  1. Just log on to Command Center everything you purchased will be there. If you forgot your login information Support will help you get it working
  2. @BGJammer I posted a folder with some of my bluegrass collection. I also made a midi folder with a lot of files in it. Should keep you busy for a few years. Link is in my signature
  3. No they are not dumb questions. And I’m glad you explained your situation. I actually start to worry about folks who seem to struggle and yes we’ve all been there before and I don’t forget how hard it was for me to change from hardware to software. I guess part of the problem with using a DAW is you really do need to spend a lot of time just learning how the stupid thing works an it takes all the fun out of recording. I’m still learning. I think as you start out best to do very basic recording and don’t try to use all the fancy things that are so tempting. Like Melodyne. I avoided it for a long time now and just figured it out this fall. Sort of
  4. In my signature is also more helpful tutorials.
  5. I say in the video that there’s really no difference between the pro channel effects bin and the regular bin based on this diagram. If I’m wrong please someone point it out. edit update. I since learned that there is no difference in using either one but by default the pro channel is first in the signal path. I added this in the update video
  6. And why is Melodyne in the effects bin?? that's kinda weird. Richard may I ask- are you one of those people who comes here and asks for advice but don't follow through and therefore always having problems?? Not trying to be rude but you seem to be trying to work with Cakewalk in a odd ball way.
  7. I went for lunch once and forgot to stop playback. When I returned there was a 1 hour long empty space still happily playing along the timeline. As I say, I just hit spacebar and if it's set to return to where I started ( Crtl W toggles this) that's goodby to the 1 hour of nothing. If it's set to stop in place, I just hit W and return to the beginning. There's no data created past the end of the the audio or midi if all you did was play the song. But if you do this while recording even silence is data and the song will have this included in the export. Yes it would be nice to have a end of song marker that works but as I say myself I would never use it because it's not an issue for me. On rare occasion I have an export with a long tail and I can easily find out why. It's going to be some data that got shuffled out of sight due to editing copy paste etc. It's a good thing people don't use reel to reels for recording anymore...
  8. Updated a bunch of files. I added sub folders with categories to make it easier to find what your interested in. I've got a long ways to go before this is finished. Just spent the evening opening all my Bluegrass songs and removing audio and then "save as" to one drive. Also did a whole bunch of 60's stuff too. I also will try to put full song titles. Artist and some lyrics in the "NOTES" so open the notes and you might get lucky.
  9. Funny it never bothers me as I just ignore it and hit W
  10. Cakewalk lyrics implementation is very basic and crude. I don’t think any one uses it successfully. I think it’s DOS. It is a long standing update request like staff view.
  11. They stopped making the 6i6. The 4i6 is the closest but lacking the spdif so for me the 8i6 is the best replacement. But I’ve decided to just carry on and put up with Motu issues hoping for that update. I can like you just use my old interface because lesson learned is nothing new is guaranteed to be better
  12. You would have had a audio clip highlighted. You need to find it and render or bounce to clip. All clips that have or had Melodyne applied will say that in the clip I’d text The thing that normally says record 33. Etc.
  13. When I first got my Tascam us1641 in 2008 the driver was at least much better than the M Audio fast track it replaced but there were many issues for sure I finally got fed up in 2014 and bought the Scarlett 6i6. It had just hit the street and it went through a year of updates before it became solid. It’s still super solid and my best overall interface. About the time I bought the 6i6 (2014) Tascam did go in house and released a new driver for mine. Wasn’t expecting that. It became solid as a rock ever since. But both are 6 years old and I thought time for an update to the modern world. What a disappointment the Motu was as the only thing better is a few ms of RTL. I am hoping a driver update will fix the issues it has that my other 2 devices don’t have Wont switch sample rate for some videos pops loudly when it does Have to run at a higher buffer settings or crackles and needs to be turned on before I open cakewalk doesn’t have power supply rear jacks are almost useless because no toggle settings no SPDIF after all Tascam did come through 6 years later 🥺
  14. That’s what I do. There’s always a point that is seem less and you hear nothing
  15. Yes I got your pm and will be glad to help. There are possibly some of the songs there but those are mostly from my solo act. As I said in my pm I will also share my other files which have some of those song as well.
  16. What buffer settings are you using. 256 should work for your system. Are you using the ASIO driver?
  17. My video was about on board computer audio. It was not about using an interface. If you had told us what you were using I would not have waisted time explaining about that. But I had to assume on board otherwise. I have stated the correct driver mode twice already.
  18. I think we are on to something here. That's not right that the Tascam is forcing back to 48. What I'm thinking is every time you do something the Tascam is jumping back to 44.1 and then when the Audio engine starts it goes to 48. ` I think I'll hook up my us 1641 and see what it does. I think the drivers are very similar for all Tascam interfaces. OK I hooked up my Tascam and it showed 48 when I turned it on. I loaded Cakewalk, still 48, I loaded a 44.1 file and it quietly switched sample rates. I had put the Tascam Control Panel on my second monitor to watch it. So I closed Cakewalk and it stayed on 44.1 I opened Wave Lab and It stayed 44.1, I But I opened a you tube and it quietly changed to 48. And I had my monitors on pretty loud just to listen for any glitches. So I turn off the Tascam and turn on the Motu M4 and it's at 44.1. I played the same You tube that my Tascam changed to 48 and the Motu stayed at 44.1. ? I manually changed the rate to 48 and I got that POP. ITS LOUD>>> I leave it at 48 and open Cakewalk then the 44.1 Project and no pop. Does your control panel look like this. Notice you can't change the sample rate it either says automatic or internal. Thats for the SPDIF.
  19. I hope that Tascam takes note of this as it's surprising how far flung posts like this can go on the internet today. Your title to the tread is perfect as it contains 2 keywords for Google Search. Problems- US us 4x4HR. People with issues or better yet people doing research on what interface to buy might find your post. Hopefully they will be getting other complaints and possibly update the driver. What is odd is Cakewalk and Tascam were working together at one point a few years ago... both owned by Gibson?? If it makes you feel better my Motu M4 also does exactly what you are saying from time to time. My other interfaces never did that. It's got something to do with changing sample rates I figure. Ha- I was right I didn't even finish typing 4x4 And check it out
  20. Not about Melodyne but I was a little worried about your method of using Reverb. I made a quick tutorial which I was going to do anyways.
  21. Audacity is the best place to proof because it will play any audio file. When you open them in Audacity is there a visible wave form ? Do the VU meters move? If there is no wave form then something was wrong with your export. If there is then something is is wrong with your playback system as above.
  22. I'm not sure what the Transfer method is, but I use the Regional effects and work with only short clips. I then render them ( you can also use Bounce to clips) and they are now just regular audio clips and melodyne is gone. The clips will be marked as Melodyne but it is no longer active. But even with Melodyne active on a track your effects send to your reverb or delay buss will still be on line. Unless you are making the mistake of Applying an effect?
  23. Yes that's why having a master is important. Each track might not be peaking but they are summed to the master. Just turn your tracks down equally until the master is OK. Or do like me and put the BT Brickwall on it and slam it! Turn up your studio monitors. A lot of people mix too hot because they have their monitors turned down.
