  1. Is this comparable to metaplugin by DDMF?

    BFD 3 $99

not sure how long you had a license but wonder if it happened around when BFD was acquired in 2020 by inmusic? šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø Think their systems changed when that happened & maybe some data got lost in the shuffle, have you logged in at the inmusic site already to check for your license? Thatā€™s where mine show now at least
  3. Waves back on at 3rd parties? https://everyplugin.com/plugins/shopby/manufacturer/waves.html?p=2
  4. Havenā€™t updated waves central in over a year, anyone with unsolicited advice know if the smoke cleared with everything yet? Should i accept the eula? Trying to download clarity, and waves central of course needs to update first. The agreement aspect has me triggered now. Currently all my waves plugins still work but donā€™t want to do anything too hasty. Is the ability to individually download plugins still available in the new version? Or would a manual install be less risky here
  5. I know this question is entirely subjective, but curious if anyone thinks spiff has $99 worth of an advantage over other transient shapers out there. For example I have a shapers/designers from softube, izotope, now wavesfactory.. determining if those are enough to get the job done. Of course defining ā€œthe jobā€ would be another question in itself lol.. but would anyone say that Spiff does for transients what soothe does for vocals? (I think soothe is top tier personally) Again, subjective question so open to any kind of opinions out there.. (for what YOU do.. is it worth it?) Itā€™s also possible i donā€™t understand the full potential of Spiff.
  6. Iā€™m just waiting for something along the lines of: ā€œIn celebration of welcoming back perpetual licenses, and as our way of saying weā€™re sorry, weā€™re pleased to present all of our long-time loyalty users with a record-low discount price of $28.99 across our entire library of plugins!ā€¦ā€
  7. Side question, it seems like updating OS & software versions is really important to most people. So another question I have is, do those peopleā€™s (maybe even you as the reader) reasons for upgrading software or OS truly warrant losing their entire waves plugin library? Asking because Iā€™m still on an old operating system, & donā€™t foresee myself updating anytime soon especially after this. I havenā€™t run into compatibility issues with other software yet, but I donā€™t want to lose my waves plugins personally, along with having full access to projects Iā€™ve savedā€”I guess I would consider myself a heavy waves user. V12 work fine for me. I guess my confusion comes when i hear that people who frequently use waves plugins and value them dearly have spent thousands on their collection, but then willingly go and update their computer fully knowing the consequences of not being able to use them ever again now. To whoever wants to answer: what are your reasons for upgrading OS (and basically sacrificing) all your waves plugins to the WCA? Iā€™m genuinely curious, I am a hobbyist so my perspective is quite limited especially to the needs of more pro studios out there, which is why iā€™m open to hearing what everyone else might have to say here. Maybe I should update and ditch waves for shinier updates to everything else on my computer? (Obv. my disagreement with all the waves madness should go without saying, more focused now on moving forward)
  8. With all the changes to Waves Central, Is it possible at this point to switch your waves licenses to a usb key, if your current plugins/licenses are already stored directly on your hard drive? In other words is it too late you think?
  9. ADSR was kind enough to reply to me in saying this: ā€Hey there, Thanks for writing in about that sale price and we're so sorry for the abrupt change in pricing. Unfortunately as we are a reseller of other companies products, we legally were obliged to honor PSP's request to end the sale price sooner than anticipated. We are so sorry for this mistake, we have many other products on sale at ADSR if there is anything else we can assist with please let us know. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. Kindest regards Bishop ADSRā€ still bummed since weā€™re also caught in the middle of wavespocalypse. Was going to snag this as my waves replacement but maybe next time
  10. April 4th? Was about to grab it but $199 again šŸ™ƒ
  11. Too many projects in the works.. Turning off wifi for the rest of the year..
  12. Dumb question, but I know nothing about github so the coding/text everywhere throws me off. To download do i just click either the single .exe or .dmg file, and do I need my own IRā€™s, or do they come included?
  13. Fortunately grabbed mine in time, but posted the code a bit late i suppose. That was quick
  14. Makes sense in that case! Iā€™ve admittedly been lurking this forum just for the deals & freebies the last few months and itā€™s become my favorite one over kvr, vi control, bpb, rekkerd, etc. so thank you all for the consistent contributions. i figured it was time to join the conversation lol, albeit a mac user Iā€™m by no means here to hold it as a higher standard since windows has plenty of its own great advantages, cakewalk being one of them! I only have a macbook as it was the required hardware for school/work. All that said, Waves still just as frustrating no matter the hardware/OS šŸ™„ Though i am grateful for these little youtube influencer freebies every now and then
  15. Yes agreed, by all means follow this protocol for Windows users
  16. (Mac/Logic guy here) FWIW Iā€™m still running version 11 plugins bc of WUP, and waves central sometimes adds in extra versions (that I donā€™t need) of a plugin when I install a new one. i routinely clear out waveshell versions I donā€™t use from my components, vst & vst3 folders by deleting them straight from their respective folders (or drag them to the trash, whatever is easier). For example the V10 & v14 waveshells sometimes get installed and Iā€™ll just delete those but leave the v11 shells. Works fine for me. I also keep my vst folders completely cleared out of all unintentionally installed plugins to save space since I donā€™t need any of those. No issues here running my v11ā€™s doing it this way
  17. For vocalign project 5ā€“Any idea if buying this lets you use the old legacy versions of Vocalign as well? Or can you only use those if you owned licenses for them while they were the actively supported (versions 1-4 for example)
  18. Thanks! Yes makes total sense. I also found this guide to roll back to an older version https://www.waves.com/support/how-to-roll-back-to-waves-v10 Looks like this method works for versions v9 and above
  19. I'm one of those who has an older Macbook dedicated specifically to music creation, and I never update the OS specifically to avoid incompatibility issues with plugins. Am I wrong to say that you can just activate v14 licenses on any older Macbook (regardless of the age), and just keep even the older v10, v11, or whatever versions installed that are compatible with your OS, as long as you don't plan on updating? Seems like WUP is only affecting the person who is constantly updating their computer to the newest OS but I could be wrong? I can see how WUP can be extremely frustrating for that person either way For what it's worth I'm still on OSX 10.14 and have access everything up to waves' v12 plugins, and haven't had issues running plugs from any other companies yet
