  1. I tried Smart Gate on Kick In, Kick Sub, Snare Top, Snare Bottom, Hats & 8"/10"/12"/14"/16" toms. In my case all of these were "fixed" right out of the gate (see what i did there?) except the hats. In this track there two sets of hats. They both required just a tad of tweaking. I'm pleased with the results of this plugin.
  2. And 3 updates: ANA 2 Bundle, Lustrous Plates & Transient Shaper All Installed!
  3. FWIW, the simple answer for me is reducing bleed on live drums like: too much snare in the kick track, or the reverse too reduce drum bleed in hi hats track reduce (nearly) everything in tom tracks (or spend days cutting out everything before and after a tom hit (time 4 or 5 depending on the drummers approach to a song) Some people like bleed, others detest it. "Bleed" is better in overheads and room mics (IMO).
  4. I dinnit want to be 'that guy' so I left the door wide open for you, @kennywtelejazz
  5. And thus it may be wise to have many (seemingly same) tools as one size may not fit all. ?
  6. Based on his review (comparing to FabFilter Gate) SONIBLE wins.
  7. Another take I have both. Based on his review (possibly biased?) Oxford is better.
  8. FYI to be a plugin user one must be a plugin owner. That's child's knowledge.
  9. I'm slowing down my plugin purchases of late. Not because of the economy but my tool chest is approaching overflow and some of the tools still have the shrink wrap on them. Why can't I be both? Copy that.
  10. I own the dongle version and I got an email today that the native version was ready to install. Yet, I've updated UA Connect, logged out and logged in. Still not available. So I'll just say in advance: Installed!
  11. That might be useful when I record live drums in layers. I have found naming/numbering confusing in the past. I will be doing just that on 29 July.
  12. I'm excited to try this out on our (Citizen Regen) current work in progress song. All Citizen Regen songs are done with live drums, recorded pretty pristinely but there is still unwanted bleed of the snare in the kick and of course kick in other tracks as well.
  13. Welcome to our little corner @husker
  14. I'm fully convinced the DeEss wil never go on sale. Am I wrong?
  15. Rustee Allen was listed as the bass player on the album In City Dreams which included Bluebird it might be him.
