  1. FedEx says the ARC with mic should be here today. I assume that then I will be able to register it and officially become a group buy participant. I am also waiting for a AirPowered fence staple gun from Amazon to repair some wire fencing out in the pasture. I will have to have all my witts about me trying to decide which tool to use where!

  2. Oh Shure dangle a fred like this in front of me knowing I can't resist This is a true story sad but every word a fact I can no longer wear my speedos It was because of the following incident of which I to this day have trouble dealing with One day I was at the beach trying to find a lady friend but wasn't having any luck at all. I was wearing jeans and a shirt so I must have looked out of place. I ran into an old friend by the water that I knew never had any problems finding girl friends so I stopped and asked him for advice. He wisely suggested I go to the Swim Shop right away and buy a speedo 2 sizes too small! Then go buy a potato and put it in there. HE guaranteed me it works every time! So I did all that. I thought this is great! I even felt like a babe magnet! Feeling empowered I commenced strutting my stuff up and down down the beach and getting looks from EVERYONE. I thought it was working but people looked at me disgusted or just laughing as I went by. I thought somethings just not right so I found my friend again and asked what the hell everyone’s laughing at me for? My friend looked me right in the eye and said "DUDE, you’re supposed to put the potato in the front”

  3. Yep, they told us true when promised some time ago to shock us with their new offers... I wonder if they will find a single person interested in 1 amp sim intro price $129 in 2019... For VIP they are more generous and it is $99 but well... No thanks... Overloud Mark Studio 2 is usually priced at 109 EUR with VAT and 6 bass amps

  4. I've rolled back to 4.04 but it doesn't surprise me the clicks are happening on many instruments, since it's an engine issue. Hopefully they will get these fixes out quickly.

  5. I'd stay on those Gin and Tonics pretty good while assembling that library. I would throw in some Dominants into that beverage selection.

  7. Both useful but not at all interchangeable. (unless a fence post has a boominess at around 100Hz .)

  8. Similar feeling here, Grem. I have the T-RackS Leslie, not the Amplitube one, but I don’t see why I would pay $130 for it, even when I would get the four Tape Machines as freebies. Would have preferred to see some SampleTank libraries at $99 in the Group Buy.

  10. Sorry I'm a little late, but here is a new video I made showing how you can use MCabinet and MFreeformEqualizer to create acoustic guitar IRs. This might be helpful for those who play acoustic, but don't have access to space to mic their guitars. Hopefully you find this useful.

  11. Hey guys, I wanted to show my support for Cakewalk by Bandlab.. I was never a Cakewalk user, but now that its free i was tempted to download and try it out. The main DAW's i spend a lot of personal time with in the past are: Cubase, Studio one and Reason. I really feel now that Cakwalk is free, everybody should know about it, and that its a fully fledged 30 years in the making DAW! And anybody would be nuts spending a lot of money if they can all have it for free. (Exept if you are after a particular function in a DAW that Cakewalk does not have) But for general recording/producing/mixing... Cakewalk rocks just as hard as the payed one's and on some point even better. I know its free and i cant ask for anything because this is already so cool as it is... but i think some extra bling bling feature would persuade new user to go this route instead of the payed one's. If you guys could integrate something like Studio One has, with the circle of fifths and chord track.. i think something like that will make it stand out more.. I really hope Bandlab can attract a lot of users and keep this going i love it. Thanks!!

  22. Up to 3 free now. I went ahead and got the Amplitude Leslie. If the group buy hits the max level it will mean I fully complete my T-Racks and Amplitude libraries. Worst case I'll come up a few of the new Tape Machines short.

  25. If you look at the change log and new features list for the current build, you'll see that a lot of heavy lifting is going into making what's already there work correctly and work better. There are some existing features that are ripe for the picking, like integrating the Matrix View into song composition, making Drum Maps more seamless, that would help make Cakewalk more attractive to people who want to use it for EDM and the like. I think if some attention were put to the Matrix, for instance, that might be the feature that you're talking about. It's already there, it's just kind of isolated. Cakewalk's an incredibly deep program, and its features were added in stages over decades, so some of them are integrated better than others. It seems like the developers have more breathing room to go back and do some touching up, and so far, the results are nothing short of excellent. Every new build is like Xmas morning!

  26. I know how to change file associations. ? This is not the problem... This is to open a file inside the Cakewalk app. CbB does not recognize this extension, and it doesn't appear in the files that Cakewalk recognizes.. I know we can open it from the file manager, but to speed up the process, it would be better if we could open it inside the CbB program

  27. Hi all, For feedback that is specific to 2019.07, it would be helpful to the team if you use this topic to share your feedback and issues. Similar to the Early Access topics, we want to focus discussions related to the new release in this topic. 2019.07 is definitely one of the biggest updates we've done in a while - we really appreciate all the great feedback and participation in the Early Access Program that led us here! 2019.07 Highlights 2019.07 Release Notes Online doc covering new features Thanks for your participation!

  34. Interesting: The standard *.mid file I renamed as *.midi (not OSX midi file) seems to open (1) by clicking on the file directly and (2) by reopening it from the start page (recently opened files), but not (3) by dragging it to the Cakewalk desktop or (4) by searching using the All Cakewalk File Browser. Because I changed the association, Windows knows to open it with Cakewalk, but as you pointed out other ways of opening files don't presently work. I just tested this with an old *.smf file -- the default extension for an old midi program. It opens using methods (1) and (2) but not (3) and (4). Note sure it helps, but I figured as long as I explored this (and seem to have replicated your issue), I thought I'd share it. Steve

  37. The fact that you're concerned about this issue indicates you don't want to release your work with this amount of distortion on the CP-30. Nothing suggested so far in the thread will actually eliminate the distortion. I'd say it's time to fire up whatever synth you still have, play the part again, and consider this a lesson for the future.

  41. @Noel Borthwick : I have checked the clip issue above, both with the EA2 and the final 2019.07 release and I am sorry, but it is still present! An additional observation to this issue: If it happens, then first the clip start time disappears in the properties and then when I click on the clip to refresh the properties the clip disappears, i.e. I noticed that it only jumps to the beginning of the project: "01-01". The unstoppable play thread is definitly coupled to the Focusrite interface/driver, because with the Behringer UMC404HD it did never happen! But nevertheless, the new release is really the best Cakewalk we ever had! It makes me really happy that so many take lane/comping issues have been solved! I also like all these copy 'n' paste improvements and these lovely, obvious selection markers! Thank you Bakers!

  42. I have to agree! Barnes and Noble for me. I would always check for latest issue and if there was a good article I brought it too. Usually brought a couple a year at least. I just don't get by a B&N as often as I's like with my schedule ?

  43. I've been reading SoS since the late 80's. Not every month, as budget didn't always allow, but more often than not I'd skim through it in WHSmith if I was waiting on a train. If it had a must-read article, I'd definitely buy it though. IMHO it's the best pro recording magazine out there. Before eBay was a thing, I must have dumped around 100 issues or in the recycle bin before I last moved house... if only I knew...
