If only you were privy to the figures of what we've sold for AmpliTube 5 from release until now (well I report on it weekly so I know off the top of my head as of through last Thursday... and there are a lot of digits. To the left of the decimal.). I hope IK doesn't occupy so much real estate in your mind for a long time, that seems unhealthy. I probably shouldn't point out how successful a product is selling as it probably makes that plot of real estate grow even more, but unfortunately I must dispel such misinformation when I see it. If you need a mentor to also explain some of the marketing benefits of offers such as you see here with Thomann and IK, I suppose I could also spare some time but I'd also ask that you share exactly what issues you have with IK that cause an unhealthy obsession as a nice trade in kind.

Not sure if they will get rejected due to using "hardware names" Harmonics might help some, but when I do a/b tests against the PA MAAG EQ4 which I also have, the Air at 40K is certainly different in the way it lifts and then gradualy slides down the range but doesn't lift in the 2Kish range much. Hard to replicate when the EQ only lets you lift at 20K.

Yes - gainmatch. I hate the way some plug-ins pump the volume up - like black box. It is designed with way too much gain. It still sounds great. Gain match will show you the winners and losers in plug-ins. Watch out for plugin gainers, even a part of a db can be deceptive!

Hopefully not. I just picked up MADEQ a month ago and was my first attempt at multiparimeters so needs enough testing before sending them out. Many of the online presets are basically trash. I'm interested in creating "go to" options I'd actually use all the time.

You shouldn't need AmpliTube 4 installed, AmpliTube 5 will pick up what you have. I doubt it would end up unlimited, but I'm trying to get this policy reconsidered and changed in some way.

True story from me - my true claim to fame. Back in the 80s MTV was big. At that time Huey Lewis was very popular especially after Back to the Future. A friend of mine happened to get a part in a Huey Lewis music video. He ran into my room and grabbed a shirt from my closet. My shirt was worn by the central character (the nerd) in a Huey Lewis video that played frequently on MTV. That’s as close to fame as I’ve been.

I literally just used this while mixing last night. It's very useful and a steal of a deal and he is actively working on it. It could be a little more efficient. The old lady butted in and told the girl to think twice about getting the tattoo that she may later regret. The teen snapped back at her and asked, how would you know. She replied that once she was young, pretty and as slim as the teen was. She decided to get a bathing beauty in a bikini tattoo'd on her butt. Young girl said "So what?" The old lady dropped her pants right in public and showed the tattoo. As she gained weight over the years, the bathing beauty stretched and smeared as she gained weight. Not a pretty sight. Screensets are only applicable to that project. Open a different project and they are gone. Screensets are meant to be a quick-fix. You find you are swapping back and forth between 2 views while doing a particular task? And in 30 minutes when you are finished with that task the views become redundant? Use screensets. To save a screenset switch to another one. So, select Screenset 1. Set up your view. Click Screenset 2. Screenset 1 gets saved. Set up Screenset 2. Select Screenset 1. Screenset 2 gets saved. Now you can switch back and forth between the 2 views to your heart's content. And when you have finished that task you will never use those screensets again. Like strangers you bump into at the pub. While chatting you remember their names and which one has just taken his fog to the vet. The moment you walk out the door on your way home you forget them. You will never see them again. Screensets. But... While tracking do you ALWAYS want the Track Inspector closed, the Browser open? Define a Workspace called Tracking that is set up that way. Workspaces apply to all projects. Define Workspaces for Recording, Tracking, Mixing, Automating, Mastering. Set them up the way you like things to look. Then they are always there for you, with every project that you work on. Like old Fred and John that you join up with every Thursday night at the pub. Every Thursday you go through the same greeting rituals, the same taking turns in paying for rounds, play the same 3 games of darts. Workspaces. While with Fred and john you might start chatting to some guy who is in town for 3 days on a business trip. The 3 of you chat to him, he plays a game of darts with you. But after that you never see him again. He is a Screenshot. But next Thursday Fred and John will be there, same as usual, because they are Workspaces. And some other guy in town for the night joins you for the evening. But gone tomorrow. He was just a Screenshot.
