Bapu Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 (edited) There's this*: I waited too long to order the Sunburst. Now out of stock so I ordered the "blackie" * a Squier will suffice as I may not play this one every time I record. A new Fender Custom Shop Bass VI is 10 times, yes I said 10 times, the cost. jackson white Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 (edited) Fender's gotta pay for that Presonus acquisition somehow and have surely noted that a certain bass player seem to have plenty to spend on plugins. Edited November 7, 2021 by jackson white 2 1
RBH Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Everybody needs one of those, even if you just think you don't: simple enough. 2
Sheens Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 (edited) at approx half Squier money, this guy with Roswell (UK) Alnico 5 pickups, maple neck, graphite nut and Diaddario strings normally would be simular quality level to Squier. So now I get a signed Bapu plectrum maybe ? https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_ms_60_vw_ltd_edition.htm Edited November 7, 2021 by Sheens

Sheens Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 I bought a big box of car tyre balancing weights to glue into control cavities of my cheap guitars. that way they shouldn't feel so light and cheap anymore. I'm mad I know 1 1

I think that was George, doubling the part on guitar an octave higher. The phrasing of the two are identical and it's his song anyway.
Shane_B. Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Just saw a vid on utoob that said John played one of these or something similar on While My Guitar Gently Weeps. It does have a very non-Paul style bass line in it imo.

pbognar Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Listen to this one with headphones. I hear Bass VI, and then in the chorus, there are 2 additional guitars playing with the bass, one and two octaves up respectively. And based on the timing and phrasing, to me it sounds like the same person recorded all three. The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Isolated Bass) (Surround Sound)
