A quick web search says today's value of 1977 $1000 is $4475. After 45 years it does not strike me that my $1000 was any real investment. Footnote: The guy I bought it from was a P-Bass collector/seller. He admitted he did not know much about Alembics. It belonged to a young student (12 years old) of his who was unable to play the long scale.
