  1. Max, If you didn't post a link to the product, then you really didn't beat Larry. He beat you because he posted a link to software. You have to post a link to where folks can get the Deal. NO POINTS FOR YOU!!!

  4. If you're going to try & beat Larry you'll have to be very fast, precise and fairly brutal. He can undercut you with 3rd party special, eviscerate your post with a coupon code, shame you with direct link. This forum is littered with the bones of those that have tried to best him and failed. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

  7. I got banned because the Mod thought I was "Dealer" on KVR. He pulled my ban thanks to the guys here who went and griped about it in the forum! I even got banned from the Cakewalk forum because a guy tried to rip me off over on KVR, I came back over here and was talking about it, and he came over here calling me everything but a human, and then told the moderators I was lying and calling him names and they banned me. I was doing neither...and he didn't get banned. I got my money back from him thanx to Paypal, but I was madder than a wet hornet! LOL

  15. Michael, I strongly suggest reading through this if you haven't already: https://www.audioanimals.co.uk/news/quick-tips/everything-you-need-to-know-about-universal-audiou-uad-sales-tips-tricks-sale-dates Also, I don't look at their retail prices. Buying first what you need the most, regardless of the discounts is how I go about it. Then when you've made your short list: Buy the most expensive ones from that list if buying ''in the package' 3+1 or similar'. But you know that sooner or later you'll part with your money and get pretty much everything you (hopefully) need. This is to be considered and if you can afford it somehow, right now is a great time to jump up to bigger bundles... that is if you REALLY need those additional plugins, now or in the nearest foreseeable future. Kind of wish that less is more, is the ultimate truth... Perhaps in production process, but not at the buying stage ?

  17. Please log all operations to Edit > History. Especially, Moved fader or knob (the changed value) in the console because this can be accidentally changed with mouse wheel and can't remember what you did how much... It would be nice if you can undo it with Ctrl + Z. or... Add option to disable the value change with mouse wheel in the console view.

  20. I upgraded to Melodyne 5 yesterday (from Melodyne 4 Studio). The upgrade cost $149 AM and went flawlessly. (I don't use iLok). And yes, my Melodyne 4 was completely removed with the upgrade. Celemony says Melodyne 5 is backward-compatible and it does seem to be. I've had a chance to use it a bit. The sibilant handling is great and the dynamic fade capability (which was a long time coming, and one of Melodyne's big shortcomings)) is very welcome. Those were the two main reasons why I upgraded. The leveling macro looks good too and I can see it being useful. It will probably allow less reliance on a vocal follower. What I also like is the new algorithm that no longer relies on the average pitch of a note, but instead operates on the 'sweet spot' or the 'best pitched' section of the note. The theory is that certain parts of a note that are technically 'off pitch' do not need correction and are not perceived as a problem by the listener, but rather an essential part of the performance. So far, I give it a big thumbs up. However don't expect Celemony's slick video on chord manipulation (if you're using Editor or Studio) to go quite as smoothly as they portray. While it's a bit of a miracle what can be done with the polyphonic stuff, it's tricky to use. At least, I've found it to be. But then, I haven't used the polyphonic features all that much, even in Melodyne 4.

  22. On this one, I was going to replace the BIAB guitar part for this Bohemian Violin improv, but then I just went, "Why? I could play something similar, but it won't be as good." So I ask you, what guitar VIs sound as good as this? That little chord at the end. And they've got a zillion more performances on numerous instruments if you lay out the $$ for the PAKs. Not just pianos, bass, guitars, drums, but also cellos, mandolins, vocals, gypsy violins, celtic harps, saxophones, mandolins, harmonicas, synths, and a wide variety of percussion. It's a really big list and the combinations are endless. You can take all the "RealTracks" and combine them any way you want.

  31. Get Glary Utilities HERE (the free version is all you need). When you're installing, I recommend turning off all check-boxes. Once installed, feel free to go to the 1-Click Maintenance tab, select all the boxes you want (I usually select all of them except Tracks Eraser), and run an initial system check. Once that's done, go to the Advanced Tools tab, select Optimize & Improve and then Check Disk (this is just like your usual chkdsk except I've found it works better). I prefer to schedule the disk checks to occur during the next reboot to ensure nothing is accessing the drive. You'll want to check the two boxes at the bottom ("Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors"). Once the disk check has finished, try the Windows 10 update again. If it fails agin, it should give you an error code. If it does, post what it is. I've got ways to fix at least a couple of dozen of these. Good luck! ?‍♂️

  36. Well, that's exactly why I prefere offline installations! But nowadays this gets more and more difficult each day, because there are so many software providers that rely on fxxxing online installation/autorisation! And you never can trust Microsoft, they always change some of your settings in any new release! But this is the future, the 21st century, progress, ... I hate it!

  38. Still nope... That voucher CHOP-2999 is decreasing plugin price to $29.99. Not by a difference of anything... So I am afraid it works as designed... But don't feel regrets about useless $25voucher this month... My $50 voucher gone in vain as well... Till last day hoped something will appear but no... I don't even try to offer it to anybody not to be funny... It is completely useless... Much better is to have $25 voucher so do not spend more than $300 over year ever for PA... They do not appreciate it.... Instead you will get penalties... like $75 limit... so forced to buy more plugins at once to get good deal...

  40. Ya, I saw the “your computer isn’t ready for this” (paraphrased) message this morning. Pretty cool I just built it in January and it’s an i9 9900, 32 gig 3400 ram, all latest and greatest good stuff with the exception of my interface. i do wonder if it’s freaking out about my MOTU Track16 usb but I’m not gonna mess with it as it’s been flawless for years. Well done, Microsoft. Take the rest of the day....

  41. I'm following the advice from https://www.askwoody.com/, so I've changed the Windows Update advanced settings to defer security updates by about 10 days, and the half yearly feature updates by 180 days. That should save a lot of trouble, as any problematic updates can be fixed or withdrawn by Microsoft before my computer downloads them. So I guess I'll be getting the 20.04 update in November

  42. Based on my experience with several other failed Windows 10 update attempts, the so-called "Rollback" did not restore my pre-failed update settings. On several occasions the most obvious signs were BSODs mostly coming from my usb 2x2 midi interface drivers, but sometimes others related to my PCI audio card drivers. In fairness to Windows 10, these are older devices that Windows 10 might not have current drivers for--even though they work when I install the manufacturer's drivers manually. On several occasions I have uninstalled the devices and the drivers (even checking "hidden devices and deleted the drivers that might be there). Also, I suspect that in my case part of the issue is that I have multiple 2x2 midi interfaces from the same manufacturer. On several occasions I have re-connected and reinstalled them one-by-one (with a PC reboot in between). That seems to work to prevent BSODs, until after an "ordinary" Windows 10 update. I have never been sure if Windows' Compatibility Telemetry (or some other "protect-the-consumer-from-him-or-herself" process says, "I don't like this device and/or driver)" and changes my system. ? So I usually just assume its my older PC and devices. But when I see others with somewhat similar experiences, maybe its not just my system.

  43. I am disappointed... Adding scalable GUI for ALL plugins don't require so much effort as they have only few fixed values and are not really scalable (what is ok for me). So probably the 'hardest' thing is to prepare 5 different size pictures sets for all plugins (not that it would be nice to have it in design like license register support/checking etc). Just few plugins updated with possibility to scale and many still hard to see on smaller screens ?
