Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,

I'm not cooking or baking  but I sure am thankful I can eat.   My wife and I are spending Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and our grand baby.

Enjoy !!

Going out with out of town relatives for Thanksgiving dinner.  Rather stay at home but too many relatives coming in for us to host anymore.  The relatives expected us to always have it. Sorry not happening anymore. Christmas we will host for the smaller crowd of 20. That my wife and I can handle.

Happy Thanksgiving to all :)

@bayoubill   Do you make all those pies from scratch?

I bet your house smells wonderful with all those pies baking.

Yes. A lot of work

I just now finished

makes a big mess but well worth it

all the fruit apples, peaches etc are from local groves we picked up in the spring. I cut them up and froze them for thanksgiving

even the cinnamon is freshly crushed

It’s a pie made with<drum roll please>pecans; pretty much a southern staple. Tend to be very rich, as in you can’t help yourself, you gotta have one more bite! But invariably, that “one more bite”, is two bites too many.

As far as the pumpkin, yeah come on Bill. And as long as you’re at it, I’d like a slice of Dutch apple; I’ll bring the HagenDass vanilla. ?

Happy Thanksgiving to All.

My "Snowbird" brother was coming over for dinner but that got cancelled as my wife came down with a cold (going around in this area).   We'll celebrate at a later date.

Yes Bill how could you forget the Becon Pie :D

Of course you will be forgiven if the stuffing is a Becan Stuffing mix!

My wife ate it. I know because I went to get it and it was gone. Strawberry & Rhubarb dribbling down chin was a give away.

The Dutch Apple pie I made last year for thanksgiving was my masterpiece

it was the best pie I ever made

for me it’s one of those freaky things where everything came together perfectly and I want it to remain “ the best I ever had “ in everyone’s memory
