  1. Yeah I see where you're coming from but I see if I am able to make it work with one.
  2. I didn't get that one but I have tried freezing in the past before and it didn't take.
  3. For 1, I'm not the only one who does this. For 2, I explained why I need those 3. Sure maybe the second one could be taken away and maybe I might be able to filter through my first EQ but still.
  4. Oh sorry. But yes I do have a compressor for sidechaining. Is this taking up a lot of CPU? Should I delete it? Or do you have other ways to save CPU when it comes to plugins?
  5. As a matter of fact, yes. I have a sidechain bus that has the Sonitus Compressor on it and everything except the acapella is sent to that bus for sidechaining when the kick hits.
  6. Thank you so much for your help. So I did bypass the FX but it was making it difficult to pinpoint what exactly was causing it. So I reenabled my plugins and I figured I'd turn off all the lead FX since that was the main problem. So I came to the conclusion that the problem is my EQ's which is bad because I have 3 of them. Why do I have so many? I have 1 EQ to remove some low end and make it sound brighter, then the second EQ is a post EQ which I slapped on after adding the rest of the FX so that in case any low end came back, I could just remove it. And the final EQ is to put it through a high pass filter for the build up. I'll keep looking to see if I should remove 1 or all of my EQ's or if maybe some other plugins that might not need to be here should be gone. Thanks for your help. I appreciate the help on this one but the problem is indeed a plugin problem just as I had thought from the beginning. Normally when I begin to add plugins, my project just begins to stutter and cut audio for a split second and this is not happening to only this project. I would've tried your method but I don't want to go through the hassle of deleting them all and then opening the project again to find out which plugin is causing the problem and this would just bring me to bypassing them all anyway. So I appreciate your help. 1 last thing. Do any of you have good tips on saving CPU when it comes to adding plugins and such? I have had some dropouts before posting my question and I figure that all those FX are taking a toll on my CPU. So if any of you has tips on saving CPU when it comes to that, I would be very grateful and so would my computer.
  7. Thanks first of all. And second, I don't think I have a demo plugin. I have free plugins but none that are a limited time use. I have these specific plugins in these categories: Leads: 6 leads total coming from a free plugin called Vital. 7 plugins are being used to enhance the sound of these leads and those are 3x LP EQ's, TAL-Filter 2 (free sidechain plugin), OTT, Sonitus Delay, and BREVERB 2 Cakewalk. Chords: 6 chords total all coming from Vital and a few from a free version of a plugin called Alpha. 6 plugins total. TAL-Filter 2, LP EQ, BREVERB 2 Cakewalk, OTT, Sonitus Delay, and Wider (free plugin that makes sounds feel...wider). Sub bass: Only 1 being custom from Vital. 3 plugins total. LP EQ, OTT, TAL-Filter 2. Growl bass: Only 1 coming from Vital. Same plugins as the sub bass. LP EQ, OTT, TAL-Filter 2. Basses: 2 basses being a mid and a saw bass both from Vital. Same plugins as the other two. LP EQ, OTT, TAL-Filter 2. Pads: 4 total coming from Alpha. 6 plugins total. TAL-Filter 2, LP EQ, BREVERB 2 Cakewalk, Sonitus Delay, Wider, and sTilt V2. Sidechain: Just a bus that I made to make everything duck as the kick hits. Only 1 plugin is in here and that is the Sonitus Compressor. Kicks: 5 kicks total all coming from Bandlab's sample library. 2 plugins total. LP EQ and OTT. Snares: 5 snares total all coming from Bandlab's sample library. 4 plugins total. OTT, Wider, LP EQ, and BREVERB 2 Cakewalk. FX: Just an empty bus that helps to control the volume of all the FX that I have. About 50 in total, not including my white noise effect I made in Vital. Master: The master bus...duh. So with all that, none of my plugins are demos and I'm pretty sure I went a bit overboard with the FX and plugins but this is my first song that I will complete in Cakewalk. If you have any idea what could be causing the problem with my leads, please help me. Or if you any tips for plugins and how to apply them properly like, "Don't put all your plugins in 1 bus. Instead put them on the sounds and some in the bus". Just an example and I'm pretty sure a really useless one. But I do hope that with this, you can help me or someone else can read this and help me out. Thank you.
  8. Hi. I am having some issues with my exported song. So during playback in the DAW, my leads in my song have some parts where they're audio just cuts out for a split second and then comes back. So when I exported my song, the leads sound the exact same way. I've looked on forums, YouTube, Google, but no one is talking about this and I really need help to fix my problem. I'll include my song so whoever knows how to fix this problem, knows what I'm talking about. I hope someone can help. (It's called "Take 5" just so I can find the file easier) Take 5.mp3
  9. I'm not gonna lie, I thought I did this wrong and I was so confused but I am the happiest person on earth right now! I had no idea what most of this meant but I'm glad I came here for help. Thank so much for your help! I will be trying out my keyboard again and see if I missed anything but if it doesn't, I'll just come back here. Thank you so so much for your help!
  10. Yes. For one, Vital is indeed a synthesizer. For two, I tried to install Nils' K1v but I didn't know how since all the files are dll files and none of them actually did anything. So if you could explain to me step by step on how to download K1v, then I would be very grateful.
  11. So I am new to Cakewalk but I have some knowledge thanks to YouTube. I have been installing some third party plugins such as K1v by Nils and Vital. My issue is that when I apply an effect like Vital to a track, there's no audio whatsoever. Here's an example. I add in a new piano track and I want to modify the piano to sound more synth like. I then click the + next to FX directly from the piano track and select Vital. Once Vital is applied, the track loses all sound and I cannot get the sound unless the power button is clicked to disable the effect. The wierd thing is that I still see the audio levels going up when I click a key from the plugin but any existing MIDI I have on that track has no sound. I really need help with this because I don't want to uninstall Vital and I definitely don't want to move on to one of the paid DAW's. Another plugin that I would like to know how to get working is Free Alpha and that much like Vital produces no sound. Free Alpha is much like Omnisphere 2 and Nexus in that it has sound banks and presets but I can't get the audio to play. 1 more thing about Vital, I made this vocal preset in Vital and I would like to know how I can get that exact sound I made into the track that it's applied to. And finally, I have a MIDI keyboard and specifically the Worlde Panda Mini and that isn't working for some reason. I connected the keyboard, I tried to select all the parameters I needed but the "Input" section in the MIDI keyboard section from the Preferences tab is blank. There are no options on there for my keyboard so that led me to believe that my keyboard just isn't compatible with Cakewalk and maybe the same might be true for my plugins. I don't want to have to buy a new keyboard but if I have to then at least give me some compatible inexpensive keyboards. I don't want to accept the truth that neither my plugins nor my keyboard are incompatible with Cakewalk. I do hope there is a way to fix all my problems. Please and thank you. Label my problems like this. Vital: ... Free Alpha: ... Keyboard: ... I do hope all of these problems have a solution.
  12. So uninstalled the Bandlab Assistant for the first time yesterday (Sunday, June 13th) and I have been having issues with the Bandlab Assistant. When I open the Bandlab Assistant to try to install Cakewalk from there, I just get a completely blank Assistant and then it just closes itself. I have tried to install multiple times from the website to hopefully fix this but no dice. I tried YouTube but so far other than giving me older files which contain some goodies, that YouTuber isn't helpful whatsoever. If someone can help figure out why my Bandlab Assistant is blank and why it's closing itself (closing itself like clicking "X" to close the window from your computer), I would be very grateful. Please help and thank you to whoever helps me. Edit: I am installing the Bandlab Assistant for the first time and a brand new computer with 64 bit and 12 gb of ram with 512 ssd I think.
