I have recently discovered Coyote MIDI. I use my nanoKONTROL not only for MIDI CC but as a sort of Streamdeck style hotkey setup for my livestreaming. I had been using another application to do the MIDI CC to Keystrokes but Coyote MIDI far surpasses it in functionality. Not only does it do a great job with MIDI CC to Keystrokes, but it also includes as Live MIDI RECORDER that is listening in the background and captures any MIDI going into it. So when you are just playing something, it captures it so you will not lose those moments of inspiration. There is a lot more that they have in mind as the application matures and they are in need of more testers to help kick the tires so to speak so if this is something you might be interested in, take a look at the website and download the FREE beta. There is also an active Discord server that is a great way to keep in touch. Enjoy: CoyoteMIDI // MIDI to Key Command Utility for Windows2 points

Don't know why this ticks me off like it does, but... -- begin rant -- This is already one of my least favorite sites to shop at because it's so tedious to navigate. Then throw in all gimmicky sales type stuff and it's just irritating. It's easy - make a good product and give your consumer a price. Even have an occasional sale. This is a total "bait and switch" - used car dealer BS. Quit playing these stupid games. You're losing customers. -- end rant -- I have a new code: L8TRJST2 points

This should be titled the Summer Meh. I can't see people biting when many developers bought into the $29 offerings.2 points

One should frame this on their wall. It's an easy pass since I no longer keep UVI on my systems. I also think Sampletekk sale is going on.2 points

Swiftly moving past the fact you have 666 responses. Only for the fact that I am about to upgrade to Komplete 13 in order to get Noire. I had no idea this sounds as good as it did.2 points

That was nice! ?? I'm just shocked that Bapu has a son who looks like he's in his 70's (judging by his beard)! ?2 points

Regular price for Ethera Gold Lite is 13$, so not much to get from that. Since I already have Ethera Gold 2.5 full version, I asked to get instead the Ethera Studio One 5 package that is less expensive than that and they allowed the swap.2 points

What fresh hell is this? They have no option to sign in using your own email address. Looks like they force you to give up access to Google, Facebook or Twitter to get an account. Which may or may not have any connection to your T&S purchases.2 points

Hi, It would be great if Cakewalk fully optimized the Matrix view, with options to record and edit audio and Midi such is in Ableton Live. Essentially having a clip launcher inside Cakewalk the same way Digital Performer incorporated it in their update to DP10. This would be useful for not only performance but brainstorming and trying ideas before the Arranger stage. In the Matrix view, you can have clips of different lengths playing together giving it far more flexibility when mixing different ideas together on the fly. the timeline gets very messy having so many different ideas scattered about, having a pool of cells and scenes to choose from is much neater and would improve workflow tremendously. It could also work nicely to convert your Matrix scenes to arranger tabs and build from there. If each cell opened up either a piano roll clip or an audio clip in which you could edit them further and include the clip automation, that would be highly effective. Thanks, Paul1 point

Hello! I'm new here but I've used Cakewalk for a while, even when it calls Sonar. This is my latest song :1 point

I would love to be able to route the output of a MIDI track to more than just one synth. Natively, without the need for external loopback software. As it stands, the only way to get this result is either to use a synth that includes a MIDI thru function or to duplicate your MIDI tracks. The most obvious use case for this is only needing to edit one MIDI track no matter how many synths are playing in unison (yes, I know about linked clips, but they add complexity, as does using an external MIDI splitter). Secondarily, there is screen clutter reduction, and not getting mixed up as to which MIDI track is going to which synth. (If anyone knows of a MIDI plug-in that can accomplish this, please tell me)1 point

Yepes is not using the Extra strings in the Song posted above. He has been using the strings by playing special classic arrangements on the 10 string guitar. The 10-string Guitar of Narciso Yepes (Part I): Tuning & Resonance ('Overtones'); Fritz Buss 19/35 Robert Dickinson | "Le Sang d'Isolde" | Viktor van Niekerk, 10-string guitar Claudio Monteverdi | "Si dolce è'l tormento" | Viktor van Niekerk, 10-string guitar1 point

T&S have allow me to swap in the past as well. Too bad I already have everything Ethera. On the other hand, I am not unhappy I have everything Ethera.1 point

None that I recall. I believe Cakewalk bundled the original Stutter Edit in a SONAR promotion years ago.1 point

Kind of a drag the base octave setting is global without an ability to override at the plug-in or track level. Maybe it will be part of the new note names feature.1 point

Vintage Modern! Or is it modern vintage? Either way, this would have fit right in with my record collection circa 1978 alongside Larry Fast and Vangelis. Although I guess you'd need to crank the reverb to 11 to compete with the latter. All that Oberheim silkiness makes me smile.1 point

Hey Wookiee . . . super cool, and you've really got control on this one . . . melody with filter is very well done, overall well mixed . . . you are the synthmeister.1 point

Do you have any experience with scripting or programming? If so, autohotkey may provide a solution.1 point

If they show in the audio folder in an easily recognizable order then I would just drag and drop them from the browser. Dragging them from the track pane would be crazy if there is actually 100 tracks.1 point

Interesting problem. I would probably do it with key strokes. I think i have ctl+shift+h as go-to end of selected clip. I would use this and just click fast. If i had to do it more than once, I'm not sure what I'd do. What happens if you drag multiple clips from widows explorer to a single track?1 point

FYI. EZXes that require EZDrummer v1 or higher are 16-bit libraries. Ones that require EZD v2 or higher are 24-bit libraries.1 point

Enable LOOPER loopback racks on the ASIO Link Pro Tool. Then you can connect your ASIO host in mix channels to the LOOPER Outs, and the LOOPER Ins to your ASIO Driver Out 1, 2 ... or just modify the Output device of the track/instrument sending its data to channel 5, 6 to channel 1, 2?1 point

I cross graded to get Nuendo (instead of upgrading and losing my Cubase license). In hindsight it was a dumb move. Nuendo is Cubase + extra video/film and game features. The only difference is Cubase seems to get earlier 0.5 updates but Nuendo catches up pretty quickly. They do seem to be trying to keep them in sync more than they have in the past. As for support, I'd imagine Nuendo support is slightly better, but I've yet to see it in practice. All things considered though, I've stopped updating my Cubase license. If selling it wasn't such a pain, I'd most likely just sell it off. If you are only doing music/audio then Cubase is awesome, you don't need Nuendo. But if you are doing anything with video/film/games getting Nuendo instead of Cubase may be a good idea. Though to be honest I think I could easily live with just Cubase even for film/video/game work. That said, lately with Cakewalk adding expression maps I've kind of stopped using Nuendo and went back to Cakewalk. Cakewalk's video support is pretty weak though, but I understand it and can live with it. Not like I'm outputting video with any of these apps really.1 point

As has been stated already Cubase = Music Production Nuendo = Film/Post Production Samplitude = Music Production Sequoia = Film/Post Production Pro Tools = Music Production Media Composer = Film/Post Production It's a common theme, and scheme, among the "heavy players"... The bottom line is that the latter of each is "more expensive" due to their ability to "do more" for the intended market. So, if your sole intent is "producing music" then Cubase, Samplitude, Pro Tools, etc..would be all you need. However, if you intend on doing "Film Scoring/Post Production" work, then Nuendo, Sequoia, Media Composer is the vehicle those who do such work prefer to "ride in".... Can you do that in the others? YES - but with limited functionality in that regards, but that's really not what they are intended for.1 point

I enjoyed this track. Reminds me of Roger-less Floyd, which wasn't Floyd but the vibe in this song is definitely there. Nice work. A nice compressed solo would help kick it towards Total Floydism! Thanks for sharin, Timbo1 point

Had a MB Badlander 50. Crunch was fantastic. Onboard Cabclone IR sounded very good The internal fan was LOUD... to the point I couldn't deal with it. Otherwise, it was a fantastic amp... and (compared to Friedman, DR-Z, ec) reasonably priced. Had a DR-Z CAZ-45. It's billed as a high-gain amp. If this makes any sense, it's extremely well built... but... (to me) just didn't have any umph (insert your favorite adjective for "balls"). I'm generally into modded-marshall (gain wise). Wanted to love the CAZ-45... but just didn't care for it. DR-Z is located here in OH, has a great reputation, etc. Wound up with a BE-100 Deluxe, Bogner Shiva, and 20th Bogner Shiva. Of course, this was during the height of Covid. What in the world was I thinking buying 50-60 pound heads? Nothing at all "practical" about them. ?1 point

Can not say it reminds me of Pink FLoyd in anyway. Nice enough track but not Pink in anyway.1 point

This is typically how I'd do this: If I'm doing this in an existing project, I'll normally pick some blank space after end of the project (say 16 measures after the end). I'll add a tempo change at that point, setting it to the slow tempo, record the track, then cut/paste the clip into the part where it's playing the faster tempo. Then I'll use CTRL+SHIFT to stretch it to fit... and try to remember to delete the tempo change I added at the end!1 point
