What is that noise at 1:39?
Like the way you changed things up every time thru.
Your song, your production; but some of the non traditional "noises" in Kontakt; maybe they'll grow on me...

Hi Tom - thanks for listening ;)

There's a few things going on there - some of them are from this guy in Ukraine who made some field recordings.

Good song, enjoyed it. Do you ever sing on your songs? At the stop at about 1 minute, put some reverby or delay stuff in so it doesn’t seem like the song is ending. Like the unexpected changes of parts and moods, the mix seems balanced over here. Sometimes the guitar seems very slightly muddy. I agree with you calling it a jazzy, rockish song, at some parts more one that the other, and with some abstract bits too. I like the ending section work wish there was more of that. Good job

Hi treesha,

Thanks a lot for listening and for your comments.

I just do instrumentals - I like it this way ;)

And that thing at 1:00 is *supposed* to sound like the song is ending - it's all part of the fun ;)

Hi Nigel,

Thanks a lot for listening and for your comments. I think what you're both referring to is a noise kind of like a record scrathching or something "broken".

It's just a noise - among other noises ;)

John, having heard a number of your songs over the years, I must say that I'm constantly surprised and delighted by you.  Maybe because of the unexpected sounds throughout, I really like this song!  Your arrangement is cleaver and crafty, which gives it a vibe of unpredictability that I like.  As always, your mastery of great guitar tones speak volumes.  Keep it up!

hi Lynn,

Wow, thanks for those comments - I'm glad you liked it.

How are you doing?

Doing OK - just busy with personal issues these days, though mainly very mundane stuff that take away my internet time if not my studio time.  Thanks for asking :)

Yeah I get it. Trying to push some boundaries. That's cool. Got to have fun and cross a few yellow lines.  That's what made the 70's so great and that's sort of where this took me. Good stuff, John. Follow your heart. I enjoyed your adventure!
