Snake Dance with AI video

So I wanted to try to make a song using only Rigid Audio Cinematrix, and it is mostly that (some chopping, backwardsing, fx etc) but I did have to add a synth from Sampletank and Augmented Mallets, and the drums are Addictive Drums 2. I wanted to try making an AI video using the free ones, so I made some snake images in various free image generators and then some snake videos and a storyline evolved...The magical metallic snake has a journey from the forest and meets with a shaman in a Sedona AZ like setting, then sees the city and goes there, goes into the club and has a fun dance with a pretty woman, then leaves in the night, travels back to his home in the desert at the snake petroglyph rock. Kinds just happened. I am amused by the oddities of the AI, limbs that appear, fish that come out of the snake body, tails that come and go, so I dont mind. Not trying for an oscar. And there are many inconsistencies in the snakes appearance because I used maybe 6 different free image to video or text to video programs. Some have very long waits for a 5 second clip so I went with things as they arrived. I dont think the music necessarily represents the video story but are well enough together, as they were made independent of each other. The video program crashed and I lost it all and had to redo it. I am also not too experienced at video programs. I listened to the song way too much in all this, so if the mix is in need of something let me know. Thanks for listening/watching/discussing what I hope will be an amusing few minutes.

Interesting, odd harmonies. I liked it but it would be nice with a vocal melody as well.  Mix, arrangement, etc sound perfectly well. The video fits well with the audio as has a very AI/fantasy look.

Really cool ideas and implementation.  The incorrect artifacts that AI is these days known for will disappear (unfortunately in a way if you ask me - they are hilarious attempts by machines that will one day own us.)  Laugh now, suckers!  We will own you!  LOLOL.  I love the video ansd what those snakes do.  Very coold Nice work.

Hi equality, thanks for listening and for your comment. I appreciate the mix check for me. I didnt really feel anything lyrically for this one, just an instrumental experiment and AI video making experiment put together. Yes the video has a very AI look and is kinda goofy at times, I really enjoyed playing with the free programs.  I tried to make them fit timing wise with my limited knowledge of video editing at the moment.  I like interesting and odd so thanks !

Hi steve@baselines Thanks for listening and your feedback. I agree the AI are hilarious attempts and it was fun to engage with the free video programs and see the outcomes - extra legs, extra tails etc.  Thanks for letting me know you love the video and the snakes journey and the ideas in this ! I needed something fun after the last song ha....

I've found some of the AI imagery outputs I've gotten to be wierd and funny (some of them actually disgusting or repellent), and while I found it fun in the beginning, it's grown frustrating because the programs dont accept common terminology required to tell them what output is actually wanted, and because there's no iterative editing capablity, they all just generate a whole new output based on the updated prompt, so it's not possible to just fix the problems with something that is almost perfect; it just starts over every time, always with something wrong.

It's still fun to first see what wierdness it generates from a prompt though.   :)

Despite having to manually edit the output I get, I still use it for my album "art" and a few other things.

Someday I'd love to create a video like you have, for the various stories of my songs, if there's ever time.  Which specific tools / sites did you use; I could at least try them out....

Very cool song, and the imagery is awesome 👍🏼

BTW I left my comments on your YOUTUBE channel.

Hi Old Joad,

thanks for listening and leaving both your comments. Glad you enjoyed the song and found the imagery awesome. It really was fun to make and evolve the snake(s) on the journey !

Hi Amberwolf,

Thanks for listening and your comment and sharing your experience with AI generating. To find free text to video ai and image to video ai programs, I just googled what they might be and then used them for free, normally had to sign in, and normally the waits were very long to get a small video clip. Paid memberships offer faster rendering but I wont do this enough to get a subscription. I did these a while ago and I think things change so just look for some when you are ready to experiment.  Yeschat, videotube, aiease, Hailuo AI, and others if I recall right. I made ai stills too. It helps for continuity if you use an AI still to then make the AI video from that. Some are watermarked others not. As you say, it is fun to see what the program makes from the prompt. I am working on another song and starting an AI video now that should be fun too. Theres a reddit for ai videos where people share their work and say what program they used in the post title.  I enjoy the goofy stuff it does!

Cool track, lot's of interesting sounds, you put some work in this one. I find AI videos hard to watch, something is just weird about them.

Hi KSband, thank you for listening and your feedback.  Cool and interesting, thanks. Almost all the sound were RIgid Audio Cinematrix in various permutations or straight as they are. I got their very cheap bundle when they went out of business (back again I think) so figured I should use some. Yeah it was some work, but the kind of work that is fun for me. AI videos are weird for sure, I enjoy some of the goofy stuff AI made from my text or image prompts, its amusing. I guess sometime they will be so good and look normal and harder to pick out as AI. So for now its fun to play with the goofy stuff.
