OrchestralTools Sine player and free Layers library.
dubdisciple replied to Steve Harder's topic in Instruments & Effects
Wouldn't this be a DAW thing? Just route track midi to selected track? -
It was listed for 40. My alarm went off but seller's other offerings seem closer to regular price . i figured that since i was leaning towards Modo, getting both for the price of one was a decent risk/reward chance.

This is actually pretty cool. More for use in genres like lo-fi than classical but damn good freebie
-
😂😂😂 I sure hope not. I will update
-
Just wanted to thank everyone for their input

I decided to go with both... hopefully. I snagged modo sale and used jam points to get for $69. I found ezbass on ebay dirt cheap and am awaiting and hoping it's legit.

I already have Animate, but I bit on the balancing course. I have found it interesting so far and worth getting.
-
Ok. I only saw first post initially

Is there a second voucher that stacks to bring down to 10?
-
They have sales constantly. Wait for some crazy sale.

Have you tried Vocal Synth by Izotope?
-
Same. I have ssl from ssl, ssl G from brainworks, not to mention the fact that cakewalk has an ssl strip of sorts.

"I need another channel strip like I need a second *****" vs "that Neve is really nice at that price"

We need a new VST instrument inside Cakewalk
dubdisciple replied to EnglandBross's topic in Instruments & Effects
I should have specified "with low effort". Off the top of my head I know my UVI stuff would not work. I think we discussed this before. Akai's big errors were abandoning project and shutting down the exchange. I think most of us are willing to manually input a fav synth or two, but nobody is going through all of their native instrument expansions or kontakt libraries. I have mixed feelings about nks. I like that it actually works but hate the restrictions. -

I loved old cakewalk instruments too, but I agree with. abacab. There are too many free products that are probably better AND less likely to crash your current setup. Vital and Surge alone cover most of the synth options. Almost every drum and sampler option is superior to what cakewalk offered for . Beatscape at best was a not finished instrument that never caught on. Granted, finding a vast rompler like dimension pro for free is a challenge in an all in one product, but bbc discovery, labs, sine player, ample guitar/bass lite, kontact player, and decent sampler will give you overall better sound quality. I still have the installers for a number of cakewalk instruments and the only one i bother with is zeta+2 and mostly because it's one of the few synths i have that VIP software works with. -
Brief Question on iZotope Nectar Elements
dubdisciple replied to Ted K. Ling's topic in Instruments & Effects
So glad you were able to solve it. I agree the old version was more usable . the newer version is not bad but there is so little control. I will look in my account and see where my installer is -

If you registered it, it should still be in your izotope account. You have to look in the legacy installers area -
Brief Question on iZotope Nectar Elements
dubdisciple replied to Ted K. Ling's topic in Instruments & Effects
Kind of. I forgot the details. If I'm not mistaken it was not directly from Cakewalk. Forgive me if I am wrong , but I believe when Cakewalk first started including Addictive Drums, during the registration with XLN they were giving away the original version of Elements and we got in on deal. -
They finally released the update for beats and it is working great in cakewalk for now.

I use this feature all the time now

I think sidechaining might work wonders. best of luck
-
I'm using it in camp today for a "found sound' project. My son and i have been listening to too much John cage lol
-
I also want to emphasize that the mix issue is minor. i loved it as is
