Ultimately it's all about eliminating the need for multiple automation lanes by putting (way too many) controls on the transit knob. The effects are ok/good, you get 10 more with version 2 but it's the ability to meld these together and to have them all controlled so easily from the transit knob. That makes transit so unique. I use a little Akai lp8 mkIi in Studio one. When transit is active the first rotary is assigned to the transit knob and the second is to the mix% knob. Once your presets are set up and saved the way you want them, that's all you need. 2 knobs to control multiple effects (28 different effects in v2) each with automatically modulating effect parameters. Lots of motion very easily. It's designed for transitions/ear candy. Instant risers, falls, fx, modulation. If you have version 1, $29 gets you new modes (lfo, gate, side chain, sequencer, macro, and follower (which is really good in how it responds to a more or less busy/aggressive mix) to control the transit knob. I still use simple automation of the transit knob but for gate type effects, stutter effects, tying effects to a kick or bassline, the other options add to its versatility. You also get the 10 additional effects (28 total). Some of these are a bit cheesy but might find a home for a specific use. I wouldn't say v2 is night and day better than v1. But $29 is excellent value for a $79 plugin that adds a ton of versatility to it. If you intended Transit to be used as a multi effect there's probably better options. But nothing else (IMO) gives you easy control of so many effects and their parameters and begs to be tweaked. Not affiliated with Baby Audio in any way, FWIW.

It's a nice update - $29 well spent IMO

So........Installed?!?!

FWIW I bought this mostly to replace a couple of Waves (and others) gain rider plugins. I am still trying to figure out the ARA "AI" (infinite lookahead) aspects. Works well in Studio One 6.6.1 here though. (Plugin version 1.0.3). 3 updates in a little over 2 weeks. For anyone who had difficulty with the plug (Bapu!) on first trial, it might be worth another look. Not affiliated with this supplier in any way. He did refund my purchase of the basic version (Gainaim) so I could take advantage of the Pro version current discount at a bigger savings than the upgrade discount would have been. ?

Doesn't mention the crashes though..... might wait a while on this.

+1 resizable GUI would be nice but too little otherwise for too much (coin). Like a lot of the GForce updates/up"grades".

Wonderful! You nailed it (as usual). Sorry about the marital issues - (Sabbath is like counseling. ?) Love the album cover! Sabbath Vol 4 is a favourite.

I expect this will disappear down the queue quickly but figured I'd post a reply. I have a few Kontakt (I use K7) piano libraries but mostly for a mix, I tend to use True Pianos (4 Front) where the piano is in a denser mix. Most of the larger pianos I own get little practical use. I bought the Boz pianos and they're quite versatile, sound nice and have a number of useful presets that will make both of them very useable for my needs. Lots of control over the sound and the playability. The samples occupy about 15 GB of storage on one of my sample SSD's. During installation, there is complete flexibility on where the samples reside. I own quite a few Boz plugs and the ones I've owned for years continue to work properly (Studio One Pro 6.5.1 in Win 11 is my main DAW). (There was a comment about this developer abandoning plugs. Hasn't been my experience at all FWIW). For anyone looking for a small, versatile piano (or 2!) Whether or not you own Kontakt, I'd recommend these

I've received 2 notifications from Audio Damage for a 1.2.6b then a 1.2.6c update. Not sure what the differences are. Installed 1.2.6b this morning, then got the "c" notification afterward. Just FYI.

Presonus Studio One 6.2.1 released - probably not a deal
Brando replied to ralfrobert's topic in Deals
Yea and some of the soundsets also. Not deal breakers by any stretch but never made sense to me that Presonus doesn’t make them available as rental as that is the stuff I am unlikely to purchase unless it turns out to be indispensable down the road.- 20 replies

Brando replied to ralfrobert's topic in Deals
I still wish I could just subscribe to the “+” part. Never made sense to me as an owner of Studio One, Notion, Progression, Batch Converter, etc why I would want to subscribe at full rate to something that is largely what I already have. And would want to keep access to should circumstances change and I want to unsubscribe.- 20 replies
