bitflipper Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 You don't often hear this guitar maestro's singing chops, but he does pretty good for an old codger. But keep listening, it's the bass player who steals the show vocally. The drummer's no slouch singing, either. What a f*ck'n awesome band all around. I do a lot of faux guitar on keyboard, but I have never had the nerve to do it in a live situation when there's a real guitar player on the team. Can't even imagine having the balls to do it alongside such a legendary picker. But this fellow pulls off the second guitar part in Apache with panache. (Note that despite being the son of David Crosby, he became a non-singing keyboard player. It would seem that musical genes are plastic in the neurological sense.)
craigb Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Will definitely be checking this one out later!
DeeringAmps Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 In the Beato conversation (really these really are more like conversations than interviews) he talks about singing Old School live with SD. t
jackson white Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 maybe he could quit his day job... https://potomacinstitute.org/index.php/regents/jeff-baxter
Bapu Posted January 1 Posted January 1 3 minutes ago, Bapu said: He did a much better singing My Old School than I did. Rumor has it the bass guitar was an Alembic (even though @craigb and @SteveStrummerUK won't believe it)
bitflipper Posted January 1 Author Posted January 1 You sang that, Ed? I'm impressed! "When we go to the circus and see a dancing bear, we're delighted - not because he dances well, but that he dances at all." You're a man of unexpected talents, bapu. 1 1
