As usual i listen to everybody and was rechecking Battery 3 and it has a better velocity handling than kontakt , mmmm interesting ...oh battery still not resible as all NI stuff .... In this exemple , my 707 SD is full range , and when i hit hard , from 96 to 127 you'll here SD 4 added ....

yep but really SD3 seems deep and more powerfull for drums .. In knotakt fro exemple i have to layer drums and select velocity i want to place them ect...here just the velocity gate makes it fast and easier (on the eyes) insetad of working in kontakt ...funny you talk about it , i was cursing all this afternoon liteerally because of kontakt being 20 f...years old and no f .... resize !!!!, i'm skipping superb libraries (was working on gamelan samplelogic and some heavyocity stuff and said just make your own player and move on)

Guyz , for all owners , i'm seriously thinking of getting SD 3 , not for the sounds but for this superb playground , my question is using my own samples , are we able to create a kit from scratch (blank page ) and add items or do we have to start from a kit and replace stuff ? If i want 3 kiks 3 snares , can i display 3 kick and 3 snare and layout them how i want ? Thks

Actually testing those ez keys , you can demo them !!! sound sreally great , i don't find it like presets but more like an instruments with diff articulations if you fallow me ... HAppily surprised .... damn to many stuff to buy ....

I personnaly prefer nveloppe , the big strength ( both) is the freq selection for transient and sustain, brillant . I also tend to prefer horizontal layout on gui's lol ....

Thks Fleer , do they come with midi stuff ? actually scratching my head about getting Spectrasonics expansion unclean machine or some ez keys and treat them .... limitation can be a plus a lot of time ... hence the clear opposit on this choice , zillions of patches versus small print and tweaks limitations ... Unclean machine strength is the new FX (Lofi with 100 noise integrated ect ...) this will open keysacpes beauties to that era .... really , really tempting !!

loading theml in something like komplete kontrol or a 3rd party vst could make a diff , but really i ain't tripping , upgraded for chromaphone , rediscovering String studio 3

Yep Erik , i do find that one layer (2 resonator) is even better to have solid sound before it becomes to vulgarous ... os old libraries are great to play with and 2 resonator is enougth , sometime i want fx on one not theother , the second layer comes handy there , but it really increase the cpu even if only 2 resonnator are use at all , witch leads me to think that the framework design isn't optimised ... As for the cpu turbo boost it's not the thortelling , but heat i'm on a passiv cooling configuration , system is exellent like this , as soon as turbo is enabled , i start going in areas i don't want (but even like that i'm under 75 c while no turbo i'm under 60 on heavy projects , system is exellent most of the time i'm near 50 ) Actually producing here's my temps

Just to be clear , people that are thinking of upgrading , do it , at least to have Chromaphone 2 remastered content and use it as chromaphone 2 but with a superb gui , if you need to go deeper you can but used in a ONE Layer configuartion cpu hit is OK !! I'm actually creating patches now to conduct a real test and in one layers config it's smooth ...i'm gonna test one resonator only in each layer now and report ...

Yep , i can also don t use it , if aas was the only dev , ok , but man , even zenology and roland stuff are less cpu intensive ...

yep i usually freeze , problem being when AAS are inserted time wise , if the project is already loaded , even just playing the part will force me to render other VSTi's , i don't want to kill creativituy because of lack of optimisation skills !!! usually bounce in audio once i validate the whole production
