SOLVED: By habit I never log on as admin and always use my user account on windows for security purposes. But this is not compatible with LABS. It stores the main files in the admin's account. Even trying to move files to my use account I could NOT get it to work. Re-installing everything in the admin account and just using that account I can now use LABS no problem!!! Thank you all for your help! 😀

Yeah, I did that. No luck. And I've tried in so many time the last few days I now have "no more remaining resets for this library, please contact customer support"

Yes, I downloaded the windows app right from the website. up to date. And spitfire support has NOT gotten back to me yet after 3 days 😞

I tried installing a random preset called "classic synths" - one I hadn't tried in the past. It downloaded correctly. I can see everything in the folder, but LABS in cakewalk doesn't see anything. I really just don't understand!

Ok so I completely deleted everything on my computer associated with spitfire. I reinstalled the app from scratch and tried downloading one of the presets. I'm still getting the ERROR #1 message. I just don't understand why labs can't find its' own presets?! Your instructions are awesome! I did all that though and it's still not finding it. When I try to re-install the labs presets cakewalk automatically scans but says 0 new plugins found. 1) I did as suggested and removed the erroneous search paths 2) I tried installed a couple instruments, but nowhere do I find actual .vst files. All I can find are .zpreset, .zconfig, .zmulti and .spitfire files. So this has me confused... 3) I know how to open instruments in cakewalk no problem. I've been using some native instruments products for a while but I keep coming back to wanting LABS but can't install them for some reason... I took screenshots of anything relevant I could think of. Does anyone know where I should be saving everything to? Also, I notice the LABS presets are .zpreset files not vst I literally don't know what I'm doing and pulling my hair out. I used to be so good with computer stuff but right now I feel stupid. Can someone help?

I'm wondering if anyone has come up against "ERROR #1" trying to load Spitfire LABS into cakewalk. I've tried all the things I've found online about it but I haven't found a solution. I included a screenshot of the error. Has anyone found a solution? I'm using Windows 10.

I THINK I SOLVED IT: I changed the audio driver from ASIO to Wasapi Shared

Update: I notice that sometimes I'm able to record using Drum Pro plugin without too many "crackle" sounds, but when I opened up cakewalk this morning the distortion is so bad I can't hit a single note with Drum Pro cleanly. I never change anything. I just don't get it. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the suggestion of trying the virtual controller! After "using" that, my Akai MPK Mini mkIII magically started working with the drums too. So no more problems. I've tried lowering the volume on Drum Pro with no luck, also lowering the "gain" on the midi input section of cakewalk with no luck. No matter what volume or parameter, they stick "crackle" when I fire them. Has anyone noticed this? Thank you

Hey everyone, I'm new to cakewalk and I've had some success using the standard cakewalk plugins and other plugins like massive, however when I try to use the free drums called "Drum Pro" I can never get any sound to actually record. The input registers on cakewalk (it can hear it) and I can hear the drums through my speakers, but when I go into record mode, nothing gets laid down. I've tried everything I can think of. Any thoughts?
