This is one of the many reasons why this forum is so valuable to me. I would never have found out about this and I really love these new sounds. -
Audiomodern NEONIC - Dub Techno Expansion Playbeat Pack
Reid Rosefelt replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
All the expansion packs for Playbeat are on the Audiomodern site https://audiomodern.com/playbeat-packs/ So far there are eight free ones (including this) and one paid one--FORM, which is $5. EDIT: Whoops! Actually there are 7 free ones and 2 paid ones--FORM and ORACLE, which are $5 each. I'm very impressed with their business model, giving away all this stuff. Not only the expansions but Panflow, Gatelab and Filterstep--not too shabby. I also like that they sell their entire suite for the iPad. You can play around on there and then transfer the files to your computer. https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/audiomodern/id1435691908- 1 reply

I'm not sure if the Percussion Agent is in GA SE, but it is my favorite part. The ability to change the complexity, randomness, intensity, etc of the various percussion instruments. All this can be automated. But as is so typical with Steinberg, they do NOTHING with this. They should sell more percussion Agents with world drums, but no... I bought a few of their excellent expansions, and I rarely use it. I'm going to load it up today and put it though its paces Simon Stockhausen's Colliding Worlds is very cool https://www.steinberg.net/vst-instruments/groove-agent/expansions/colliding-worlds/

Band-in-a-box Xtra Styles PAK 13 & XPro Styles PAK 3
Reid Rosefelt replied to Yan Filiatrault's topic in Deals
Just a slight note about this. There are three XPro PAKS. The first one works with BIAB 2021 and the other two need 2022 The regular Xtra Styles require the version of BIAB that was out when they were released. So XtraStyles 13 needs the 2022 Ultrapak XtraStyles 11 & 12 need 2021 XtraStyles 9 & 10 need 2020 XtraSTyles 7 & 8 need 2019 and so on. BIAB does not make it easy to buy from them. Their site is really confusing. But they make up for it by having such excellent customer service. It's easy to get things sorted out. -

The Winds of Whoopee are coming. ? These epic sounds will provide a cushion against the darkness of hell and the chill of winter. You heard it here first.

This is one of my favorites. And of course you can test it for free. I have a theory that the Beatmakers are programmed by different people. I definitely see different levels of quality that have nothing to do with the music styles. This one I like. RICO too. Plus HYPE is directed towards EDM if that's something you're into. Plus you get the Antares CHOIR plugin for free with any AudioDeluxe purchase.

Band-in-a-box Xtra Styles PAK 13 & XPro Styles PAK 3
Reid Rosefelt replied to Yan Filiatrault's topic in Deals
Yes, it was state of the art. Shortly before that, I got my music software on 3.5 floppy discs (1.44 MB) My first DAW, Sequencer Plus, came on a 5.25 floppy (capacity 1.2. MB) You put in the disk to load the software in memory, took it out and put in another disk to save your songs. In those days a 20MB hard drive was considered good size. So you can see how excited we were to get software on a CD, which had up to 700 MB of data. ? -
Band-in-a-box Xtra Styles PAK 13 & XPro Styles PAK 3
Reid Rosefelt replied to Yan Filiatrault's topic in Deals
Yes. My sense is that it 's better to start with BIAB by buying from a reseller. Then upgrade as you like from PGMusic. When I first bought BIAB it was a $50 CD at Sam Ash. Since then I have been upgrading now and then... ? -

The upgrades deals for Mac Users are up now. PC is always end of the year and Mac is always summer. https://www.pgmusic.com/bbmac.htm If you are interested in the Xtra Styles PAKs you should call them. -
Band-in-a-box Xtra Styles PAK 13 & XPro Styles PAK 3
Reid Rosefelt replied to Yan Filiatrault's topic in Deals
I thought I was reasonably knowledgeable about all the BIAB products. I have Xtra Styles PAKs 1-12 and I will get 13. And I've collected a lot of bonus 49Paks too. But I don't really understand these XPro Styles PAK series. They are being directed at the PRO (lowest level) customers, but apparently there is new material for everybody? To be honest, I was surprised to see I didn't own any. I'll have to call them and see how much new content they add for somebody like me. Anybody own these XPro Styes PAKs? And then PGMusic will get me to upgrade and buy another Xtra Styles PAK in December. ? -
I'm not sure what your question is. ? This would get me not one but two things I don't need and won't use for a whole year! ?

This is actually a good deal. Too bad I just bought the Reason upgrade.

Lots of companies, from Spitfire to Orchestral Tools and beyond, offer excellent free instruments. But IMHO, Heavyocity is doing is doing something new with the Foundations series. They are all part of a series, not a series of one-offs. In each, the sound of the instrument is good, but it works as raw material for the background layer/arps/gates. They are what is commonly called cinematic instruments. And they sound as good as many instruments you pay $50 or more for. And are really fun to play. Folks, I think one of the reasons they are offering us these great free gifts is to get us off our whiny asses and get us to install their installer. That way we can buy all kinds of other Heavyocity stuff. It's not so heavy, brothers! Stop bellyaching and enjoy the goodness! Quick rundown of presets: In-depth from the great @Simeon Amburgey

It's been that way since at least 2014. New version comes out in even numbered years in August/September. Everything that has been released officially since the last version was included in the new version of Komplete. Of course they mess around. I was a bit surprised that Arkhis wasn't in Ultimate last time around. Had to wait for the summer to get CE. Sometimes something new will come out at the time of a release that wasn't out before. That's the way it's been, but there have been a lot of changes at NI. What's going to happen with Soundwide? But my fingers are crossed that things will go on this year as in previous ones.

I want this, but I think I can hold out for August/September and Komplete Ultimate CE 14. It is July. Boy, time goes fast.

I really don't want to be snarky about this. After all, I just upgraded to Reason 12. But I can just see the meeting. What if we made a limited edition version of Scaler 2? Something that did a small fraction of what it does? Only not as well? And then let's charge more! (List price of $69 vs $49 for Scaler 2) It honestly makes me sad. This is the kind of thing that if Reason had come out with years ago as part of one of their upgrades that truly would have been amazing. But they seem to live in a parallel universe where nobody knows about what other products exist on the market. On the other hand, Audiomodern's Chordjam is a product that makes total sense to me, because it does things that Scaler doesn't do.

This is one of my favorite plugins. As the name suggests, it's both granular and reverb. The video shows what amazing sounds you can get out of practically anything . A great deal at this price. https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/audiority-grainspace-granular-reverb/
