From the bottom up:

200w per side power amp

Custom built input director

Alembic 2 ch preamp

SansAmp GED-2112 preamp

On top of the rack is a two way selector

The two way selector chooses either the Alembic or SansAmp preamp.

The input director can accept my Alembic Series 1 (far left 5 pin input), Stereo Out of Rick bass or any mono bass. In order for the mono bass to run there is a Mono/Stereo switch, it must be selected to Mono.

The input director also send the signals to the Alembic preamp.

Finally the input director powers on/off everything as it has AC inputs on the back so all the other units leave their power switches on 24/7 365. I did this mainly because the Alembic preamp's power switch is at the back of the unit.

He has plug-ins too?

How are we supposed to find these things out if he never ever ever mentions them ever?

I read it on one of those www fact checker sites, so it must be true.

Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but he's not even a CW user.

I have it on good authority that he's into Studio One 666.

What's this?

Do you have an Alembic now?

Why wasn't I informed?

Why haven't you ever mentioned it?

What's an Alembic?

Enquiring minds are avidly awaiting your explanations 9_9

I was was going to mention it once but thought "Hmmmm I'd better not, might seem like a brag."

I have to admit, when I first read the title I thought maybe you had lost your senses, and this might be one of those IBTL threads, or maybe even a "banned for life," threads, because maybe you are still in mourning, and folks can do some crazy things when the shroud has been wrapped.

Thankfully though not that.

that is one nice live rig bass rack you have there.

I have a request, how about you post a bass solo and walk us all through the sonic capabilities of this rig.  That would be very cool, and archival, because you just never know.

I think I'll do just that. I have to send my Rick back to the luthier since it has a fret buzz that is driving me nutzo. Doing that tomorrow (it's just a daaaaay awaaaaaay).
