cclarry Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 We couldn’t be more excited to announce Feb. 13 as the release date for our next EZkeys 2 milestone expansion. Who’s ready for the Session Organ EKX? Until it's available, have a listen to some snippets on this section of our site: https://www.toontrack.com/new-year-new-gear/#coming-up 5

DeeringAmps Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 I honestly thought that “EZ3” would be a unique instrument with a midi universe all its own. But what do I know… t 2
DeeringAmps Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 (edited) On a serious note; if everything we hear in the demo is available in the included midi this will be a “winner” for those of us that are Hammond “challenged”! t Edited February 4, 2024 by DeeringAmps 3 1
Max Arwood Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 I love the b3 sound. I will definitely check this out, but IK media “Hammond” B3X is phenomenal. Sorry no midi tracks? 3
Bapu Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 I hope all the MIDI for the TT B3 is in the vein of Jon Lord. 3 1
paulo Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 You guys might want to avoid playing with your organs too much on release day. Don't forget what the following day is...... 5

Max Arwood Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Wow you know it would be nice to click on “in the style of” Jon Lord, Booker T, Keith Emerson, Jimmy Smith, Lonnie Smith etc. I guess someone industrious could split the tracks into stems and drop the keyboard track into Melodyne. 2

True that. We’ll just have to see. Perhaps someone “clever” will write a “drum map” that handles all that? t 1

bitflipper Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Speak his name and the devil appears... I listened to the clips and it sounds pretty good. Anybody can stack a bunch of oscillators and come up with a reasonable Hammond tone. So what I listen for is the one thing everybody struggles to get right: the Leslie, its tonal coloration, distortion, stereo spread, doppler effect, speed changes and model types. This one seems to be doing a good job at those things, maybe even equal to IKM's Leslie. All that's moot to me, though, as EZKeys is not a product category that I have any interest in. 2 1

But those of us that have marginal piano skills, and none of subtlety that the B3 requires, would “lap up” any “in the style of” midi you produced… And gladly pay for the privilege. t 2

TheMaartian Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 (edited) I usually wait for new Toontrack instruments to go on sale, but this one will be a Day 1 purchase for me. It will be VERY interesting to compare it to IKM's, which I have. I also have the Leslie Collection, with all of its presets, for AmpliTube. It's very good. Edited February 5, 2024 by John Maar 1
