Stxx
21 hours ago, Noel Borthwick said: I think you are getting confused with their UI. As I mentioned its auto activated inside Sonar and Next. The UI of the plugin is whatever general UI Overloud has for an external license. The key here is that you should be able to stream audio and use the plugin with no limitations. If you try running that plugin in another DAW or even CbB you will get this dialog and can only use it as a demo. Ok so in the end I don’t know exactly why but when I put it in a different project it works so I guess there’s some problem on my side so I appreciate your help and sorry I kinda wasted our time doing this. This is something I probably should’ve done right away

gmp
I can't install Sonar on a 2nd computer, because it won't let me change the HD from D:\Cakewalk Content to F:\Cakewalk Content. I tried both advanced and Basic install and tried it without installing Cakewalk Product Center and with installing it. The window is greyed out. I need to install it on a 2nd computer for testing purposes, since I've found some bugs and have gotten no response from this thread

Display text seems to be fixed in latest update of Sonar. Running Windows 11 ARM64 on Parallels Desktop for Mac. However the rest is still the same with issues as I mentioned in my original post

You would need to do a clean install to remove the shared reg key to change the path

Bearing in mind we don't officially support running in Parallels, this particular issue is already fixed and will be in the next update.

Phil T
This a new behavior and may have been brought up but whenever I hide a track in the Console View the console slider moves immediately to the far right. I then have to scroll back to the track area. I usually have to scroll back and forth a few times to figure out where I was at.
Spliff128
I've got a question: I tried Sonar Free Tier and everytime i'm starting the program, it shows me a splash screen with 15 seconds to wait, till i can choose between Free and Membership. Can i disable this anyhow? If not, its pretty irritating, let me just decide instantly. It feels like spam to me. SVSX
Thats unfortunate. Can you consider to change this in a future update? I have no problem to get that screen, just let me immidiately decide. If for examle something crashes, which was the case yesterday and i tried to reload my project many times (to find out whats wrong), i had everytime to wait 15 seconds till i can continue my work. Feels a bit like the "Common People" episode in Black Mirror 😐
Wookiee
@SVSX nag screens are not uncommon on free software, nearly all the free software I have ever tried, that has paid versions, has had a nag screen. Some are more persistent than others.

gmp
I was able to install by searching my Registry for all occurrences of D:\Cakewalk Content and changing to D to F (my F HD). I first created the folder - F:\Cakewalk Content here's my initial post: can't install Sonar on a 2nd computer, because it won't let me change the HD from D:\Cakewalk Content to F:\Cakewalk Content. gmp
I installed Sonar Free on 2 different computers and got the same results of this Bug. Go to Preferences / Customization / Colors. Select all, change all the colors to light blue. Show strip Colors is checked save changes for next session is checked. Of course at first I tried less drastic changes. I'm disappointed that there are no Themes and no Theme Editor. I did extensive work on my Theme, which makes my work-flow work so much better, being able to see things clearly,

sjoens
Even Adobe Acrobat does this, tho it's a quick click of the continue for free button to remove it. It also seems to happen only the 1st time it's opened. The Subscribe button is in the same header as the doc tabs so no screen space is lost.
