Chaps
Sounds good. Very mellow and clean. If I were going to quibble about something, and it's most likely because of the way I hear things, it's that the piano's attack seems a little too forceful for the tone of the composition. If I found that in my own songs, and I often do, I would reduce the velocity of the MIDI notes to a more pianissamo and increase the track's volume to compensate.

After going over the different ways I could present this piece I decided to have the first part contain a "Rage, rage against the dying of the light" undercurrent, hence the piano's somewhat forceful delivery, but if you listen carefully, I was able to deliver softer nuances in the piano at certain times. The second half contains the quiet, solemn, reflective moods. Thanks again!! 🎵 🎶

treesha
Lovely, very soundtrack-y. Nice structure. I think some bass would add another dimension. Enjoyed it.
equality
Nice track but try modify the velocity of the piano. It's a bit harsh right now.

Thanks treesha, appreciate the listen and kind words. I will try to revisit this and see if a bass part materializes.

I wrote the piano parts while recording and playing as best I could. When I finally had some decent piano parts I edited what I played in piano roll to what's in the song.
