    Out of My Hands

I have been feeling more and more that so many things are out of my hands, so that is the feeling behind this song which ironically came out of my hands. Used Kontakt stuff, and some dpro, addictive drums, and ample strat (for the 3rd time i think). Thanks for listening and for any feedback, treesha
  3. Not sure about your exact issue but what i would do is keep recording longer than you want then put a volume envelope on the extra length you recorded and fade it down where i want it to end.
  4. I may be wrong but if this screenshot is supposed to be melodyne 5, I don’t think it has a transfer button. I think older versions had to be transferred (played into melodyne). Not at my computer now. i agree about using it as a region fx and rendering when done editing.
  5. Thanks PhonoBrainer, glad you had a fun listen! Early 80s, I went to a concert in Philadelphia to see The Specials, and this other group was playing too...Oingo Boingo. I enjoyed their set so much ! Great performance ! A eclectic mix of crazy fun and a horn section in full business suits. Since then I have also enjoyed the film scores Danny Elfman has done very much, so I am definitely a fan. I'm flattered by your comment !
  6. For anyone interested or who entered a song in this competition, soundiron has posted 69 tracks that were submitted on soundcloud.
  7. Having fun with this, took to it easier than other samplers I have tried
  8. I am not finding that, I had platinum, was this from an earlier version ? thanks
  9. Hi DeeringAmps thanks for listening and your feedback. Glad you enjoyed it. It was fun and a good exercise as you mention, as for deadlines ? Unfamiliar with them.. normally- I work on some songs for a long time ha.

    Winter Mornings

Does feel wintertime so you captured the season well. Like relaxing by the fire looking out at the freshly fallen sparkling snow. Nice vibe.

    Mysteries of Time

Very lovely and mysterious, enjoyed it !
  12. Thanks antler. The instructions said to upload the entry to soundcloud. I haven’t looked around on there to see if they are available to check out. I will listen to your posts. 🛎
  13. Hi Tim, thanks for listening and your comment! I never entered a contest before but was interested in giving the concept a try. I have no idea what would be a competitive entry either ! So yeah it was fun and thats good. I am curious to see what other entries are like and I imagine those who work with samples a lot would be good at this. Still time for you to enter 😀

    Memorial

Very special, thanks for sharing. I played at my dad's memorial service and its very touching to be able to contribute music when a loved one passes on as well as hard to do ! This is a nice piece, very clean and mixed well. Not overly sad sad sad but conveying emotion. Good son !
  15. Real nice, the mix is good, very smooth and rich. Great voice. If you ever had any female backup singers wow that would be amazing to add in with your style. Good Luck with your career and your release !
  16. That sure is interesting how that choir works. It does have an atmosphere of a real choir in a big cathedral or the like. I enjoyed it, sounds reverent and spiritual. I think you achieved your intention well. Good job

    Celtic Way

Really does go on like a journey, nice choice of instrumentation and mood. One suggestion is to create more of a sense of space and depth, have some things go more to the front and the others more off into the distance, and switch around which ones do which. Different reverbs or delay and panning would make it more lovely. Enjoyed listening and the picture being half irish ha.

    MBB

Well done and fun, especially enjoyed the variety in the vocals and the guitar playing. Was trying to decipher the things you don't use ha think I got one
  20. Hi antler, thanks for listening and your positive feedback. I did try to get creative with it and make the sounds different with fx etc. Thank you for the good luck wishes, I enjoyed the process and that's the best part really.
  21. I never posted here first ha
  22. Hi Paul, thanks for listening and your feedback. Always so interesting! I assume you mean bond, like James Bond ha. Have to agree it is eclectic ! It was fun to mess around with the samples, not something I normally do. Regards back !
  23. Hey SupaReels, thanks for listening and your comment ! Well no, I didnt realize I can sing that song in it somewhere, interesting and funny. I do like that song so maybe it was in lurking in the back of my brain somewhere ha. I think its been said there is nothing new under the sun, maybe it was Sting who said it 😄
  24. Hi jack c. Thanks for listening and your comment. It was supposed to be under 2 minutes for the competition entry but I could always revisit it. I agree it has some beautiful parts to it and did feel it could go on longer.
