Good mix, only thing I would say is perhaps the vocals could come up just a tiny little bit

Otherwise, really enjoyed this

That was done on purpose, I wanted the focus to be on the drums and the vocal in the "bridge".

As noted @Citizen Regen the vocals must have been really deep, this is very much more in line with the genre. Has the Citizen Regen stamp on this for sure.  Mix works well here on the Events.

Wayyyy Cool!!  I'm not big on Metal either but this could make me like it a bit more.  The effect on the vocal is ear catching, like a buzz saw.

Thanks, John!

The thing you're hearing is probably my low vocal, singing an octave below the lead voice. There's no special effect on that vocal, besides reverb and delay.

I usually double track verse vocals, and triple track choruses and bridges.

Awesome! Great mix. I thought the vocals were just right.

 

FYI: for those not familiar with the genre common in metal the guitars tend to be the main focus and the vocals are usually further down in the mix surrounded by the rest of it, instead of riding on top. They're just another melodic - or depending on subgenre -  rhythmic element. Exceptions mainly being bands with an absolutely stellar vocalist like Rob Halford or Bruce Dickinson.
