Not a deal: Just had one of my tracks played on the radio tonight for the first time, so buzzing a little 🙂 Edit: Adding links (still semi reluctantly!) to the track on the various platforms after a few people requested to hear it 😊 https://linktr.ee/disorderlyconductor

If you REALLY want to show your gratitude...find a good charity and donate. I have finally made it out of abject poverty into mediocre poverty, and am VERY grateful, so find a GOOD NON-PROFIT and donate to it, or to a poor family you may know! THAT would be the ULTIMATE way to show your gratitude! And if you know of a REALLY GOOD CHARITY (NOT a Political one), then post it here for others to donate! It's time to help those less fortunate than ourselves! Charity (love) covers a multitude of sins!

Hello everyone, I am sorry for not chiming in sooner, it has been a bit of a mess to say the least. In short, I fell prey to a classic collaboration phishing attack, the most convincing I had ever seen. The hackers were posing as Lichty Guitars and wanted me to select one of their custom made instruments to inbox and share my experiences in a video. The communication looked legit and did not give me a reason to doubt the authenticity, but their trap was about to be sprung. Thursday about 12:00 pm EST, I opened an application from them (the impersonator) that was able to steal what I believe were my SESSION COOKIES, giving them a way to bypass the usual Two Factor Authentication I had set up. Things happened very quickly from there. After closing my computer we went out and on our way I get a Two Factor Prompt that someone was trying to log in from the Netherlands. I clicked NO This Is Not Me, but the damage was done. I tried pulling over to try and change my password but they had already gained access and locked me out. The next thing was my wife gets a notification that “I” just started a livestream, but it was “TESLA” and something to do with cryptocurrency. Needless to say I turned the car around and headed back home to see if there was anything I could do. I immediately started to try and change passwords for other sensitive accounts using the Gmail account associated with my channel. I also made contact by phone with the real Lichty Guitars (which I should have done in the first place) and verified that this was indeed a scam and that they have been targeted before. I also Tweeted my situation tagging YouTube Creators as that was really the only option to get any type of support. Email, chat, of course phone options were non existent. After a little while, I received a direct message on Twitter giving me a way to submit an account recovery form. I filled out the information and then all I could do was wait. Time passes (it is later Thursday), and I get an email saying my account has been recovered. So I immediately go and change passwords and work on doing malware scans to eliminate any possible threat that might still be on my system. I then see that I could now login to my channel to start cleaning up the mess. When this type of hack occurs, usually nothing on the channel is deleted, they will set all of the videos to PRIVATE and change other meta data, channel icon, and channel name. I did a bulk edit to mark my videos to public again and tried to get my channel name and icon set back to normal. Things were looking fine UNTIL I get an email from YouTube saying that now my channel had been TERMINATED! This was something I never expected but now it seems that this was possibly in response to viewers seeing something was wrong on the channel earlier and reporting it to YouTube as a precaution. So back to Twitter as well as following up with replies to earlier emails from YouTube partner support. Now I wait…….. I did get a response from YouTube late last night assuring me that they are working on getting things resolved, so I am hopeful that will be soon. In the mean time, I ordered a YUBIkey which is a hardware two factor device that ironically was what the hackers were using to prevent me from logging in or regaining access to my account. I am also working through making sure I changed passwords on other platforms that might be vulnerable. So, many lessons learned and wake up call received. The biggest one is not fully trusting that little voice saying, why would a guitar company want you to do a video, you don’t even play guitar 😂😂😂😂 I laugh a little now but with a deep regret that this happened in the first place, costing me a lot of lost time trying to fix a mess that could have easily been avoided. I have to say that I have received so much support from the community and that has been such a comfort and encouragement. Also, by sharing what happened to me maybe someone will be spared the headache that I am dealing with now. I will keep everyone posted as the events continue to unfold. You can follow me on Twitter @praisetracks if you are on that platform but I will be here as well. Staying joyful, Simeon

Well boys...my Birthday trip to Vegas begins at 1 am tomorrow morning so I have to get to bed by 8! I have to be at the Airport by 2:30 am for a 6 am flight! They want us at the Airport THREE HOURS before take off, which is CRAZY! So, mind the shop while I'm away!!! I switched my Hotel to the Horseshoe (formerly Bally's) because I got a 1,500 sq ft Premium Suite for less than my 300 sq ft room at Paris, and I still have the Eiffel Tower view that I wanted! For perspective, my ENTIRE HOUSE is only 960 sq ft LOL! I'm excited and petrified, as I've never traveled by plane alone before! Viva Las Vegas!!!

A holiday thanks for everyone who makes this forum so friendly and valuable. I've been using online music-making forums since the early days of KVR and I find no other music-making forum as friendly, helpful and user-centric as this forum, and specifically, I'm thinking of the Deals subforum. Unsurprisingly, @cclarry is the first person who comes to mind when I think of this subforum. No one else has worked as hard at making this subforum so valuable and stocked with deals as cclarry. I've told him many times that he could stop posting deals and retire as an all-time Cakewalk Forum MVP and Hall of Famer -- the Michael Jordan of the forum. The other MVP and Hall of Famer is @Wookiee, the forum moderator. Like cclarry, Wookiee isn't paid to do what he does, but he does it better than most paid moderators, IMO. Woookie is a volunteer who helps this community out of the goodness of his heart. He keeps the forum on track, and in the rare moments when someone exhibits less than civil behavior or goes into undesirable territory, Wookiee is there to keep this community healthy and he's clearly doing a great job. If you've ever interacted with Wookiee, you know that he's very helpful, kind and considerate. I couldn't think of better qualities for a moderator, a community member -- or for a human being in general. Beyond our MVPs, we have a community -- it's not big, but it's big enough, IMO -- of really nice, helpful and encouraging people that make this forum great. Personally, there's been a good deal of people who've gone out of their way to provide helpful advice when I ask for advice on effects plugins, on sample libraries or post a song and solicit mixing advice. I want to give a big holiday thank you to all of you -- whether you've shared a deal, posted a funny remark or story, shared insights, gave a recommendation for or against a plugin or library, encouraged someone else or taken a thread in a new direction (sure, at some forums that call that "off-topic" or "derailing a thread," but here, it's an honored tradition; we'd say something, but anyone could expose the regulars here as hypocrites in a few clicks!). Whatever you celebrate, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc., I wish you and your family the happiest and healthiest of holidays and all the best in the year ahead.

I would like to dedicate my 1000th post on the CW forum to all who have made this forum the best place to hang out on the Internet. First and foremost, to King Larry, without whom our wallets would be fuller and our hard drives emptier. Your tireless work is unequalled. To Fleer, who more than not, has pushed me over the edge when I was undecided about making a purchase. To Bapu, whose post count and Toontrack collection is something to which we can only dream of aspiring. To Tiger the Frog, whose window into the past of composing for film are both inspiring and entertaining. To Simeon, whose playing is so effortless, that I have made purchases based on his videos only to realize that you actually need talent to make the plugins sound as good as Simeon can make them. And to countless others whose presence here have provided hours of entertainment, good advice, and a real sense of community.

If you have encountered any of these issues, please check out this release and and confirm that your issue is resolved before we release the official public version. Please note that Early Access installers are update installers, which only update from a specific version. To install the 2022.11 Early Access build, you must be on the latest public release of 2022.09 or later. Download Cakewalk 2022.11 EA installer If you haven't already done so, please read about the Early Access Program before participating. Should you need to revert to the 2022.09 release, you can download the Cakewalk 2022.09 Rollback installer. Please keep responses specific to problems or comments on this release. Unrelated bugs or feature requests should be posted in other threads or the feature request channel. Thanks again for your participation! The Bakers Updated to 28.11.0.012 This build contains the following additional improvements: Quick group support for: Track effect bin Bypass Track effect bin Delete Effect (hold down CTRL+SHIFT to also remove an effect from any FX Chains within the selected tracks) Individual effect bypass Fix: Orphaned envelope cannot be reassigned after replacing effect Fix: Envelopes are orphaned after undoing track effect bin Delete Effect Fix: [Regression] Track Inspector flickers and draws after the main app window is drawn when opening a project Fix: Control Bar appears cut off when switching back from a new workspace 2022.11 Highlights Behavior changes The Use MMCSS option in Edit > Preferences > Audio - Playback and Recording now excludes setting MMCSS for ASIO drivers by default. If your ASIO driver supports MMCSS by default, no action is needed. If your ASIO driver has an MMCSS option in its control panel, you need to explicitly enable it now to get MMCSS performance from the driver. If MMCSS isn't supported, you can explicitly select Enable MMCSS for ASIO Driver to get MMCSS performance from the driver. To check if the driver is running in MMCSS mode, hover over the performance toolbar and it should show the Audio Thread Priority as "Realtime". If it shows "Time Critical" or something else, try enabling MMCSS for the driver. New Features and Improvements Replace audio effect You can now replace audio effects from track effect bins. To do so, right-click an effect and select Replace Audio FX, then select the desired effect. You can use quick grouping to replace all instances of the same effect in all selected tracks. To do so, hold down the CTRL key while choosing the replacement effect. In order to also replace plugins found inside FX Chains, hold down CTRL+SHIFT. Improved MIDI clip controller rendering To improve legibility, MIDI controller events are now drawn darker and behind note events in MIDI clips. You can also show/hide controller events by clicking the Track view View menu and selecting Display > Show MIDI Controller Events. Navigate to Arranger sections via context menu You can right-click the Show/Hide Arranger Inspector button to access a list of all sections in the active Arranger track. This allows you to quickly navigate to sections without having to open the Arranger inspector. Optionally send Send All Notes Off message to VST plug-ins Using certain VST plugins can result in stuck notes after playback stops. You can now optionally send "All Notes Off" messages to all VST plugins when the transport stops, by enabling Send All-Notes-Off Messages on Stop in Edit > Preferences > File - VST Settings. This option is off by default to avoid incurring delays when stopping playback when using many virtual instruments. Added preference for enabling/disabling MMCSS for ASIO drivers This allows you to enable MMCSS (multimedia time critical threads) independently from the ASIO driver state. According to the ASIO specification, drivers are recommended to run in MMCSS mode by default. If you wish Cakewalk to manage the drivers MMCSS mode, check the "Enable MMCSS for ASIO Driver" option. Note: This option defaults to off, to avoid conflicts with drivers that already manage their internal MMCSS state. This is a change in behavior from past versions, so if your ASIO driver has an MMCSS option in its control panel, you need to explicitly enable it now to get MMCSS performance from the driver. To enable MMCSS for ASIO drivers, select Enable MMCSS for ASIO Driver in Edit > Preferences > Audio - Playback and Recording. Note: Some drivers default to MMCSS off in their control panel. If you wish to use MMCSS for these drivers, you will need to manually enable it in the driver control panel or enable this new option in Cakewalk. Performance module shows audio thread priority The audio thread priority is now displayed in the Control Bar's Performance module tooltip, which can be useful for troubleshooting purposes. If the main audio thread is running in MMCSS mode, the tooltip should read like this: Note: If the tooltip shows "Time Critical" when MMCSS is enabled in ASIO mode, it's possible that the driver is not using MMCSS, or has set up MMCSS incorrectly. Bug fixes Drag and drop of audio from track with patch point crashes Crash when trying to open project with incomplete event archive (audio events with no filename saved) Crash deleting instrument track with Spitfire Audio BBC Symphony Orchestra Application can crash on load with certain track templates Loading a project while another one was open could result in incorrect tempo being displayed in tempo track Regression: Mono hardware outputs always output as stereo Tracks sourced from aux track L/R/S always show a stereo record meter when armed Second export of Mix Recall tasks has unexpected error Previous MIDI loop takes can be heard during comping and/or Auto Punch+Mute Previous Takes Overlapping Arranger sections when moving section with overwrite on empty project Opening a project that is already open causes the document modified state to be cleared and re-initializes the open project Bouncing with selected aux tracks alone doesn't automatically include sources routed to the aux track, leading to silent output Now time should not be set during Arranger move/resize operations during playback Multi-dock draws incorrectly, and views do not open after opening certain projects Clip Map fails to draw correctly on AudioSnap clips Offset tempo map loses resolution Browser collapsed state fails to persist when opening project Incorrect docked view order after project load Primary audio thread not running at MMCSS priority in WASAPI mode Undo delete effect doesn't restore MIDI Input enabled state

Improved MIDI clip controller rendering To improve legibility, MIDI controller events are now drawn darker and behind note events in MIDI clips. I'm not getting anywhere as a YouTuber. Sure, I'll have 1000 subscribers by March or April (currently 953) , but you need 4000 yearly hours and I only have 3000 hours. And even if I had 4000 hours, it might make me a YouTube partner, but I'd still be nowhere. The problem is that I spend weeks making videos. So I'm switching to something I can do effortlessly so I can do more of them. So yes, it's not music software, but maybe you will find my behind-the-scenes showbiz stories interesting. I'll also be talking about movie marketing, which may be helpful to some musicians trying to figure out how to promote themselves. Let me know Larry, if it's out of line for me to put future ones here. But I feel like everybody here is a friend and they might be willing to follow me even into non-musical activities.

On the plus side, I reckon that rather than being "over" this will lead to something of a renaissance of it's use by the many, many people who already have it and have had it for so many years that they have largely forgotten all about it in favour of the newer, shinier things that have come their way, They will fall in love with it all over again.... Because, as we know....... Wait for it..... A little longer...... Absynth makes the heart grow fonder. No, you get your coat.

We're pleased to announce Early Access for 2022.06! This release introduces Mackie control surface improvements, loop and punch record enhancements, key binding to render Region FX, support for local help, in-app update improvements, plus various enhancements and bug fixes for user reported issues. We'd love for you to check it out before we drop the official public version. Please note that Early Access installers are update installers, which only update from a specific version. To install the 2022.06 Early Access build, you must be on the latest public release of 2022.02. Download Cakewalk 2022.06 EA installer Download Cakewalk Offline Help installer Should you need to revert to the 2022.02 release, you can download the Cakewalk 2022.02 Rollback installer. If you haven't already done so, please read about the Early Access Program before participating. Please keep responses specific to problems or comments on this release. Unrelated bugs or feature requests should be posted in other threads or the feature request channel. Thanks again for your participation! The Bakers Updated to 28.06.0.022 This build contains the following additional improvements: In-app update improvements: Cakewalk now supports in-app download of optional content that was previously only available from either BandLab Assistant or the Cakewalk Web installer (Studio Instruments Suite, Drum Replacer, Melodyne trial, Theme Editor, and demo projects). To see all available updates, select Help > Check for Updates. If any optional content has not been installed yet, or an update is available, Cakewalk presents a toast notification to download and install the content. Add file name to the download progress toast notification so users know what is being downloaded. Display error message when attempting to download multiple updates or checking for updates while one is in progress. Hang when trying to sign in to BandLab. Guard against crashes with toast notifications. Cakewalk should disable the options for Audio to MIDI conversion if Melodyne is not installed. Muting Melodyne clip in take lanes causes clip to disappear. Move To Folder context menu command moves tracks in incorrect order. Track Folder echo button status incorrect when active track is an audio track. Updated to 28.06.0.013 This build contains the following additional improvements: Render Region FX key binding not available in English version. Cubase mode not being recalled in Mackie Control surface dialog. Shelf tool does not work with multiple clips in the same lane. Null pointer when trying to drag move range selection in project. Tempo track wiped after drag copy section in user project. Incorrect tempo at beginning of committed arrangement in user project. Unable to enter "+" character for markers when using non-US keyboard. Mackie control surface improvements The Mackie Control surface includes several new enhancements. New compatibility modes In addition to the recommended Cakewalk/SONAR mode, the Mackie Control surface now supports two extra emulation modes that can be used if your control surface does not provide a dedicated Cakewalk/SONAR mode: Mackie Control Universal (Universal Mode). Emulates Mackie’s default button layout. Mackie Control Universal (Cubase Mode). Emulates Mackie’s Cubase/Nuendo button layout. It is important that both Cakewalk and your control surface are configured to use the same mode in order to ensure that buttons on the control surface map to the correct functions in Cakewalk. Note: If your control surface provides a Cakewalk/SONAR mode, we recommend using this mode to provide maximum compatibility. Disable Handshake now checked by default Earlier versions of the Mackie Control protocol required a handshake during the initialization of the control surface. Mackie removed this requirement in later versions. To reflect this change, the Disable Handshake option is now checked by default to bypass the handshake process. Note: You may have to uncheck Disable Handshake on older devices when using the Cakewalk/SONAR mode. Performance enhancement Routing and track/bus ordering are now cached internally in order to avoid unnecessary repeated calculations during the control surface refresh process. This results in improved UI performance when using a very fast refresh rate. The cache is reset every time the routing or track ordering changes, and then rebuilt again on the next query from the control surface. Automatically extend final take when loop recording in Comping mode When loop recording in Comping mode , the last take now automatically extends to the loop end time if more than one loop iteration was recorded. This prevents previous takes from being split at the transport stop time, and makes comping much easier because each take is a complete clip. Note: If you loop record in Comping mode and also have auto punch Extend Takes to Punch Out Time enabled, then the last take will be extended to whichever occurs first: loop end or punch out time. Old behavior (incomplete last take and split clips): New behavior (complete last take and no split clips): Option to automatically extend final take when punch recording When Auto Punch recording, Cakewalk automatically splits all takes at the position where you stop recording. This happens if the transport is stopped before the punch out time. This behavior may not be desirable in some cases, such as when speed comping, where you want each take to be a complete clip. To prevent this behavior, Cakewalk now provides an option to extend the final take to the Auto Punch end. Right-click the Record button to open the Preferences dialog box, then enable Extend Takes to Punch Out Time. Note: The Extend Takes to Punch Out Time option also requires that Auto Punch is enabled. Option to open parent track folder when changing track focus The Track view Options menu contains a new Expand Track Folder on Track Focus option, which automatically opens the focused track’s parent folder if it’s currently closed. This behavior may be desirable when using control surfaces or changing track focus via the Console view. Key binding to render Region FX A new key binding named Render Region FX allows you to render any Region FX for any active Region FX in the current clip selection. You can assign the key binding in Edit > Preferences > Customization - Keyboard Shortcuts (under Area: Global Bindings). Support for local help Cakewalk provides optional local help. To enable local help, go to Edit > Preferences > File - Advanced and select Always Use Local Help. When you enable local help for the first time, Cakewalk presents a toast notification to download and install the local help, and whenever updated local help is available. If your computer is not connected to the internet, Cakewalk will default to showing local help until an internet connection becomes available. Note: Offline help is only available in English. Tip: If you would like to use local help on a computer that is never connected to the internet, first download the local help from another computer that is connected to the internet, then copy the CakewalkHelp_Documentation_1.0.0.n.exe installer (found in \Downloads\Cakewalk) to removable media that you can transfer to your offline Cakewalk computer. Alternatively, copy the installed Cakewalk.chm file from the Cakewalk root folder (default is \Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core). Issues resolved in Cakewalk 2022.06 EA (build 28.06.0.008) Cakewalk will now install to ARM64 PCs running Windows 11 for ARM WarnSilentBuses config setting should default to off Flushing during bounce occurs with plugins on buses that are not part of the signal chain Export Arranger sections not working properly when project has locked clips Resizing Arranger sections should be able to snap to other sections Committed arrangement off by 1 tick / losing first note Corrupt tempo map when CTRL+drag copy section with only one tempo present Cakewalk External Controller API problem causing Cakewalk GUI to freeze External encoder presets not being picked up / stored properly

MY LIST OF PERSONALLY RECOMMEDED FREE SAMPLE LIBRARIES THAT WORK IN FREE SAMPLE PLAYERS and FREE SOFT SYTNHS Finding free sample libraries is easy these days. Finding really high quality sample libraries is a lot more challenging. It commonly means sorting through a lot of -- I'll be kind -- less than great sample libraries. That's why I thought it would be helpful to the community to create a curated list of RECOMMEDED free sample libraries that play in a free sample players. That's right, everything sample library in this list is totally free -- no strings attached -- and plays in a totally free sample library player. I've only included KONTAKT sample libraries that work in the FREE KONTAKT Player. My list only includes libraries that I have used and find worthy of recommendation. Now, many of these libraries, while very good to excellent, still aren't at the same level as a high end, meticulously detailed and ingeniously scripted sample library. But that level of detail may not even matter for your purposes anyhow. Some of the piano libraries on this list are, IMO, as good as commercial (paid) sample libraries. Some have a charm that I find more important than detail. I invite others to do the same and post libraries that play in free sample players that you have used and can personally recommend. I will update this list from time to time and welcome suggestions for making it more convenient for people (I would have links for all of the Pianobook libraries, and will update it adding links in the future, but I was running out of time today and thought, since a couple of forum members had an interest in it, I would get it up ASAP. ⭐ =Highly recommended favorites. ⭐ ⭐ =My highest recommendation. RECOMMENDED FREE SOFT SYNTHS Vital ⭐⭐ VItal is a free spectral warping wavetable synth and it is superb. I like it better than most of my paid synths. If you use soft synths, this is a must have, a total no-brainer. There is a paid version for $25 USD with 250 presets and another version for $80 USD with more than 400 presets. All of them are well recommended by the community. But the free version works with third-party presets that you can find at the site's forum and all over the interwebs. Just stop right now and get this! https://vital.audio/ Surge XT ⭐⭐ While Vital is my absolute favorite free soft synth, and maybe my favorite soft synth period, Surge is my second favorite free soft synth. It is a hybrid synthesizer. Roger Linn uses it -- and you can get it for free. Why are you still reading this??? Just get it!!! https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/ Helm ⭐⭐ A great sounding virtual analog synth. https://tytel.org/helm/ Pendulate ⭐⭐ All things music related are subjective, but monosynth just sounds great to my ears and if you don't agree, you're clearly wrong. https://www.eventideaudio.com/plug-ins/pendulate/ Dexed FM Plugin Synth ⭐ A soft synth closely modeled on the Yamaha DX7. The drums are hit softly using Promark Broomsticks, which gives a sound like when a rock drummer plays hard with brushes, giving the drums a thwack type sound! I think these would be very useful for indie or folk rock. FORMAT: DECENT SAMPLER https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/soft-drums/ Originals Drums and VIntage Drums ⭐ ⭐ I love the sound of the Originals drum library. FORMAT: DECENT SAMPLER https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/worlitzer/ Wurli A modest Wurli library. FORMAT: FREE KONTAKT PLAYER https://heavyocity.com/product/foundations-nylon-guitar/ Ample Guitar M Lite ⭐ I don't actually use this, as I primarily use Orange Tree Samples libraries and sometimes supplement them with NI's Session Guitarist when I'm first working on a song. But I have tried it and can recommend it as a free instrument. It's an excellent quality free plugin/sample library and in my experience, it's the best quality free acoustic guitar library available. FORMAT: DEVELOPER'S FREE PROPRIETARY PLAYER https://www.amplesound.net/en/pro-pd.asp?id=7 Ample Bass P Lite ⭐ For sampled electric and acoustic bass guitars, I'm completely set with Orange Tree Samples libraries, but I have tried this out and think for free, it's the best quality free electric bass library that I am aware of. FORMAT: DEVELOPER'S FREE PROPRIETARY PLAYER https://www.amplesound.net/en/pro-pd.asp?id=19 IK MODO Bass ⭐ This isn't a sample library, it's a modeled bass plugin, but it sounds very good, and is lightweight. It emulates a 1960's Fender Precision Bass. FORMAT: DEVELOPER'S FREE PROPRIETARY PLAYER https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/modobass2/?pkey=modo-bass-2-cs MELLOTRON Plogue Sforzatron (Mellotron Sample Library) ⭐ ⭐ Some of the most popular Mellotron samples including cello, celli, strings, flute, woodwind sections, string sections, choir, pads, koto, and steel drums. The sample libraries were taken from the fantastic and freely distributed Taji Guy Mellotron samples that have been available online for two decades. This is easily as good as a commercial Mellotron library. In fact, if this wasn't free and I paid, say $35 USD for the library, I would be extremely satisfied with my purchase. This is one of my all time favorite freebies. FORMAT: Sforzando https://www.plogue.com/products/sforzando-banks.html ORCHESTRAL BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover ⭐ ⭐ A complete orchestra that sounds very good. It's not up to the level of a paid high end orchestral library, but it's amazingly good for a completely free orchestral library and it is pretty small in size in terms of data and won't tax on your computer resources. FORMAT: DEVELOPER'S FREE PROPRIETARY PLAYER https://www.spitfireaudio.com/bbc-symphony-orchestra-discover The Free Orchestra by PROJECTSAM ⭐ ⭐ A collection of orchestral related libraries including a choir, strings, and organ. FORMAT: FREE KONTAKT PLAYER https://sonuscore.com/shop/free-pipe-organ/ Sonokinetic Carousel Organ ⭐ ⭐ If you want a carousel organ, you're in luck! It sounds great and it's a lot of fun to play around with. FORMAT: FREE KONTAKT PLAYER https://www.sonokinetic.net/products/instruments/carousel/ Collab3 ⭐ This is a Hammond B3 emulation and I snuck this in because I picked this up a while back and just thought it was really good for a free B3 emulation with a Leslie rotary speaker effect. B3 perfectionists won't be satisfied, but it sounds really good and for the price (free), I don't think anything matches it. Listen to it yourself. FORMAT: LABS PLAYER (SPITFIRE) https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/?sortBy=prod_products_labs_latest Cello Moods ⭐⭐ While this library -- and none of the Originals libraries -- have a bunch of velocity layers I would expect in a paid library, it sounds beautiful and for a free library, is well worth having. FORMAT: LABS PLAYER (SPITFIRE) https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/?types=strings&sortBy=prod_products_labs_latest Originals Scary Strings, Frozen Strings, Amplified Cello Quartet, Artic Swells, Tape Orchestra, Harmonic Flights ⭐⭐ These are all interesting and worth downloading, IMO, I think I bought some of these back when they were selling for $5USD each and if they were back at $5 each, I would still recommend them. FORMAT: LABS PLAYER (SPITFIRE) https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/?sortBy=prod_products_labs_latest Arturia Augmented Strings ⭐⭐ EXPIRED A combination of real and synth strings with some very cool arpeggios and effects. FORMAT: DECENT SAMPLER https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/vintage-glockenspiel/ Yamaha Glockenspiel ⭐ A nice sounding glockenspiel with every note sampled and two dynamic layers. If you like the sound of music boxes, just get it. FORMAT: FREE KONTAKT PLAYER https://www.soniccouture.com/en/products/p43-music-boxes/ Wineglass Tool Kit ⭐ This is much more than straight wine glass samples. The samplist created 5 patches from samples of wine glasses: melodic ‘ping’; a soft pad; a set of percussive sounds; a synth; and a textural pad. FORMAT: DECENT SAMPLER https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/wine-glass-tool-kit/ Gentle Vibes ⭐ ⭐ A well sampled vibraphone played softly with soft, medium and hard mallets. I am a sucker for a nice vibraphone or glockenspiel library and this is very nice. FORMAT: DECENT SAMPLER https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/gentle-vibes/ Spring Chimes ⭐ ⭐ This is glorious library takes 14 existing Pianobook bell and mallet libraries and layers them together and the result is absolutely wonderful. FORMAT: DECENT SAMPLER https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/schulmerich-handbells/ MULTIPLE INSTRUMENT PACKAGES These are multiple sample libraries from a developer that include a different sampled instruments. Native Instruments KOMPLETE START ⭐ If you’re on a tight budget or no budget, download this. If you don’t have anything from Native Instruments, you need to! FORMAT: DEVELOPER'S FREE PROPRIETARY PLAYER https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/bundles/komplete-start/ Sonixinema Assorted freebies - vocals, cello, acoustic bass, violin, medicine drum... I really like the libraries these developer makes. It's all high quality. I recommend downloading and installing every freebie the developer makes . These freeibies are mini libraries, patches from their commercial libraries intended to give you a taste of the commercial library so that you'll want to buy it -- and you may find the formula works. But even if you never buy any of their paid libraries, these are really nice and worth downloading and installing. FORMAT: DEVELOPER'S FREE PROPRIETARY PLAYER https://www.orchestraltools.com/store/get-sine FREE SAMPLE LIBRARIES FROM PIANOBOOK Pianobook has many KONTAKT (paid version) free mutisample libraries and Decent Sampler (free) mutisample sample libraries. I wanted to create a list of their free Decent Sampler libraries I think are worth recommending. I’ll start by saying that these are often smaller, simpler sample libraries than the ones made for KONTAKT. First, I would recommend downloading every one of the free sample libraries from the developer who makes Decent Sampler. He’s talented and his videos are very, very good. If you’re not familiar with Decent Sampler, it’s a free mutisampler plugin. It’s not as sophisticated as KONTAKT, it’s just a nice, simple sampler that plays multisample libraries. https://www.decentsamples.com/product-category/publishers/decent-samples/ Free Decent Sampler Formated Sample Libraries on Pianobook I made this list when going through each library opened in my DAW, so you’ll need to search Pianobook to find them. Simply use the site’s search function with the library name. I’ll try to update this later and add links in the future. Soft String Spurs Dan Keen ⭐ ⭐ A collection of three beautiful viola libraries. I use the KONTAKT version. IMO, one of the best string libraries on Pianobook, if not the best. https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/soft-string-spurs/ Busy Bee Analog Oscilator A nice simple analog synth patch, actually two, one is lofi and I like it. Cassette Tape Organ A lofi organ that is only usually for slow parts because the attack is so delayed. But I love lofi sounds and it simply sounds cool to my ears. Distant Brass This isn’t a realistic sounding brass library, it’s very lofi and I think it’s pretty cool. I don’t do hip hop music, I sound bad enough singing rock, but if I did do hip hop, I think this could be especially useful. Classic Dance Synth This is your classic 80s House Piano sound. If that’s what you’re looking for, download and install this. Cream Soda Atmos Pad Antoher very pad that I like that has a very slow attac. Firefly Strings A thick analog strings sound that seems to be mixed with a pipe organ and I’m a sucker for pipe organs. Guffland Ukulele This isn’t an Orange Tree Samples kind of detailed sample library. It’s very simple. But the ukulele has a lovely tone. Harpsimachord ⭐ I greatly prefer the KONTAKT version of this, but I love this blended harpsichord. It’s really different and love this library. It works. Ideal Bouzouki Nice, simple. Worth installing. Multiple articulations. I love the plucked and fingered patch. If you’re not concerned about emulating the sampled instrument, the plucked and fingered patch has a harpsichord like quality about it. Lorenzo’s Drums ⭐ A must download. No, this isn’t a detailed sample library. But it is a really well done sample library and the tone of the drums are really good. I’m not as in love with the cymbal samples and the opening and closing of the hi hat needs work, but whoever did this, did an excellent job. Try it. Melodic Ping - Wine Glass Tool Kit Nicely sampled wine glass hits. Mini African Xylophone True to its name. A nice little library. Mixing Bowl ⭐ It sounds cool. It’s bold. It’s fun. I like it. Musical Stones It’s basically a xylophone featuring stones. It’s nice but the samples are a bit noisy. Still I like the character of the tone of the instrument and the noise doesn’t put me off as I see it as a bit lofi. New House Choir A lofi choir patch reminiscent of 10CC’s “I’m Not in Love” vocal pads but more church choir-ish. Prepared Staccota Cartoon Piano Does what is says on the tin. (Okay, I’m not British, but I’ve managed globally and made and still have friends there, does that count?) Reel to Reel Tape Piano Think lofi Mellotron piano. This is a pretty good approximation of that. Rob’s Andean Quena Flute Think lofi Mellotron flute. I really like this. Saraswati Vena Simple, nice. I like it. Shivering Keys A really interesting lofi analog piano that almost sounds like it could work in a horror soundtrack, but I think it’s slightly too sweet for that. Shivering Waves A lofi pad that sounds a bit like Shivering Keys in a pad. Signals Sound effects that are perfect for sci-fi. St Kathrin’s Bell It sounds great, like a church bell. But there’s a lot of noise in the samples. Synimer ⭐ A very 80s/synthwave type pad that sounds very good. I don’t know the song, but it sounds a lot like the synth pad from one of the songs in the 80s movie, “Breakfast Club.” Timpani Hits Nicely sampled, good sounding timpani hits. Triple Felt Experiment ⭐ ⭐ A beautiful sounding felt piano from Spitfire’s Christian Henson. Isometra Venus Theory ⭐ It comes from a talented patch maker and YouTuber and it’s a distorted analogy electric piano-ish library and I like it a lot and the GUI lets you easily modify the library and I have gotten good results very quickly. Well done. Organic Orchestra Venus Theory ⭐ A slow attack pad with a sound that seems like rain. It basically sounds like you’re in a rain forest. It’s very new-age-ish. Dead serious, if you’re into ASMR or looking for the kinds of sounds that you here in the music while playing Mindcraft, this would be a really good choice. Malevolence Venus Theory ⭐ Just my opinion, but I would recommend downloading everything Venus Theory uploads. He’s talented. This contains synth pads and basses and it’s good. Yamaha Grand Palm Mute If you’re looking for grand piano palm mutes, you should enjoy these. RJS Electric Guitar ⭐ A sampled Stratocaster electric guitar with the following patches: long notes with vibrato, palm muted notes, dead notes and feedback. Impressive. https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/rjs-guitar/ FREE LIBRARIES FOR THE FULL VERSION OF KONTAKT Deagan Vibraharp Vibraphone ⭐ This is a beautiful sounding vibraphone that is beautifully sampled by one of the most talented sample developers on Pianobook. It is as good as a commercial (paid) vibraphone sample library and I even like it better than some of the vibraphone sample libraries I've bought. https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/deagan-vibraharp-vibraphone/ Resonator Glockenspiel ⭐ I love the glockenspiel and this is a well done small glockenspiel library. https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/randonspiel/ Soft String Textures ⭐⭐ A beautiful sample library featuring a solo violin, viola and cello. The sasmplist is Dan Keen from Spitfire, and when he puts up a library at Pianobook, it's an instant download for me. https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/soft-string-textures/ This list will be regularly updated.

New in Version 5.3 The update to Version 5.3 contains improvements and bug fixes, which is why we recommend it to all users. Moreover, Melodyne 5.3 is required for ARA integration into Pro Tools 2022.09. New features and improvements Surround: In both ARA and Transfer modes, Melodyne can now also be used for the editing of tracks in the standard surround formats. ARA in Pro Tools: Melodyne 5.3 comes with all the technical prerequisites for ARA integration into Pro Tools from Version 2022.09 upwards and thus makes a significantly improved workflow in Pro Tools possible. Preferences: When Melodyne is employed for the first time as a plug-in, it loads the set of keyboard shortcuts corresponding to the DAW you are using. Bug fixes Recording: In the stand-alone implementation of Melodyne, you can now also use a recording device with a mono input (e.g. a MacBook microphone). ARA in Cubase: When moving an ARA event to a track that is not selected, the selection in Melodyne is now retained. Pro Tools: The position of the playback cursor in Melodyne is now correctly updated even when playback is stopped. AAX in Pro Tools: When bouncing/committing, Melodyne now correctly evaluates the offline setting. The Correct Pitch macro: When the macro was applied to a very large number of notes simultaneously, Melodyne would sometimes freeze. This no longer happens. Preferences: Previously, in ARA mode, the keyboard shortcut for “Playback Selection” was erroneously listed under “Others” instead of under “Transport Bar”. This has been fixed. The Note Inspector: The input field for Sibilant Balance now reliably accepts input even when multiple tracks are being edited simultaneously. ARA in Cakewalk by Bandlab: Under certain circumstances, Melodyne would crash when loading a session. This has been fixed. Ableton Live: The cause of random crashes when Melodyne was running in Live 11.1.1 under macOS Monterey on a Mac with an M1 chip has been detected and eliminated. Note editing: The “Restore Original” commands in the Edit menu now behave more consistently in the stand-alone implementation, in the Transfer plug-in and under ARA.

The plugin is part of the OneKnob Series and is called: FU. The higher you turn the knob, the more non-Waves plugins it deletes from your system. It uses advanced AI to also deregister the deleted plugins from your online accounts so you can't reinstall them. It also comes with 50 years of WUP: Waves Uninstall Program! I was a beta-tester and can report that it works flawlessly. Unfortunately it also deleted my DAW, so I'm kinda screwed. Oh well, it was free after all. Buyer be Waves. 😱

Whoo, it's finally there! I've been editing Wikipedia for years but had never created an original article. Quite the learning experience. I also went around to the various lists of audio software and company pages and updated them to link to this article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cakewalk_by_BandLab
