Yep! Never can have enough. You do realize the Hammond is multi tier šŸ˜

Being serious I'm thinking a Arturia MIDI keyboard might be the way for me to go.

I bought an Arturia Keylab 61 MkII this year. Had to back order it for 2 months from Sweetwater. Out of stock everywhere!

Solid build quality, heavy metal frame, and feels a lot like like the old rompler workstations that were common in the 90's... unlike most of the common cheap plastic controllers available these days (and I have a few). I plan to use this as my main controller. It's not cheap, though! Probably the best alternative to a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S series.

No regrets! But I would avoid the cheap Keylab Essential series. For one thing, no aftertouch... šŸ˜§

Since you're here, is there a change I could get a re-activation of Syntronik T-03? I bought the whole Syntronik thing a while ago, but I just found out I f*ed up that installation (the rest is fine), I'm missing the last 2 of the 4 files so some sounds are not present.Ā Seems like a shame to pay 9.99 for half a soundset for which I have the hardware.

    7 bucks with Jammies!

Maybe you opted out or bounced or some other reason the system may have opted you out?Ā  If you send me your IK username and email I can have someone check.

Thanks Peter! I see that the last IK Newsletter that I received was back in 2017. I may have opted out at some point, as I am receiving all other forms of email from IK (i.e. Support, Orders, Registration).

Is there a place on the website that I can (re)subscribe to the IK Newsletters?

Basically it said we're at 7 for the price of 1 why the heck wouldn't you join in now that the people of the CW forum have done the heavy lifting for you? :)

I get an email from IK every time that I either buy something, or redeem a freebie registration! But no marketing emails recently? They are not in spam bucket either...

    Hi,

I've been able to get my Novation Impulse to work with Cakewalk through Midiox. But suddenly, it stopped. I tried downloading the latest Midi ox but it says the download isn't available anymore after visiting the midiox website. The previos versions won't work as well.

    Anyone has the same problem?

    Thanks in advance.

The advice to use the native Novation resources is probably best!

But as a long time MIDI-OX user, I was puzzled by your statement that it's no longer available? It's quite useful as a data break-out box for verifying MIDI CC messages sent from external controllers...

It's old, but the Windows version is right here. In fact, I just downloaded it! > http://www.midiox.com/

They could probably increase buy ins if they would let people merge their freebies to a higherĀ  tier.Ā

Like offering to use 3 or 4 $99 tier freebies to get a $199 tier one.Ā

Nice, if I could get Sampltron2 that way! šŸ˜

Pretty sure this will get extended.Ā
The shameĀ of only reaching 9 or 10 freebies when 25 is envisionedĀ will be unbearable.Ā

We need some new freebies to choose from. That would up the game!!!

    Burned up on re-entry...

Well, there's a hole in there somewhere
Yeah, there's a hole in there somewhere

I will have more freebies to burn if this Group Buy thing keeps going! I have everything I want or need (or have disk space for) at this point, LOL! :)

@Peter - IK MultimediaĀ Is it possibleĀ in essence to get the 6-for-1 Power Reels collection by joining the 25th Anniversary up to 25 for 1 promotion by registering one of the Ā @ $99 Tape Machines and picking up the other 5 in the collection?Ā  Or are there differences between the ones in the Anniversary promotion and the 6-for-1 collection (and if so, what are the differences)? Thanks.

    Ā

Burned up 4 of my freebies that way! :)

I respect your opinion but I have to disagree with the merit of your argument, as I see it improving the host is perhaps the most efficient way to improve the collections.
    Ā

I think Peter's explanation is probably the best. AMP impedance improvements and speaker VIR additions to AT5 SE and higher. You don't get those with AT5 CS, which is what I was previously running my AT4 MAX collections in.

My opinion was formed when I took AT4 MAX, and bought AT5 SE specifically for the amp and speaker enhancements.

Looking at these things from a "modular" viewpoint, I did not get any specific collection updates for those that I already had. They remain the same as far as I can tell. No new versions were downloaded.Ā  So I would look at it as the whole product evolved, without requiring software updates to the collections themselves.

I do see the speaker enhancements in AT5, so that is correct. And I will take IK & Peter's word for the amp impedance improvements. :)

The only collections that I did not already have with AT4 MAX were the Brian, Joe, and Dime collections, which I picked up as group buy freebies.

New Cabinet section with VIRā„¢ technology

Powerful new ā€œVolumetric Impulse Responseā€ radically transforms all 100+ cabinets in AmpliTube 5 with over 143,000 impulse response measurements in all.

Exactly what I was referring to.

But that is not exactly the same thing as an upgrade to any existing collections... just an upgrade to the "host". Not bad at all, but the actualĀ  question being asked was "are the collections upgraded for AT5". It's fine if it was just that AT5 was enhanced, but be honest that the collections themselves were not changed (not that they needed to be) ...

  12. 1 hour ago, TheSteven said:

All of the collections were updated for AT5, the degree depends on your version of AT5.

All versions of AT5 now have

    • resizable GUI
    • drag & drop FX chain
    • FX loop

What you are really saying is that the AT5 core app has significant improvements, which I agree with, and Peter has confirmed.

But there is no evidence which I have seen that the collections themselves have been updated. I have AT4 MAX, and AT5 SE, plus all of the collections not included in AT4 MAX.

Has Dimebag been updated for AT5? I am tempted by the effects and that JC120

I'm under the assumption that NONE of the collections got updated for AT5. Just the new collections released since AT4, and the new speaker and cabinet modelling to make them all sound better!
