Good news A Free version of Sonar

Sort of kept secret from the public for now but this is good news for those of us long time fans who have changed Daw’s due to the Membership fiasco.
I would love to continue using Sonar but due to not having confidence in the future I was not going to renew my membership next month.

I also am not interested in Cakewalk as it’s unsupported and could be deleted any time.
So this situation had me reluctantly returning to Platinum.

This new option will give me access to the supported version. I was hoping that someday Sonar would come available as a lifetime option but this is a very good solution for me.

Thank you who ever came up with the idea.

Having a free version ( not Cakewalk) is a great way to get new users involved. Waveform has this option.

I would imagine that the next step is to remove Cakewalk as I don’t see any point in keeping it now.

The following is offered as constructive criticism. You guys REALLY need to fix Sonars web presence. I should be good at navigating the minefield but I guess not.

OK so I thought I'd install this mystery version of Sonar. Once again, a Google search for "sonar" results in Sonar Works , other products called Sonar and legacy Sonar Platinum which is still offered for sale. . WAAAYY down the page I found Bandlab which only takes me to my Bandlab page which is a bunch of social media junk and no links to Sonar. I typed "Sonar" in the search bar  and got a list of members who have that name. Obviously even Google is forgetting Cakewalk Sonar exists.

Type in Cakewalk Sonar and I finally find the Sonar page that is from 2 years ago because it says "New Products coming soon!" ??

Only option there is to sign up for a membership. I do not see any links to a free lower level Sonar?  OK , plan B  Possibly it's only in the Product Center?

I tried to find the Cakewalk Product center and it's also nowhere to be found on the Bandlab sites.  It would make a lot of sense if this worked like other software that use a Manager but in the past seemed you could just download and install the software directly.  So why is it not found on the Sonar web page?

It's been 3 years and it's still a S--T show. good grief. And you guys get mad at me for complaining?
