Sonar 8.5 question (what is Cronus.dll?)

I'm using og Sonar 8.5 to tie up some old projects, wondering if any old schoolers can help with this error (see attached).

I keep getting this when exporting audio. It happens about 45% through.

Yes, I reinstalled Sonar 8.5 fresh with both the updates. I still get this pesky error about Cronus.dll. If I'm not mistaken, that's V-Vocal, right?

So maybe I can troubleshoot by deleting, or deactivating all the V-Vocal clips til I find the offender?

Just wanted to ask here first because there are a TON of V-Vocal clips, around 100. So I'd hate to be chasing the wrong tiger.

Cronus is V-Vocal.  As with any Region FX, V-Vocal clips should be bounced or rendered before exporting audio.  That way SONAR is free of it's influence.

After bouncing them, check if there's any hidden clips behind them and remove them.  Not that they would throw an error but it's a good thing to do IMO.

With mulitple instances that are not easy to find, an old trick to remove Region FX from a project was to save as a bun file, then unpack it. Bun files do not store Region FX, so it will strip them all that way. If you try/do this, just be sure to unpack the bun to a NEW folder so the original project is not overwritten (or back the original project up before doing this).

But that would effectively undo any edits V-Vocal did to those clips.  Then you're looking at redoing them when you open the bun.

If exporting to audio is the goal, it's good practice to bounce before and after each Region FX edit so there's no issues.  I normally do this as part of the Region FX process.
