Setting so timeline slider will go wherever I want to put it

If I *don't* want the slider to snap only to certain intervals - what I think of as a "snap to" function, where do I find the setting for this? I.e. I want to be able to move the slider *anywhere* including at the fully zoomed sample level from one sample to the next.

Both "Snap" and "Snap to Grid" are in the index.  While the "Online Documentation" has a search feature, I have found that many times the Table of Contents and the Index are more efficient for me when used with my browser's Find feature [Ctrl + F].

Absolutely. The big problem with search boxes is if you don't know exactly how what you are searching for is phrased, exactly what it is called or how to spell it, you often come up blank.
