Andrew Betzold Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Hi everyone, So, I'm just starting to produce and learning to use the platform and was just trying to set my USB Samson mic up. I was able to get it connected and can record and sing into it but the recordings are sped up and make a chipmunk-like sound. Does anyone know how to fix this? Would be greatly appreciative of any advice. Thanks?
Noel Borthwick Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 @Andrew Betzold what version of Cakewalk are you running? Please install the latest 2019.12 release. Are you using WASAPI shared mode? This is the normal way to handle USB microphones since you need to route it to a different output audio device. There was a fix for a similar problem with WASAPI shared mode. There is also a new release with some more WASAPI fixes so please try it out.
Andrew Betzold Posted December 22, 2019 Author Posted December 22, 2019 (edited) Hi @Noel Borthwick, I just installed Cakewalk two nights ago so I assume that I have the updated version. I also switched to WASAPI shared and nothing changed. Thank you for your help though. Edited December 22, 2019 by Andrew Betzold
scook Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 The link in @Noel Borthwick's post is an early release of 2019-12 build 23 not available through BandLab Assistant. .
