Jim Fogle
Kind of you to ask Scott. I've used a Zoom MRS-8 hardware DAW to create most of my recordings. I have no experience in live sound or audio production so I'm a beginner in the truest sense of the word. Having a device with a built-in drum and bass machine, nine velocity sensitive pads, built-in electret microphone, two inputs, four mono tracks, two stereo tracks and hundreds of recording, mixing and mastering signal chain presets spoiled me. In the past I've played around with Cakewalk Music Creator but not consistently enough to know it. The same can be said for Cakewalk by BandLab. I'm still grappling with the most basic of tasks like cut, copy and paste.
Scott R. Garrigus
Hi Jim... I'm sure it took some time to learn all the features for the Zoom, although there's a lot more to learn with Cakewalk. It'll just take some time.-- Scott R. roundcubetwo
your stuff is far and away some of the best teaching on mixing on the internet... even than other pros. You never offer pat or superficial information but always attempt to show the inner workings and fundamentals of whatever you are discussing. In other words really useful information, REAL information, the kind of information that other Pro's either take for granted or don't actually want to share... so, the kind of information that a user can apply to pull themselves up. And I say this after surfing / reading a lot of material on recording / mixing. Anyway, just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for sharing your knowledge. When I get the budget definitely going to splash some cash on one of your courses...
Jim Fogle
Scott, I've subscribed to your channel. I'm looking forward to learning the tricks to using Cakewalk by BandLab. Now all I have to do is create song projects that need some of the tricks to sound like I want.

Dan Weese
On 5/12/2020 at 4:03 PM, Robert McClellan said: I have posted this as a list here already, but just in case a beginner was to miss that post or maybe it seemed a bit daunting, here is the entire playlist. These will literally walk you through, step by step, everything from downloading and installing to recording, mixing, and exporting your songs! Robert, the 3rd video in this playlist is Private. Judging by the 4th video, it may have some of the installation help I need. I have Cakewalk installed, but can't seem to get it to play any of the sample projects, even though I have ASIO4ALL loaded and can hear audio through my Focusrite Solo interface. Do you have a video troubleshooting that? 1
Robert McClellan
Hey sorry about that! Not sure why it was set to private??? Anywho, if you need more one on one I go live every week and take questions from the audience.
