙂John B
  20. Thanks. This all works, but why can't a WAV file be encoded? 🙂JB
  21. @macceThanks so much for listening and your feedback. 😀John B
  22. Is there any way in CbB to add ID3 tag information to a finished song when you render to WAV or MP3? I've been doing this by opening the finished file in Audacity and adding the info there but just wondering if it can be done in Cakewalk before you render to the final file. Thanks 🙂John B

I'd put a bit more reverb on the lead synth in the middle part. Other than that, it's really nice. 🙂John B
  24. Yes. #2 is going in the right direction. Keep doing what you're doing. It's getting there.🙂 John B😉
  25. Glad you like it, Freddy. Thanks so much! 🙂JB
