backwoods Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 the buttons to run vst scan are dimmed in preferences window. any one else had this problem? tried running as administrator even overall- horrible installation. think I made a huge ,mistake when program asked me if I wanted to import settings and gave me a list of previous sonar installs. I just double clicked the top one and now ieverything is pointed towards steam apps (x86) for a version i installed about a decade ago and never used.
DeeringAmps Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I'm not a fan of uninstall, but maybe. Trouble is uninstall never digs down into the registry and so might not solve anything. ABBOTT! Whoops, @Noel Borthwick t 1

I've been using the free version for years and never had any problems with it or its functions. Revo Uninstaller 2
Xoo Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Are you running or did you run CbB or Sonar or one of the others as Administrator?
Bristol_Jonesey Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Or you could simply do a clean install which will remove the relevant registry entries https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013372/Clean-Install-All-Cakewalk-Software 2
backwoods Posted November 28, 2024 Author Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) Thanks for that Jonesey. i think this is the way to go edit: it worked! i only cleared the first three things. I have to re enter my hotkeys but that's all good. Sonar looks great! Edited November 28, 2024 by backwoods 1
