Long delivery times from Sweetwater

I ordered an ashtray for a tele on August 18. I got it last week, dec 6.

I ordered a power supply and pedal on nov 28. It has not arrived yet, dec 14.

Are others seeing this from different venders?

I'm not sure if this is a sign of supply issues.

Sorry to hear that. I would understand maybe one specific thing but 3? That's strange.

Ordered this Wednesday night at 11 pm. On my doorstep in Vegas Friday morning a little after 10. Of course I paid for ultra speedy service (wow, I am surprised by the words that get censored here, although I appreciate the automated heads up and kind of understand I guess). Because, I'm like a kid. And I wanted to make sure it was here on time for my 3-day weekend.

In the last couple of months I got a few items from Sweetwater - all of them regular deliveries. The only thing that took slightly longer than expected was one of those Glyph drives - it took like 4 or 5 business days, which seemed unusual. The replacement arrived in two days I think.

We've had a few late deliveries lately, but not as extreme as yours. The reason is probably a high utilization of the delivery services over Christmas, Black Friday, etc. FedEx shot the bird because it took them over 4 weeks to determine that a package had been lost during a delivery from Midena/It to Hamburg, Ger. The delivery from Modena to Hamburg was there within 2 days, but obscure things happened in Hamburg until it was lost.

Normally I'd say with the UPS ? Fedex ? tracking#  you could see the progress in detail.....then you know if it's Sweetwater or carrier  causing the delay.

On Sweetwater it shows if the item is 'in stock'....which could also be incorrect.

My bet would be on Sweetwater not having your items in stock.

I would rather drive from the southeast tip of Florida to the north west corner of Alaska to pick up a package rather than have it shipped by FedEx.

I hate Fedex.

Always screwed me waiting for overnight stuff for work and made me watch my brand new guitar leave my driveway in the back of their truck 3 times because they were too lazy to wait for me to ride up to them on my mower.

I hate fedex.

Have I mentioned I ha... oh yeah, I did twice.

Is the shipment crossing any national borders?

Agreed. I once saw a documentary film on FedEx. One of their planes crashed and the supervisor, who got  stranded in Fiji, started opening everyone's packages. He even developed a weird relationship with some kid's volleyball. You just cant trust a company like that.

(God only knows the sick things their doing with Gswitz's power supply  🤮)

And I know that this is true. And yet, for me, the brown and gold team takes the cake in terms of unreliability.

The orange and purple guys practically never failed me. Standard is usually here between 6 and 7 pm. Priority or whatever they call it before 2 pm. Once the package is out for delivery, I am 99% sure it will be here before the end of the day.

The brown and gold trucks are the exact opposite. Even after I get confirmation the the package has landed in Vegas and that it is allegedly out for delivery... Two days later, I finally get an update - they don't really know where my package is. Last known location is LA. And that is the norm more than the exception.

Here in Vegas, anyway.

Stop using the word Fed Ex to stop getting your posts requiring approval.

One unfortunate side effect of having to make filters to catch spammers...higher moderator workload, annoyance to regular users.  But often better than immense amounts of bot spam.  :(  (I've had to use this method extensively when we had bot floods)

I like ups because I worked for them for 8 years and they are Union. I support unions. I decry violence.

My November order arrives tomorrow.

I love music. I find it so much fun.

My latest favorite toy is the keeley eccos. It has this sound on sound loop mode where older loops decay and fade. I've never had this in another stomp,  and I play with it for hours.  I turn a figure eight sideways to the amp for vocals. It's just practice, but i practice the recording too. Because I get to know the different sounds I expect with me as performer, changing mics and hardware settings gives good feedback on different gear.

It's silly, but I've been recording 6 channels... 2 from the eccos, 2 mics, compression for those 2 mics... at 96 bc why not.  Lol
